Joe, the "now would be a great time to mention the very lax steroid testing policy of the early UFC." with the "Boom perfect timing." @3:10 had me dyyyyyyying!!! Well done.
It’s almost sad. He was a defending undisputed champion, he was cheered on by sold out arenas. Black out entrances. By far the most famous fighter to ever grace the octagon. For good reason. His hands were explosives. He had the touch of death. Most fighters back then were more wrestling oriented since American high schools did a lot of wrestling. He stuffed those attempts, took away your only weapon, then blasted you across the chin in front of millions of people. It’s sad because he started way too late. He started seriously training at like 32 years old. He got so much work done in spectacular fashion at such an old age, but he just wanted to keep going. It’s sad because he loved the sport and the adrenaline, and the fans, and the fight so much that he continued far past his prime. It’s sad because, he’s be amongst the greatest of all time without argument if it weren’t for his 6 losses in a row. 22 wins, 18 knockouts... he was like the mike Tyson of MMA... it’s sad because he truly deserves to be in the GOAT conversation, but since he lost 6 in a row he isn’t. In my books he is. He was a pioneer of the sport. Transcended the sport of MMA, and brought it to a whole new level. It’s sad because had he just fought a little sooner he’d of had 30 knockouts and would have been able to retire comfortably before 48 years old. But also the UFC was founded in 1994, he was nearly 28 years old when the sport was founded, and nearly 30 years old when he joined the UFC full commitment style...
Liddell is the light heavyweight goat in my eyes. Simply put he put them legendary Coture to sleep, people seem to forget that Coture was then greatest champion before Stipe, GEP, and Silva. People forget because Liddell just loved fighting to much and sadly father time can't be beat.
Early 30's is still young and when you're at your best athletically if you're not full of overuse injuries that keep you from training how you should, that's the reason most athletes retire in their 30's, not because of age. You're stronger in your 30's, if you can start then, you will have at least 10 years of high level competing because you don't have wear and tear from competing and training camps.
I have only one "complaint" about this video , well its not even a complaint , its wishing that this video was a lot longer, regardless though, much appreciation to whoever put this video together and uploaded it for us to enjoy ....I LOVED IT . THANK YOU VERY MUCH 👌👏👏
This dude… so much fun to watch. He fought like he would lay his life down every match, no matter who the promotion or venue was. Perfect blend of humility and confidence. Legend.
I don’t really keep up with todays UFC. I’ll watch free fights on youtube, weeks or months after the event happened, from fighters I don’t know, or just vaguely remember hearing their name somewhere, and honestly, I mostly fast forward through the fight until theres some action. But back in Chucks day though, I was all in. I knew every fighter and I’d buy every Pay Per View. Every PPV was like a mini Super Bowl. Friends would come over and drink and party while watching it and it was a big deal. We’d talk about the results and imagine scenarios for weeks. Doesn’t matter if the fight went the full 3 or 5 rounds, or dude got knocked out in 10 seconds. It was really something special back then! And Chuck is definitely my all time favourite fighter hands down. His fighting style, his personality, his demeanour….just incredible! Just fucking legendary! Top 10 best combo in UFC ALL TIME.. he hit him with everything he had for about 20 seconds straight with no regard for his life
The bang sound effects for the punches really makes this doc fantastic. You really get a feel for how explosive and powerful some people's hands and feet are. Except you missed about 6 or 7 bangs in the flurry he lands on tito lol. One of the greatest punch flurry finishes in mma history lol. Great video my guy.
The nostalgia of watching those clips of all those fights I had the honor to watch live on TV back in the early days of Dana White’s UFC just makes me feel some kind of way. Man, I miss those years of my life, I miss all those original fighters.
He was so precise with his kicks & punches, WoW... Respect!!! 🙏🙏🙏
He had a iron jaw !
And later he couldnt take a hit !
It broke my heart !!
My favourite fighter ever !!!
Sadly, chins don’t last forever and we are seeing it happen now with Tony Ferguson:(
@@diamonddustin7664that ferguson pimblett fight was so hard to watch it made me depressed, a prime ferguson would’ve wiped the floor with a a bum like paddy. I hope tony retires for his health, a legend of a fighter that just doesn’t want to let go to father time, but it comes for all of us 😢
Never realized how old he was.
Ye man 94
I’ve been watching MMA and especially the UFC since you could only watch them on VHS tapes so these short documentaries really bring the nostalgia out and they’re A great Ray to pass the time if you’re having to sit somewhere like the DMV or even on your lunch break. Well done sir 👍 I love this channel 💪👊😎
My man, this was an awesome documentary of one of what I think is one of the greatest fighters of all time. You nailed this one.
The question is ...why does Joseph not have a over a million subscribers?🤷♂️
No one knows
It's the biggest travisty on you tube he is the goat @joevincent
Perhaps if he also started making videos of stars from the most popular sport on earth like Messi and Ronaldo his subscribers will more than double. Im his biggest fan but i think Joe needs to start doing soccer star videos because he is missing out on a bigger market than all the sports he is currently doing combined. Just my opinion.
@@kabohakevin4103 i mean honestly it takes a lot of work and this is assuming those people will watch it. When you make something on a us sport you have at least a knowledge of who is def going to watch it
@@kabohakevin4103 i would love to see one on those guys and i think you are right it is just a huge risk and it could backfire
Chuck was the hardest hitter Ive ever seen, he knocked guys out leaning backwards, or backing up....IMMENSE POWER IN THOSE FISTS!!
Ya man just the way he punched was like no other. U knew when he started the flurry, the guy was dropping. Fav of all time
Joseph I’ve watched your videos for years and I tell all my friends about your videos. It would be so awesome if you did a documentary on Dan Henderson. Keep up the good work brother
I just want to say, for me, your commentary makes these so much better.
When I first watched MMA Chuck is immediately what I thought an MMA fighter looked like. He is a legend and an undisputed icon. A true fighter that fought anyone anytime. To my knowledge I don’t believe Chuck ever pulled out of a fight either
Randy is the most interesting 205er ever. Only man I know who retired and came out of it because he wasn't happy with the competition and reclaimed his title in one fight freaking amazing.
Joe, the "now would be a great time to mention the very lax steroid testing policy of the early UFC." with the "Boom perfect timing." @3:10 had me dyyyyyyying!!! Well done.
Too hilarious
Take a shot everytime he says "It's sad"!!!! But for realz, he do spit factz
@@jeffkato6693 writing dis dfunk asfuxk dude but boroooo spittyng fax
He’s a legend that will never be forgotten in the history of combat sports. That’s better than most people get
Best in the business HANDS DOWN!!!!! NOONE DOES IT LIKE JOSEPH VINCENT...........................NOBODY!!!!!!!
I have only one "complaint" about this video , well its not even a complaint , its wishing that this video was a lot longer, regardless though, much appreciation to whoever put this video together and uploaded it for us to enjoy ....I LOVED IT . THANK YOU VERY MUCH 👌👏👏
Man I look forward to whenever you spit out another masterpiece. Thank you and keep up the great work.
These guys paved the way... Back when UFC had that dark element to it... I Love MMA Goddammit...
Chuck beat Jeremy Horn so bad, Joseph Vincent forgot his name.
lol Jeremy deserved better . 91-22-5 fight record.
@@insaneJamesS never heard of him
@@tylerrobinson7383 haha before your time. He's got some notable wins. Including submitting a green Liddell in the first round a few years earlier.
Ye, became jeff horn n beat pac man
This dude… so much fun to watch.
Thank you for this amazing look back Joseph Vincent.🍻
Sucks to be old but great to be old enough to have witness all of this fights from UfC 1
Chuck was one my favorite fight of all time
Ortiz " you look like more less snowman" true wordsmith
Oh man I love these Bored Film documentaries!! The music and sick ass quotes added in the right spots, like the terminator when talking about Chuck Liddell. Awesome 🤯😁👌
His combination of precision and power was so unique. Just amazing.
Tito had to wait until he was 48 years old to beat him and even then he’s lucky chuck’s didn’t clip him with something !!!
That bitch ass Tito said he beat Chuck at his best. Had been in MMA for 9 years and was almost 50 years old. Tito was a joke and always has been.
@@mindgrenade567 totally agree!! Made a similar comment on here!!
I'm kinda surprised you didn't add the clip where chuck is on JRE talking about how he lost his iron chin after his second time being KOd. Like his body would just shut down when he got hit. Dude wanted to keep fighting so bad, but his body just gave out. Guy is a legend.
chuck and randy’s hair fit together like puzzle pieces
How do these doc not have more views? These are all outstandingly done. Thank you!
this one hit different. long live the iceman & Jo Vincent’s sports docs
now i finally realize how tito got so special. got his brains knocked out.
Just finding out about Chucks greatness, I can see why people call him a legend!
Chuck really was that guy no one could tell him he couldn’t that emotion at his retirement speech he loved to fight he will never lose my respect and iv been watching my whole life
This dude is my favorite fighter from the old days. That dude really deserves all the praise in the world for everything he's done for this sport
Man what a great vid. I can’t believe it’s been that long since Ice Man hit the scene. Time slows for no one.
The first fighter I was a huge fan of 😁 brings back great memories of my childhood!
That boy been putting in work! Love all the consistent content homie
Appreciate it!!
Crazy how wanderlei silva was never mentioned he had some wars with Liddell
Yeah they had a pretty good fight That's what I was thinking
I was waiting for that. It was his last great fight.
Very good documentary. Thank you Joseph Vincent.
Incredible documentary you made here. The word is over used but this man is a fn legend of the sport. Thanks for sharing.
Me: feeling hyped for the Iceman
Joey Tribbiani: Hey, How you doin
10:58 😂
She was bad tho
Chuck and Randy is the prime example that MMA is for people above 30.
That’s kind of an uneducated statement lol
That's such a boomer statement. Maybe that's why I agree with it lol.
It's the truth, the younger you start the more damage you accumulate
Ortiz really wasn't in the same league as The Terminator Liddell. That's exactly how Chuck fought, like a Terminator. Another guy that fought similar is Justin Gaethje. But wised up after he lost 2 in a row + the punishment.

Suffered a broken face in his last fight. He was supposed to grow into the UFC but it was too tough
This editing work is brilliant my man. Damn good job
I was a kid just starting to watch UFC when he was coming up and he really is the one who got me watching it. def my fav fighter or all time
The man who got me started watching MMA! Great documentary!
