So, writing this after seeing how much I've written.. It's a lot lol. I would say I'm sorry, but, like you said, 90%of Twst is reading, so no harm done in a little more reading, right? But seriously, having this type of Twst content is really rare, so imma make use of it and talk about it below! After finding the opening on TH-cam, becoming entranced and finding out the game was only coming out in Japan without knowing if it'll ever get an English release? For the most part, the translators are fine in translating (sometimes REALLY funny), but there are times in which they change or remove certain lines from the Japanese version that would help the audience understand an aspect of the character that would ultimately learn more about who they are. A shame really, but, like you state in the video, there are resources that anyone can look up if they ever feel like a translation line is fishy (or they hear a character talk more than what is being translated). 18:00 Ayo Adeuce shipper? Honestly I myself haven't seen much of the dialog cuz I played jp, most of these are a bit surprise to me. I've seen some tumblr posts during it's time but didn't know localization was this bad, I looked it up and what happened to Sebek's lines?! that's not Sebek that's just a fanboy in the distance they couldn't capture character for almost anyone it's so dry and so many lines are cut. Made me feel ashamed as a translator. ps: I get that those translators put work into it but it is really a shame Disney most likely made them cut out so many things before it's finished, I honestly hope to never work with them.
The English version definitely makes some wild choices when it comes to adapting the lines over. Maybe it has to do with Disney's NA market compared to the JPN one? Either way, it's still frustrating to have to jump between the versions to understand the true aspects of the characters and story 😢
