Personally this feels accurate, But the M11 is def a S tier for me as im always pushing 15+ kills with it in a single match, and same eith the throwing knives, ever since the buff ive been addicted to them
The mgl32 is a situational weapon for sure. It's one of the few guns that can wipe a team in terminal attack if they are bunched up holding the platform. The destructive damage should be higher imo. Situational weapons where you can quickly switch to go for a play is where non meta weapons (and gadgets) should be used. Changing it to make grenades stick to players and then explode would be an option to buff it to make it more viable as a main weapon.
Lh1 is perfect with the reduced recoil but damage should be 49 again insead of 52. It was definitely for TA. At 49 damage it would be an excellent gun and really well balanced wkth the new changes. Especially perfect accuracy while still and crouched
Don't worry, lights will still find something to complain about. I've seen people STILL complain about the winch claw, even though heavy has laughable weapons rn.
The V9S having such bad recoil animations is so annoying considering it's literally a hyper innovative competition pistol that specifically avoids recoil in the manner shown.
Hard disagree on Katanas > Shield and just shield being lower than CL-40 in general. Shield allows you to run while blocking majority of shots, which makes you extremely hard to kill in front if you are chasing an enemy. Katanas just stall the fights with deflect, not even allowing you to run and in very rare scenarios will let you kill a light or maybe medium.
That's really sad that Ottr thinks the heavy's Grenade launcher is F Tier. Even though in the right hand's It's Potential S, I respect your opinion, as it is very hard to use in the hands of an unexperienced player.
CL-40 was bad in high ranked in season 1 and 2, because it couldnt compete in dps output with fcar and ak. I was a CL-40 OTP that got to plat1, yet still performed better on the rare times that I play fcar. Now in season 3, the weapon got absolutely gutted. It takes an entire 1-2 shots more to elim anything. It basically reduced the output by 30-50%.
@@Kdjrodjr9 It's worse than just hurting. 3v3 vs two hook heavies and 1 long ranged light. It went from me being able to solo 1v3 with good positioning, to me being unable to escape roadhog's hook and not even being able to elim any of them. Even with 4 hits to a single heavy, I couldnt elim. And this is as a plat 1 cl40 OTP vs silvers. I legit just quit the game after that match. Uninstalled. The only weapon I liked and had fun with, is now literally unable to do anything against someone 9 ranks under me in skill.
I’ve been using the V9S for a while now and I’m loving it. Pressing the right mouse button several times while shooting at an enemy (zooming in and out) is super meta. Pretty much locks on to the target.
3:20 odd nitpick but I find that I land headshots (especially with spray and burst weapons) in The Finals wayyyy more than other FPS titles. I do think balancing a weapon with like headshot consistency in mind is a lil silly, but curious to see if other people have a similar experience
If you strafe in a circle while shooting the double katanas they go down fast & you take little to no damage. The cone it deflects in is so small it's easy to strafe out of while hip firing. Been wrecking Katana boys with this.
The Mgl32 is GOATED in the right hands and the tight situation. I use it for the early game to pick off lights from a distance, then switch to the Flamethrower when defending or attacking a cashout station. Simple, yet effective.
Personally love the bow. Just made a video showcasing it and that match was so fun. Also when I use it in Terminal Attack it's very viable thus far. Since the hitbox on the arrow is basically the size of a bullet it's very hard to consistently get damage until you have a lot more experience with it. For example: You can miss when people are jumping, since your arrow can go between their legs or arms. Overall I love it and personally I'd rank it in B Tier only because it's much harder to use consistently compared to what you have in A and S tier. I don't think it's weak though. It's a weapon that can easily become OP if changed, and I think it's in a good spot.
I feel these classes arent ranked as such. its your experience for you with them. that's an important distinction to make. We all play different not only prefer different. Things like DPS and other factors like mobility are the only things that matter as they make for a Max efficiency representation. Skill factor comes after. as If you play sniper and can hit head shots consistent its the best in game as its 1 hit to lights and 2 hit M 2 hit heavy. but if you cant snipe its going to be the worst gun in the game. Data is what is needed to show what guns are actually doing best in terms of overall users.
BRO. flamethrower is goated. Use it with the shield ability instead of winch. Spritz them once and let the fire do over time damage unless they are a heavy, get a good spray in and shield and let the fire cook em.
when riot shielding, try putting up the shield between strikes, especially when they're using a shotgun, you can catch their rhythm with the shotgun and usually put up the shield when they shoot and hit them before the next shot
The ks-23 also has a one-shot combo with the winch. For lights u can hook, shoot, melee. Mediums is less consistent but u can shoot, hook, shoot, melee and heavy is shoot, shoot, hook, shoot, melee. It also one-shots late game TA because it does 100 damage
I understand that for rank melee is not meta but in power shift they are and this game is mostly a casuals game most people dint even like old rank and that's the reason they are testing new mode as rank
something to note for newer players is this is a very good list for ease of use and versatility but an important thing to know os that the devs of this game have done a fantastic job with implementing very high skill ceilings on all the weapons. So just because riot shield and MGL are F tier that does not mean they cannot be used effectively. This is one of my favorite things about this game and what I think separates it from other FPS games like COD. Your many mobility options and abundance of varying team comps and strategies is what truly makes each weapon shine.
Very true. Especially in non ranked modes, sometimes it’s fun just to bring the mgl and gas mines or explosive mines and shoot your mines next to people for the extra damage. It can be done in ranked too though honestly if you have friends.
Once u learn how to bounce the gl or use it as a mortar it can be very effective. Also great for assists. Use charge and rpg when they are outside your cutout.
I use flame thrower with the mesh shield and just light em on fire and put my shield up, then when they get put out, light em up and shield again. Its like a turtle build. Also if you use mines woth it is easy to detonate them with it
KS23 and winch claw together is insane. If you are fast (takes only a little bit of practice) you can shoot and quick melee a light before they get to act and combined with the 15 damage from the winch claw the combo fully kills them
Nah I still won't use KS as it's horrible both Close range and Long range If they make it more accurate, it's probably become strong weapon but meh, even at blank point u can still miss if bullet not accurate lmao
Love how people like to complain “heavy is OP” but yet they don’t even have an S tier weapon. Medium class is busted and is much better at offense than most light builds.
That's crazy to say that a medium with an AR is better than 140 entry rpg 130 charge 80- 175 AOE slam after with 70 bullet LMG for what's left of that poor team
@@619jarradable the Medium’s ARs are the most consistent weapons in damage over most ranges- not only that but you mention health pools, and mediums might as well have multiple, cause a 3 stack of mediums literally run around reviving each other and out healing the damage you do. Medium is supposed to be the support class but it’s better at offense and defense than both light and heavy. Pay attention to your matches, medium is picked way more than any other class rn
Medium is stronger in team play yes. Heavy is Superior to every class when 1v1. Not to mention this will happen often last players at cash out. Heavys are better at carrying worse teams in pubs. Mediums stomp with 3 stack teams powerfully. 20-8 my second day playing, with the bow bro😂@@EternalRedEclipse
When you play flamethrower you want to not only set the enemy on fire but you also want to try to melee them while they are panicking. Also use structures I never go into the open without dome shield.
Yeah, burst weapons should have "first 2 bullets of XP-54" accuracy, and then a large kick AFTER firing that 3rd shot in the burst so there's a bit more recoil between each burst.
While the MGL on the heavy is definitely not good, don't let that dissuade you from trying it, after a couple of games practicing the bounces it can be an incredibly fun gun to mess around with in casual, trying to figure out the bounce paths on the fly to bounce nades off walls, roofs, and corners to hit enemies is extremely satisfying, and if you combine it with charge and the rpg you can have crazy splash damage potential and wipe out whole teams at once! It is also fun to run it with the motion sensor to try and bounce the nades around corners when you detect someone. It will however lose to basically anything if someone gets in your face, and certain maps or variants without a lot of walls and buildings will be really rough to play with it, but on the right maps in casual it can be one of the most fun guns in the game in my opinion
It's always good, but just in Tournament, u can't switch weapon and sometimes game bitching with Open map cashout Also thanks God they Nerf APS to ground, game is more enjoyable after APS gone ngl
I am a player who have played dual sword, I lost half of my life every time I engage a fight then the riot shield who was always a good agressif melee weapon. The riot shield can block the bullet at your left while sprinting at your target. Always attack your target anticlockwise with the riot shield, because you block bullets and attacking at the same time. The dual sword are bad and not worth it to buy, because it can’t deflect all the bullets of the Famas and you deal 50 damages with mean 3 hit for light, 5 hit for a medium and 7 hit for a heavy. The dual sword feel like the Dagger but hitting faster and can deflect bullets. I wish they will buff the dual sword to make them feel good to play (not like goat tier, but good to play).
Fork really good with vertical movement like the grapple hook and playing around the jump pad. Also using your gates to create just a high vertical drop can be really good and one V2 when you’re using the bow.
One thing to spice up the riot shield viability might be to have it so shield comes up extremely fast so you can out skill the opponent. Still not great but might look wacky
Honestly I love the bow. It's definitely not great per se but I've had some really good luck with it while playing, it just takes a lot of skill to do well with. Also I feel like melee weapons, especially on medium, need some sort of buff to make it easier to close the gap. Maybe slightly faster move speed but idk. Definitely disappointed that some of the new weapons are mid again though and would like to see that change.
Dagger is only good if you put the time in and learn how to dash through players for the backstab. Only melee that beats me is the sledge hammer if timed right other then that dagger is on top of
I mostly agree with this tier list EXCEPT heavy's ks-23 and flamethrower. I would swap them. Its really hard to aim with the ks and shoot damage and every shell counts
I wish they would optimise this game to run smoother on lower gpus. I have a 3060 and I get only 80-90 fps no matter if it’s high quality or low which is very weird. Another thing I would love the devs to remove from this game is visual recoil. Weapon recoil is enough, we don’t need visual clutter. It only ruins the fun of aiming
I feel like the spear should be for Medium and Riot shield for heavy, but I'm not sure giving a ballistic shield to a heavy is a good idea actually ... But my point about the spear still stands
I almost always have the most kills in matches with shield and flamethrower. You are good but you need to learn how to use it. Shield block flame dodge while flaming and they can’t really see you. It has a ton of damage. Dome for closing gaps with rocket and anti gravity for flushing guarding cash out etc
I think if I were balancing the game i'd bump down the S and A tiers to be in line with B tier to keep a longer ttk and incentivize players to try riskier weapons at all levels of play. Balancing around weapons that have more meat to them conceptually than "You shoot the guy" feels a lot more original and gives the game more of a personal identity.
I think they should release weapons in an overtuned state rather than undertuned. That way things feel fresh and new with people actually using these weapons, and it gets people to try them out and learn how to use them so if they get nerfed, there will still be people that use them.
Imo the M11 is by far the most viable light weapon, that thing absolutely shreds. Also the spear should move up to at least A tier, while spit attack isn't great the damage output is absolutely nutty and i've dropped several 15+ kill games with it
I was very sceptical about the Bow when I first heard about it, and it seems like I was right about it not being the best. It's a nice adition tho, ngl
I think you just don't know how to use mgl, no offence. The fact that you used it with winch is a big no no with mgl. Never fight close with the mgl, thats its biggest weakness. Abuse the ability to kill people around corners and run charge & slam to cover its close range weakness
I mean, i main those, and i have encountered people who think they are so op they play themselves, and i still own them, they are only good if you know what you are doing and even in that case the other weapons in the s tier are better, i agree with the fellow
I feel like you need to put more time into the riot shield. I've won so many terminal attack games by chasing down mp5 lights and they can't do shit when you run at them side ways so the shield passively blocks
Weapon swapping is nerfed for sword. You now have to wait for the time of the initial lunge before you can lunge again even after weapon swapping, making it essentially useless. Sword is basically dead at high level now
@@kami3449 Anyone can drop high numbers in quickplay. Would love to see you hit top ranks in world tour and do the same to good players, restore my faith in the sword
By this tier list, heavies should not be the best class in the game (i'd argue medium is), but from weapon viability, the heavies are so much below all the other classes.

Last season's lh1 stats was perfect. If it only received recoil buff it would've been soo much better for me
Don't worry, lights will still find something to complain about. I've seen people STILL complain about the winch claw, even though heavy has laughable weapons rn.
True lmao, the Patch note literally said "No gun for you, now use Winch to punch them with melee"
And yet people still complain 🤣
The V9S having such bad recoil animations is so annoying considering it's literally a hyper innovative competition pistol that specifically avoids recoil in the manner shown.
13:25 for light
20:49 for light/med
31:49 all classes
Thank you, cannot stand the coughing! :D
The thermal bore makes the sniper A tier for sure
new season is amazing so far thanks for the content
Hard disagree on Katanas > Shield and just shield being lower than CL-40 in general.
Shield allows you to run while blocking majority of shots, which makes you extremely hard to kill in front if you are chasing an enemy. Katanas just stall the fights with deflect, not even allowing you to run and in very rare scenarios will let you kill a light or maybe medium.
That's really sad that Ottr thinks the heavy's Grenade launcher is F Tier. Even though in the right hand's It's Potential S, I respect your opinion, as it is very hard to use in the hands of an unexperienced player.
Cl-40 feels like im playing soldier in tf2 so for that reason its s-tier
soldier? why not demo? since you know...he has a grenade luncher
Does anyone feel like dual katanas and the bow would’ve been far better if they swapped classes?
dual katana could be very OP in light but in medium bow could miss its evasive light skills
Dagger trickstab has left the chat
Cl40 aint even bad tho
grenade launcher got nerfed hard, the damage reduction hurts so bad
CL-40 was bad in high ranked in season 1 and 2, because it couldnt compete in dps output with fcar and ak. I was a CL-40 OTP that got to plat1, yet still performed better on the rare times that I play fcar. Now in season 3, the weapon got absolutely gutted. It takes an entire 1-2 shots more to elim anything. It basically reduced the output by 30-50%.
@kuratse205 I always found a lot of consistency with it and sniped so many people. That nerf does look like it hurts tho
I can't help but absolutely adore the dagger, running around with vanishing bomb, cloak, and recon nades is so fun.
3:20 odd nitpick but I find that I land headshots (especially with spray and burst weapons) in The Finals wayyyy more than other FPS titles. I do think balancing a weapon with like headshot consistency in mind is a lil silly, but curious to see if other people have a similar experience
Appreciate the uploads as always, thanks for helping this awesome game grow and improve! 🔥
If you strafe in a circle while shooting the double katanas they go down fast & you take little to no damage. The cone it deflects in is so small it's easy to strafe out of while hip firing. Been wrecking Katana boys with this.
You make me cry with how accurate this is. I'll catch you one day with my 50 damage a swing
MGL should be buffed and turned into a heavy special, if it actually had impact it'd be great to pull out at the start of a fight to cause chaos
30:10 when I encountered a whole team ...I just right clicked with my spear and eliminated the whole team
I've already seen many people say that the lh1 is overpowered so just consider that it may be nerfed soon before trying to main it!!
Nope don’t believe the hype lh isn’t as good as you think lh was my main for s2
@@Mrm-2102 Okay? Its still extremely good this season. And with embarks track record its not unlikely to be nerfed.
It has been heavily over buffed, I went 40-0 in a quick cash game in one of my first games with it, it's the go to pick for lights atm
@@Mrm-2102Yes it is. 3rd game of the season one of my teammates went 26-1 with it 😂
My opinion playing against it is that it's hipfire has spread and that is a big deal compared to the other top tier options.
Awesome! i been waiting for this video... thanks bro.
BRO. flamethrower is goated. Use it with the shield ability instead of winch. Spritz them once and let the fire do over time damage unless they are a heavy, get a good spray in and shield and let the fire cook em.
Its a noob trap
Refreshing to watch a chill youtuber/streamer for a game I like. Good commentary
when riot shielding, try putting up the shield between strikes, especially when they're using a shotgun, you can catch their rhythm with the shotgun and usually put up the shield when they shoot and hit them before the next shot
I was here when this channel was getting fucked by algorithm when you were playing Apex, so glad to see you flourish
Also if you use mines woth it is easy to detonate them with it
I hope you feel better soon ottr, I respect the grind brother💯
I’ve been playing a ton with the famas after the buffs and I’ve been loving it so much!
With the need to keep distance against heavies running the hook, yeah the famas feels nice to get good damage on them
I’ve been going insane in ranked with spear, can’t believe it’s F!
KS23 and winch claw together is insane. If you are fast (takes only a little bit of practice) you can shoot and quick melee a light before they get to act and combined with the 15 damage from the winch claw the combo fully kills them
Nah I still won't use KS as it's horrible both Close range and Long range
If they make it more accurate, it's probably become strong weapon but meh, even at blank point u can still miss if bullet not accurate lmao
Love how people like to complain “heavy is OP” but yet they don’t even have an S tier weapon. Medium class is busted and is much better at offense than most light builds.
Flame thrower is not S tier?, RPG is not S tier? + These take no skill to hit
Arguing that heavy isn't busted is clown behavior. I suck at this game, have barely over 1.0 K//D and Meta M60 carried me to Diamond no problem
I was a heavy sledge and goo main but the bow is so fun and the thermal bore allows some of the on the spot breaking I liked with the hammer
MGL user here (up to red skin now), if you know how to use it, it becomes very fun and good for area denial.
It's always good, but just in Tournament, u can't switch weapon and sometimes game bitching with Open map cashout
Also thanks God they Nerf APS to ground, game is more enjoyable after APS gone ngl
🗣Ottr guide drop LET'S GO 🔥🔥🔥
Loving the dual swords, the only time I’ve ever enjoyed a melee weapon in any game ever.
Still not great but might look wacky
i swear ottr was getting a blowy under the desk or sommat like he seems so out of it
I feel that you should take movement into account. Burst weapons or shotguns allow for movement between shots. Swords as well.
Only melee that beats me is the sledge hammer if timed right other then that dagger is on top of
New sledge is the glow up it definetly needed this season finally i can kill a target low on Hp without it auto targeting someone beside him
Lights are way to over powered this season pls fix embark
I mostly agree with this tier list EXCEPT heavy's ks-23 and flamethrower. I would swap them. Its really hard to aim with the ks and shoot damage and every shell counts
The Spear's Dance Macabre is so funny when it kills people
I wish they would optimise this game to run smoother on lower gpus.
Personally i found Famas as a amazing weapon for Light stacked games. You delete rats at range and also has a good enough hipfire to maul them upclose
How do u turn off hud?
11:20 buddy did 21 kills with throwing knifes and put them in B tier
He got 30 with the dagger during world tour, still not a great whepon
@@Wavedashnoir but lets be honest here the latest throwing knifes buff was too much theyre op now
I mean, i main those, and i have encountered people who think they are so op they play themselves, and i still own them, they are only good if you know what you are doing and even in that case the other weapons in the s tier are better, i agree with the fellow
I like how u shit talk a weapon but are popping off in the footage xD great vid!
Personally love the cloak + mp5 combo
I feel like you need to put more time into the riot shield. I've won so many terminal attack games by chasing down mp5 lights and they can't do shit when you run at them side ways so the shield passively blocks
I don’t know what he’s talking about cause I main bow and average 8 kills a game( usually in power shift
Weapon swapping is nerfed for sword. You now have to wait for the time of the initial lunge before you can lunge again even after weapon swapping, making it essentially useless. Sword is basically dead at high level now
Mmk
Thats what happens when you really on exploits, still easy to drop 20+ a game for me, skill issue i guess.
@@kami3449where’s your prove? Show me on rank
As a console player, the spear, flamethrower/grenade launchers and model are insane. Especially the spear and grenade launchers. The fcar is crazy as usual, lol.
I got a 14 player kilstreak with the spear, it’s not f tier, you need to know how to use it
I promise to you that if you were in that lobby with a Hammer or Flamethrower it would've been a 30 bomb
No. Your not in good lobbies if your getting 14 kills in a row with a spear 😂😂
Spear players start doing the tanjiro fire dance when they click the right button😂
@@Ori_fr you can out-damage the flamethrower and out range the sledgehammer
@@ChaseBoudreauPaperMachine they do say jack of all traits, Master of none. Its significantly less DPS than the Hammer while having slightly longer range. And its slightly more damage for less range/versatility than the flamethrower.
Edit: flamethrower
It’s good to see no one will use the flame thrower after that ranking, I’ll be the only flamethrower main out there
M60 is so fun this season
