It's how she uses her chest whenever she sings which makes her tone very pleasant to the ears. While Kat's voice is somehow close to So Hyang which is very thin but of course Kat's ability is still superb. It's just the tone of Mori and the emotion in her voice that captures me. Katrina chooses to prioritize very long passages in her singing, Morissette chooses not to. I personally prefer Morissette's way of singing, but that doesn't take anything away from Katrina being supremely talented.

Her power, soul, emotion and sassiness is in her favor. People need to see the whole picture. Not just the singer. Only Morissette! It's no goal in itself to hold a note, but it has to fit the song, the storiytelling and to transport the emotions. Morissette does both, and it's always perfect for the performance.
I think Mori is more cleaner diction and vocals than Katrina.. and Mori doesn't hold her breath, continues flows.. unlike Katrina stops when she's going to belt. Just my opinion both singers are incredible..

Mori is a complete package...Besides, she became popular without using this kind of post . I have seen her post about how she worked hard to reach these polyphonic notes. I think it was her father's post..I even saw her video when she was 12 years practicing whistle note until it became her signature .. Kaya lang nagyon parang she stops whistling..those were the days...
