This Is HUGE news for Hogwarts legacy & I hope this works Out For The Better! What do you think we'll see from this potential direction for Hogwarts Legacy 2... They NEED to (in an update for the already existing game or in the sequel) add Quidditch, Triwizard Cup, ALOT more spells, improve dueling (maybe turn it into its own thing instead of just a regular battle), add an honor/choice system (that actually matters), make the game much longer (all seven Hogwarts years and beyond), lessons should become more than a cutscene or quick minigame, multiplayer... I could go on but just doing this to the original game would make it 11/10.
especially if the next game is getting a bigger budget, they should take every opportunity to listen to the fanbase and add these things since they're wanted
More creatures and enemies, and a more widely expandable map, have the option to do wandless magic, make a pvp feature, and like u said a more diverse and various spell selections, lastly CHARACTER CUSTOM! I was baffled by the lack of character customization

its nothing in temrs of money, basic sales are low profits nowadays, online is what makes companies money, and if they will do it right, it will be better for both side, the key word is right.
Online provides a constant and predictable source of revenue, similar to how Adobe moved to the subscription model.

What I really want for Hogwarts Legacy is more hairstyles. 80% of the longer feminine hair are just in various buns...
I hope they include the option to say No in certain situations that would get your character in trouble. Take these two cases for example. When you have to get that feather for Weasley, i said yes for me Slytherin character cause that's how i played her. But for my Gryffindor character, i wanted to say no, youll get me in trouble, but i was forced to get the item before it allowed me to proceed. Same for the flying lessons. I wanted to say no to the detour, but again, was forced to nake a decision i didnt want to
Just a quick correction, you can in fact not steal the feather. Simply leave Sharp‘s office without it. You can also steal it even if you told Garreth no and keep it for yourself. All the different ways to handle this situation will trigger different reactions from Sharp.
But I agree on the flying lesson situation, I don’t think there’s a way to not follow Everett off the grounds.
Sebastian's the epitome of that. Soo many times I wanted to choose "So Ominous here's the plan we stun him, have an intervention that dark magic is not going to help then back each other up with NO everytime he tries to talk us into something." Not to mention as a Ravenclaw why on earth did I let him take a rare book away without a chance to read it myself.

I am aware you might not have any idea about this topic but... do you think the developers will make better interactions between mc and other students in Hogawrts? For example honor status like in RDR2? or maybe love relationships possibility in the second game? What do you think? :D
I think those would be really cool & engaging concepts to add in a second game. Bully was a Highschool game, & had those exact things... They should be able to pull it off & focus more on those things as the foundation of the game is done with the first game. I hope they do expand on the franchise by adding these features
My only concern is because they will be pushing live service in Warner Bros games, i'm scared they will be too focused on implementing a live service model & not give much time to these mechanics even though they are sorely needed... great games that have done it are Persona & Bully
Hogwarts Legacy is the only game I’ve ever played, where I wish there was more DLC
What also needs to be looked into is to make your choices and actions have consequences and have the npcs react properly to the character. You can’t just cast an unforgivable curse in the school without someone saying something.
They need to drop Nintendo/Switch report and ramp up everything, more customization, abilities, options, etc.
I’m ok with live service system like Pokémon…. It’s there to enhance your experience but you can totally complete the game the stories and catch most of the Pokémon all by yourself so you won’t be relying on it like you’re playing mmorpg games with guilds, party, war, communication system. I think they did great in Pokémon SV as they try to push online system but not too much there and I hope HL won’t make a mistake of making players depends on live too much.

@@jayjuanradford8366 some people don't look at it like that, they put themselves in the character shoes and think back to their teenage years when they had a crush or girlfriend, it's like watching a movie with two characters in the same setting. Tons of shows do this on TV so I don't personally see the problem with games doing it.

There's no update about Hogwarts Lecacy 2 since, at the moment, there are no plans for an eventual Hogwarts Legacy 2.
I think every game should go the Baldurs Gate 3 route when it comes to Singleplayer and Multiplayer. Have a singleplayer mode that can be played coop.
If they are smart they will leave Hogwarts legacy single player, bring out the quidditch game as a live service. And do a wizarding world MMORPG. I think and mmo could work

If they add more customization to your character, specially using red eyes would be great. As well as being able to play Quidditch and possibly entering yourself in the Triwizard Tournament. And it would be interesting if they added an element of romance with a character of your choosing, much like Assassins Creed Valhalla.
WB needs HW2 to sale because of SQ flop. However if they change it may be a flop. There’s a saying,”if it ain’t broke don’t break it”

I hate the fact EVERYONE points towards Arkham Knight. It's a different game all together and a different team, come on stop griping about the same crap and have a mind of your own. People always want to follow what others say and sets themselves up for failure when playing a new game, there's always those ones that say it's not because of that but we all know that's bull. I actually think it's decent, no it's not Batman but still good when you don't listen or pay attention to the whinners of the community also the ones that complained Cyberpunk didn't come out when THEY wanted it to come out. If they want a fresh iP to fail then make it another damn live service game. I won't even touch it.
We need that morality system! If they go similar to star wars Knights of the old Republic sorta way you could have light and dark wizard playthroughs with wizards in the middle using a mix of both arts there are so many possibilities, creating your own spells perhaps? Complete npc interaction, maybe stop the repetitive duel club crap and ability to progress in the wider world e.g like taking a job at the Ministry as an auror or curse breaker and so on... but alas they won't do any of that as micro transactions seem more important to the devs there's no love or dedication anymore it's all about punting out the most minimal effort game possible and cram it with tedious and useless extras that cost the player hundreds for the sake of a wardrobe that has sillier fashion than a laurel and hardy episode

I wish Hogwarts Legacy was multiplayer.
I only play single player. I lack the fine motor control required to play most fight scenes on normal mode. Easy is even too hard on some games I've played. One of the things I loved about Legacy was the ability to change to story mode during some of the boss fights.
You can't exactly choose story mode for competing with other players. ;)

That is very concerning because I love Hogwarts Legacy and enjoy playing it as it is. However, if they are going down that road, I don’t think I’ll get Hogwarts Legacy 2. I would love to see more content for the MC in Hogwarts Legacy 2 and the trilogy game if they are still doing that, but I’m not paying for a live service.
Why can’t they just keep it the way it is and add DLC to it? I would definitely pay for the DLC, but not for a live service. I really hope they don’t go down that route; it would be disappointing because I like it the way it is.

It’s a little complicated because some people like the live service and some people don’t; it’s divided among people. I would like to have the game the way it is. I mean, there's nothing wrong with the live service. If they are making a second Hogwarts Legacy, which they probably are, I would just like Hogwarts Legacy 2 to be exactly like Hogwarts Legacy.
And if they are doing microtransactions, meaning that you have to pay for items and clothes, I’m just not getting the game. I mean, I hate to say that because I love Hogwarts Legacy a lot. I’ve been playing it for six months already, and oh my gosh, I cannot put it down. I mean, I’m taking a small break for now, but that’s going to be heartbreaking.
They will and they will blame something different than themselves for its failing. And what are we left with? A failed, changed sequel that could have worked but just killed another franchise because of money.

It would be fun to see it in the Live service aspect, but we already have games where you HAVE to be at least one of those characters. Not to mention the fact that the first Hogwarts Legacy is set a full century before Harry Potter. So, as much as I agree that that would be amazing, it wouldn't be Hogwarts Legacy, they would just be rebranding the Harry Potter games, making them significantly better than their PS2 and PS3 counterparts
