YAY! Love my girl Sombra, I'm glad you're giving her a shot. I don't really like her current gameplay design, but she's one of my favorite girlies. Just be prepared to have to relearn how to play her again in the future. She'll likely get another rework at some point
You are completely right about the shift abilities usually being mobility stuff. I know a lot a players who have swapped their key binds for sombra because they get confused using her abilities too.
Nice to see you're still trying out new characters. A very useful tip that you should be aware of with ALL characters is there's usually 2 routes besides the middle route. It doesn't matter what map you're playing on. The characters that are the farthest away from their team are almost always the easiest to get. and using the left or right side routes to get to them will carry you FAR. But how far back you can go behind their team changes depending on what character you're playing. A good rule of thumb to remember with EVERY character is, the more mobility you have the further back you can push before you need to rejoin your team. At higher levels it changes a bit but that's the general idea for most dps. Have fun. :)
You did well! Please hold tab at end of round so we can see scoreboard. When you are playing scoreboard something you will want to start to manage. Mute people, check who has a mic etc.
Before her nerf, sombra was SO fun to play but an absolute menace to play against. She’s one of those heroes that I have a love/hate relationship with lol unfortunately she’s been nerfed pretty badly now but I’m sure they’ll rework her again and possibly buff her

I always find it heart warming to see new players. I personally love playing as Juno, Lifeweaver, Kiriko, Ana, and Brigitte.

Sombra has always been fun even with the nerfs (I keep accidently throwing that hack instead of turning invisible lol muscle memory too strong)
