- Just a quick roundup of some "freshies" I've enjoyed during my time reviewing fragrances. Some of them aren't your traditional citrus freshies, but fall into a similar category.

I recently purchased Mancera's Red Tobacco. I love it!✨ Once you get past the controversially harsh opening, the dry down is smooth and sweet. Looking forward to wearing it out in the upcoming months.
Love this video Aaron! I always enjoy your reviews and this is a compilation of your favorites. I realy like how you review. Even when you don't like a scent, you do stay objective if the parfume is well made. This concept I'd love to see more often once a while. Platinum Égoïste is a scent for life for me and also one of my signature scents.
Been waiting on this one! Fresh is about all I can wear without getting a headache

I always learn something new from your insights Aaron, thank you. I also have many of your personal company frags that I adore and ALWAYS get compliments from people right away. With saying that, I would have to say that out of my entire collection (over a 100 frags) my absolute top two that I could live with til the end of days would be your ATH Tabac that blows my mind and then also RED TOBACCO from Mancera. STUNNING!!!
Nice video ATH! Here to second the Chanel Egoiste Platinum selection. That scent is simply incredible and women will always pick up on it. I call it the "Tell me you're an executive without telling me you're an executive" fragrance :). I always pick up as many bottles as I can via things like an American Express special or whatever, I love wearing it.
Recently purchased Homme and it's already one of my own favourite freshies. Your range is absolutely amazing!
I feel exactly the same regarding concentration preference among the 3 Bleu de Chanels. The EDT and the Parfum are my favorites. Great vid!!

My ATH samples came this morning and I ordered again an hr later. Insane! Love them so much. It’s amazing how much they change on skin. Wish I could order full sizes of so many 😩 decided on onyx and Luna but will defo look at buying more. Some of them I’d love as room diffusers.
Belting list as usual Aaron. Can't wait to see the next Vid👍👍 I would also have included Guerlain Habit Rouge and Guerlain I'Deal Cologne. Both amazing freshies and not too expensive. Although I'Deal Cologne was discontinued about 2 years ago TBF.
Mancera RT is one of my favorite frags... looove the dry down and silage... beautifully done
I wouldn't call Red Tobacco a freshie but it's one of my go tos.

Fabulous list. I own Halfeti and adore this one. Red Tobacco I I like better for cooler weather. Funny you mentioned PDM Harod. I have that on my radar and am between that and Kalan next. Another great review Aaron!

Love all of them (wore BDC EDT during the 2010s a lot) and now more Cédrat Boisé and Halfeti (really love it). I plan to pull the trigger on Gentle Fluidity Silver from MFK.

ATH I just want you to know you are by far my favorite fragrance guide. Thats my term for it. I would love to see a video on a educated review of Sauvage EDT vs EDP vs Parfum vs Elixir. If you read this anyway to get Smoulder which was limited, I didn't even know who you were then so I missed out on it.
Love you channel man! I would love to see more of your reviews on the house if Xerjoff. I just recently got into this house after years and years of not trying. I need to get an ATH frag in my collection! Your house is next on my list..my skin the same red tobacco is a freshie for me as well!
Your quality of videos got so much better, I think its the most natural thing to uncomfortable infront of a camera but that is also gone. Reeeally damn nice to see the flanker inside of the frame that you stand in, not in a sepersate picture(or smaller animations) I personally think ist mich better the way you do it.

I’ve been meaning to buy Bleu de Chanel Parfum. It is beautiful and easy to wear.
For anyone who loves Herod as a summer freshie banger, I also suggest Norne and Sova from Slumberhouse, Dior's Leather Oud, Killian's Angels' Share, and Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille. KILLER in high heat situations!

For me halfeti is the best all situation scent you can buy. You can even wear it in the gym as well but also for the office, night time, daily, ... And it's a real banger in terms of longevity. I sprayed it in the air some time and I could smell it for hours!!
Top Freshie scents: Mancera Cedrat Boise, Hermes L'Ombre Des Merveilles, Bleu De Chanel, Nishane Hacivat and Roja Parfums Elysium. To me Red Tobacco, Herod and Halfeti are just too dark to wear in warmer months and for me to consider them a freshie.
Nishane Hacivat is kind of ok until you spray Aventus on your other wrist and compare. Then you can pick up the screechy notes. It's like comparing Code Profumo with Salvatore Ferregamo Uomo (Signature). Code Profumo is not a favorite of mine at all but my point is that the side by side comparison reveals the screechiness of the Ferregamo fragrances.
What about on a hot night?
I'd wear red tobacco in a blizzard or a 5k race through the sahara
@@dextermorgan2117 Personally I cannot stand Aventus. I always loved the fruity pineapple opening to it but found the smoky birchy dry down to be disgusting. Hacivat for me allowed me to finally enjoy those fruity top notes, but now accompanied with something that I find more appealing. The oakmossy note in Hacivat instantly evoked memories of being in the garden as a kid, and so I have a fond attachment to it for that reason.

ATH, just need to say that Raw Cherry is insane. Sprayed it on a couple of hours before going to bed and it was still projecting the following morning 👌 sweet, calming and delicious. Superb work sir 🤝

Enjoyed this. I didn't think of these as "freshies" but it's all relative and dependent the nose and the wearer's skin.
I respectfully have to disagree with Red Tobacco and Herod being frieshes. Definitely fall and winter frags in my opinion. Herod is cozy and sexy and I do love it. I liked Red Tobacco for a while and got tired of it. To me PDM Carlisle is what Red Tobacco should have been. It's a smoother, sexier, not so in your face version to me. More rounded out. Always love your videos Aaron. Keep it up 🤜🤛

Bleu de Chanel parfum is fantastic!
My favorite "freshie" is probably Percival by PDM but I also really like Versace pour homme, especially the dry down.
My problem was it never lasted on me a versace that always stayed forever on me was eros when it first came out i remember that scent would stay forever
Sedley is better than Percival
Love all these... Egoiste platinum was a staple for me through the 90s , love most Penhaligons you need to try Constantinople, Cairo too. They are great ☺️🦄
The one I heard about was Iris Prima
Mancera cedrat boise and mancera black gold are my signature fragrances which are good for this time of year and are fresh. Penhaligons Quercus is a good shout from that house as well

Hi Aaron, try Mancera’s cedrat boise intense. Its a woody freshie but a beautifully blended beast.
I would also suggest to use it once and let it macerate gor couple of weeks to feels its true magnificence.
Fragrance opinion can change anyway regardless of skin or tester strip, quite a few times over the years I've brought a fragrance thought this is a let down and put it away and 6 months later saw it and thought I'll give it another go and i absolutely loved it after, I actually did exactly this with armani code profumo and yet last winter i wore it a lot
Herod is amazing! Did not look at it as a freshy though..........milder summer temps you think? 70-80s?

I’m glad you mentioned some fragrances that people wouldn’t associate with spring or summer. I wear Red Tobacco periodically during the summer when I’m outside with friends. It lasts from morning till night with 2-3 sprays and never need to reapply. Another one I wear a lot in the spring/summer is Oud Wood. For some reason it lasts longer and projects better in the warmth and sun. Excellent video! Cheers!
Red Tobacco in the summer is a VIBE. Absolutely love it.
Oud Wood is underrated in warm weather. I still only wear it at night but the sillage is much better during the summer.

Love your info as always Aaron for me the edp blue de channel is best get the citrus and density of parfume only criticism would be longevity but that’s why I use Leyton parfume de marly can’t fault either x

I know u don't want to make the channel all about top 10s but it will be amazing to make from now and then especially you smell new perfumes everyday.
Louis Vuitton Imagination 🔥 My most favorite freshie/summery at the moment. Bleu de Chanel works great on hot skin I guess. I just tested it today again on the back of my hand. 2-3 hours later, when I blow my hot breath on the back of my hand it starts to smell different and very nice. Have to try it out in the mid summer heat.

Aaron, yep , I will admit that the penhaligons halfeti is awesome, bleu de chanel parfum awesome, and lately I'm totally addicted to ORMONDE MAN BY ORMONDE JAYNE, it's a total unadulterated MASTERPIECE. Please try it, the base notes are lovely , it grows on you like nothing else. Sheer perfection.

Ormonde Jayne has bad performance… not like what they produce before.
@@lonewolf5969 personally I find it performs just right, it doesn't choke the entire building out admittedly but it has an extremely classy touch that literally cannot be ignored, 1 spray on myself lasts about 6-8hrs on my skin. It's just lovely.
When I think of freshies I think of green, aquatic etc. With that said Aaron, have you ever tried inekes Idyllwild fragrance?
A great blue alternative that gets overlooked is Versace Dylan Blue. I much prefer it to Blu de Chanel / Savauge etc.
Interesting that the only true summer freshie here is Edition Blanche, which happens to be my favorite hot weather fragrance as well!

I love Penhaligons have you tried Blenheim Bouquet a really old fashioned Barber shop smell i just wished it lasted longer on me.
MFK gentle fluidity silver and bohemian lime by goldfield and banks are 👌👌👌 for daytime frags for me.

You're 100% correct about the sillage on BdC; I was at a walking event with friends who are not into frags, and there was a middle age man walking ahead of us, and I asked my friends "do you smell that?" They could all smell the very familiar citrus-freshy-clean-y thing we all know. I said "that's Bleu de Chanel." They all said "Oh, it's nice!" I said... "I friggin HATE IT." ;) (Because I do).
Anyhoo, THANKS for this, I'm _not_ a freshie fan *at all* , much more a dark oriental etc type, but am always looking for different/unique freshies I can try and have wanted to check out Red Tobacco for a long time; I'll def get a sample now. Love your vids, hope all is well with you over there!

Is there something I could layer the Egoiste with to give it better performance?
Coating myself with lotions, petroleum jellies, oils, etc, isn't an option, as I live in Houston TX where the heat and humidity are nearly 100°F with 100% humidity throughout the summer and turns them into runny, cloying cesspools of a mess.
