The definition of diaspora in is not just the recent people who have left Africa it is inclusive to even the stolen people from Africa who are we turning.
I don't like how they try to exclude the descendants of slaves as diaspora end but they are they come from Africa they are the descendants of Africans their bones of their ancestors are buried on the continent of Africa as well as the land of their captivity

Such a marvellous interview ... Amazing insights these diaspora-speakers have about how to contribute to the upliftment of their parental continent... Africa has a superb nucleus of people & I can see a marvellous future for Afrika if Afrika unites into ONE CONTINENTAL NATION ... OMG look at the strengths awaiting to synergize & lift Afrika out of its difficulties ... But why doesn't the diaspora in the USA unite the African Continent with USA ? This thought always comes into my mind ... I mean Africa is intrinsically superior in natural resources & genetic superiority... So why not get Afrika to unite with US across the Atlantic ... 🦩🙋

Thank you Africa! My heart is full with the love for descendants of slaves were stolen from Africa, our homeland. So grateful to hear that Africa is looking for us. They want us to come home to bring our skills, our talents, our innovation, resources & resilience. We can share our knowledge, a good fortune, ourselves to be a blessing to our home land. I decided to purse my doctoral degree before I relocate to Africa.
I will be done in two years and look forward to coming home to help Africa & my African family thrive. See you soon Mother Africa & African family. I am also doing my best to learn Ibo language. I have not done my DNA so I don’t know where I came from. But I thought I can’t go wrong Learning a Nigerian language. The Nigerians in America have been so sweet and kind to me, teaching me about my food from Africa, how to dress like an African lady, and much more. I know there is a lot for me to learn about home, and I am ready.

Interesting, @34’ the host comments that diaspora (new diaspora) are also black, like the African Americans in the Black Lives Matter movement. Despite the fact that the subject/title of the current discussion refers to ‘the African diaspora’, and in the introduction the African Union definition of diaspora is quoted, the host, at least, is conceptualising the diaspora as new/recent diaspora, not inclusive of old diaspora. Should old and new diaspora be goal-setting and problem solving separately? The intention of the discussion should be made very clear; Who is ‘African unity’ referring to? That would be useful to me, as old diaspora.

If there is a country where they feel like African Americans or the diaspora people are really not welcome then it’s not problem, then African Americans or diaspora people should not support that country until they fully change there ways. Those countries should be named. People we are too close to start this nonsense do people understand that we are on the verge of bringing people together on a massive scale.
