I would argue that servers like Purity are more challenging than traditional anarchy servers. It’s a vanilla Minecraft experience like 2b2t where you don’t have to deal with hackers. Most items on the server are created in vanilla and most fights are genuine contests. In fact, servers like Purity, I’d argue, are truly what Notch envisioned. You think Notch envisioned people playing Minecraft with hacked clients and stacks upon stacks of enchanted golden apples? No.

Try out Venture Vanilla, it's got a lot of unique features most anarchy servers don't have but it still stays true to vanilla with no /tpa or /sethome bs.

9b9t is the second most active anarchy server (more active players at once than constant I am) I’m surprised Salc1 forgot it. I play on 9b9t a lot because I don’t want to wait in the 2b2t queue.
Hey Sal, you should check out betachy.net next time. It runs on beta 1.7.3 and is entirely vanilla. If my memory serves me correctly, there are no enchants, no hunger, no sprinting
The server IPs are really weirding me out. For those of you that don’t know, 2b2t actually means “2 builders, 2 tools.” The server, way back in the day, was made just for a few people. Only after all these years has it become the oldest anarchy server. So what’s weirding me out is all the names like 7b7t and 3b3t and all that because if they don’t have x builders and x tools to start on the server, does it really deserve to have that IP address?

not allowing cheats IS still anarchy ... you cab do w/e within the parameters of vanilla minecraft, which is the way it's meant to be played. 2b2t is just using its own unique parameters. at that point you could say smashing the physical server with a baseball bat should be allowed in anarchy.
