imagining meeting someone at 13/14 years old and becoming friends when you learn you're both playing the violin at the same level, sharing the same cultural background and all that comes with it, being supportive instead of meanly competitive, growing up with the same experiences and dreams and direction in life, with different personalities syncing on the same wavelength, literally liking most of the same things, and not even fighting despite spending so much time together that most people in your shoes would have gouged each other's eyes out already. the planets must have aligned and all the violas were silent the moment you became friends not knowing in a decade or so you would be forming twoset violin and inspiring people to love for the first time or fall in love again with classical music, with the violin, and with you two and your awesome friendship, and in this essay i will

@@perrybrown4985 Not at all. I do essay based subjects and I write really quickly so I always finish my essays before the time and I have nothing to do for a good 20 minutes in every exam. It's not about needing to do something outside of the exam, it's about not sitting there doing nothing for ages since after you check yourself the second time (which doesn't take long) you have absolutely nothing to do.

Something I've noticed is that as I improve, I can practise more effectively. It still seems like quite a challenge but I realise that at best, Grade 8 is the end of being a beginner😬I joined a piano group and play for people when I get the opportunity, it really helps and to hell with the damn nerves!

Hullo! Referencing actually does really help for us theoretical researchers. It makes it a lot easier to index and search refs in other papers, and by making the formatting standard, it also makes it easier for us to edit and annotate our own papers too.
But I can understand that performance majors would find it weird that they have to worry about all that 😂

I just love the part, where they talk about first years trying to socialize. Because, honestly... It's always the same, no matter what you study. 😂 I studied social work, and honestly, by third semester I couldn't be bothered to talk to people more than I had to. 😂 You kind of grab one or two people in first year and hold on to them. And they kinda turn into the only people you talk to. 😂

Aria Ats in several different videos, they're purposely flirty with each other on camera. They do it on purpose knowing their fans ship them. They even know that we ship them. They haven't said anything about it. And in several Valentine's day videos, they were flirty with each other as satire. They had the shipping coming for them. Basically, with that being said I don't think they have a problem with it.

    • @ariaats2705
      @ariaats2705 5 ปีที่แล้ว +83

Inday Rin Yeah, you're right, it's just that sometimes I get the feeling that we take it too far and they don't always like it. And I wouldn't want them to grow cold and awkward with each other on camera by fear that if they don't we'll ship them even more (it's happened before with other pairs of celebrities that people shipped). I just hope that if it does become too much for them, they'll tell us so we can tone it down.

5:45 We called those masterclasses, and besides it being, like you said, a great performance opportunity, for those of us who were interested in teaching specifically, it was such a great opportunity. Listen to your peers play and give suggestions right in front of your teacher, where they can confirm whether or not your suggestions were valuable and made sense. So great to participate in for performing and great to participate in for teaching practice as well. A lot of the people in my studio hated getting up and performing and also were so hesitant to make any comments at all, which is their loss. That's pretty much the best thing I can recommend for forming confidence in your interpretative opinion.

Tiny, sound-proof rooms that you could barely fit a stand in that were always hot, because of the one obnoxiously bright light that was near your head, and always smelled vaguely of b.o. and mildew. There were always discarded things from other peoples' instruments and empty bags of chips in the corner (shout-out to the brave soul that was practicing while eating flaming hot cheetos all the time: I know that your instrument stayed getting dirty on the daily).

As a nonmusician watching this channel, I finally can relate to them about research papers and referencing things. There was one time during my senior high days when we were competing for regionals in our research project. Our teacher told us to change our APA format of referencing to Chicago format coz it's on the criteria, which is a lot harder, and so we had to change it quickly coz we still had to submit our papers we didn't have enough time. On the day of the competition, we were very shocked to see the referencing style of the other participants, it was not in the right format idk what that was but it was horrible. We literally just walked around their boards to see all of their formats but it was only us who did the Chicago format. We freaking worked hard on it but they didn't even mind and I believed even the panelists didn't even look at the referencing. We were so distressed, it was so rigged. Like we could have just rested our time that day we had to change our format if we didn't have to mind about that citations sht.

As a literature major, I may have actually freaked out hearing you rant about referencing. You know how frustrating it is to read an essay and want to find the work referenced...and have a bad freaking reference??? Especially if you're working on a research project? There are websites that will format the info for you. Word will format it for you. For the love of all things good and holy, references are important!
K, rant over. All said and done, replace 'practice' with 'study' and all the sudden these stories all sound really familiar. I guess university is university, whatever the degree, whatever the country.

Same. As a linguist, I hate when people don't reference correctly because then I have to do so much extra work to find their sources. Ahhh!!!

PSA for Uni kids!!! You can reference using Microsoft Word and it will automatically format it for you, according to the format you need :)
(Didn’t learn anything from referencing though, but picking the right phrase from the reference passage will help you identify what the paper is all about! Tips for studying 🤓)

There are a bunch of different websites, too, that will also format references for you.

Just stopping by to say, teachers have to address all kinds of students; different levels of preparation for university, different career goal, different ways of learning. Some teachers do get burned out - just fed up of students doing the same ridiculous things every year. We do try hard to teach the content of our class to every student in it.

I am a med student, first year - and i am very thankful to you guys for saying everything you did. Especially the part about "but I get nervous - well, that's the point". I have so much opportunity for a real med practice now (however everybody told me otherwise - on my first practice I did more than everybody could ever imagine, and that is just because I asked doctors for mentorship and was initiative). And the biggest thing that stops mme from going further now is fear, nervousness. You really changed my mindset just by this saying - that is THE POINT! Thank you.
