    Thank you for replying. I did build mine and I love it. It is on carpet and I don't need to mount it to the wall. I've seen others make a stand using utility shelves and I didn't like that look for me room. It reminded me of something I see in a garage. For anyone else thinking to doing this, the unit is well made and it isn't wobbling or leaning forward at all. It is very sturdy, unlike the Dreambox that I built and it came tumbling down the second day it was built. Thank you again Lenie for sharing this great idea.

    After several years of using Canon printers, mainly A3 size, I recently bought an Epson ET-8550. What a difference. High quality prints on just cheap photo paper immediately after setting up. I never managed this quality with the Canons and the cartridges quickly ran out due to the Canon forever carrying out print head cleaning, seemingly after every print! Despite printing a LOT of A3 colour prints on the Epson, the only tank that needs refilling is the grey, which I believe is used to get more nuanced colours. I will never buy another Canon printer, or any other cartridge-based ones

    Oh my goodness! I have been laboring over which printer to buy and you just hit all the high marks I have been considering. Think I'll be going with the 8550 after you clarified all the points of each printer. I could clearly see what you meant about the yellow color depth and shade differences and think you did an amazing job at letting us see that. Thanks so much for the help!

    Thanks so much I was considering the Epson 8550, Canon pixma pro 200, pixma prograf 1000 and the Epson but after deliberating will be buying the Epson 8550 even though the a2 size would have been a nice option with the prograf but I am scared about the ink costs and maintenance cleaning it does overtime,

    Love this tutorial. I have a Epson ecotank 2803 and I am looking for a wide format printer. I was looking into the Epson 1500 but have changed my mind since seeing your video. Also I am limited on space, what did you use to make your cabinet to hold all your devices?

    Amazing video! Can you please clear some doubts:
    How much time does each printer took to print this same photo?
    Was there pizza roller marks on the glossy paper from any of the 3 printers?
    Can these printers print on a heavy cardstock like 110lb or 300gsm?
    Thank you.

    Great video. How does the Canon print on cardstock? I actually bought this one to replace my Epson 7840 due to the expensive ink and inability to use 3rd party ink. I usually print digital papers on cardstock. I hope the quality is just as good.

    Hello, I don't speak English and I don't understand much of what you're saying but using Google Translate I want to ask you which of those 3 options is best for me, because I want it to print my art for sale in sizes of 12x18 inch and 13x19inch, I would print a lot, what suits me best from your experience? And an apology if something was not translated correctly, I hope you understand my question.

    Hello, thank you so much for the descriptions. Other people complain that the Epson 8550, used with thicker paper, leaves traces of the inner rollers. Does it happen to you? I’m very indecisive, but I don’t think I’m going to buy Canon, in the past I’ve only had problems, with this printer. Thank you very much and have a nice day 😊

    You are comparing a $199 printer with $600-700 printers, Wow! I'm so glad I got that Canon printer. I love it so much but I'm scared of the ink costs long term.

    • @leniealexisdesigns
      @leniealexisdesigns  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes the cost of ink over time will be expensive. The printers with the tanks cost more upfront.

      @@leniealexisdesigns To be fair, the entry level Epson ET-1810 or ET-2400 is also under 200USD. But it is more limited in color range as it has neither a photo black nor gray.

    • @leniealexisdesigns
      @leniealexisdesigns  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @joergsonnenberger6836 you're correct, but those printers don't print large format either.

      @@leniealexisdesigns Just saying that it would have been a more interesting equivalent in terms of line-up. If you do any amount of regular printing, I would stay the hell away of cartridge printers.

    that image you used is so bad for testing, there is like zero color variation for testing you would want a high-resolution photo with bright high lights and dark darks, also you can't say its not accurate to what it looked like on the screen is unless you have a very expensive editing monitor that has guaranteed perfect color matching for color correction

    cmon, a 9521 against the beast 8550? no chance xD the 8550 is nearly a professional printer for photos and the 9521 a home user thing. but ok, on this small stickers you can't see much difference

    • @leniealexisdesigns
      @leniealexisdesigns  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Comparison was based on pricing for the average crafter. Yes, you are right. The 8550 is an amazing printer, but the price may not be average for someone just starting out.
