HEY Nick, Hook Nose, Wright, let me know about your Purdy hate about intercetions!! Did you see any tonight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Your big mouth needs to eat crow tomorrow, but you will weasel your way out!
I’m a diehard chargers fan and it was a breathe of fresh air to win a hard fought game, didn’t have a team come back on us, didn’t lose a stupid way. Halftime adjustments, defense. God I love harbaugh
I'm not a real Chargers fan, but I liked Justin Herbert since his rookie season, and I respect Jim Harbaugh. You guys got a real shot at a superbowl now, over the next several years. Too bad it couldn't happen in San Diego!
I just watched the chargers make half time adjustments and go win a game instead of watching them find a new way to lose. I don’t remember the last time I could say that about the chargers
Jim just demonstrated how people consistently win in Life, be successful leaders and enjoy the process... by focusing on the positive aspects and acknowledging what one appreciates. He complimented 10 different people (including the star of the opposing team), gave credit by name to 6 others, and focused in detail on the positive aspects of 8 other subjects in this 10-minute interview.
As a Detroit Native who now lives in L.A., I’m very happy both the Chargers and Lions are now solid teams. I look forward to the future success that both teams will have!
@@commonsenseisntcommon1776 I’m glad you found it necessary to comment your displeasure of them moving from SD on my thread and not making your own thread about it. Thank you.
We have a real coach who will coach, guide, adjust without making excuses. NFL is hard, it takes tough people who prepare and don’t quit to succeed. We’re not perfect, but we finally have the right foundation.
On Crosby vs. Alt: Crosby didn't nine up opposite Alt on every play, but when he did Joe did not allow a sack. Pretty good for a rookie debut. What impressed me most about this game was the fact that the Chargers won the running game on both sides of the ball. They didn't allow a Raider running back100 yards. Heck, they didn't allow a hundred rushing yards, period. No rushing touchdowns and had several stops in short yardage situations. Offensively, the first half was tough going, but J.K. proved he was back when he broke two long runs and finally found the endzone. The Bolts had 176 yards rushing and showed they can run effectively with a lead in the 2nd half. I can hardly wait to see Herbert to take off on an RPO or use play-action off of a good running game. There's lots to work on, but overall a great first game for a new era of Chargers football.
Sorry bout it. Oregon fan over here. Y'all need another season or two to get the pipeline going again. One of the best coaches of all time was at your institution. That's special. Great dub last year brother.
@@fvw1187 We were done for the moment our walk-on quarterback got the starting spot. A walk-on, seriously! Meanwhile, our so-called super-athlete, dual-threat QB can’t throw to save his life. Great 1 on 1 interview with a likeable winning coach. Love it best Colin when only you are the only host. A superior NFL show host doesn't need semi cynical co hosts. ✅
The Raiders defense played just as good. The turning point in the game was when the Raiders were driving & Minshew threw the ball behind him which resulted in a fumble.
Herbert: 140 yards. Nuff said. All of Dobbins yardage came on two breakaway runs only; one when the defense was wore down late. He was held in check the entire game.
I was still in elementary school when I first watched the Chargers. I recorded a game on my dad's VHS. It was a Charger v Raider game, Fouts v Plunkett. That was the day I remember I was a fan.
I hate 'em too, but Harbaugh has a history with the Raiders and worked as the Raiders QB coach for two years before taking his first head coaching job at the University of San Diego. He had a lot of respect for Al Davis and obviously now for Max Crosby.
The difference between Colin and Dan Patrick is that at least Colin asks real thoughtful questions that might actually elicit a meaningful response from harbaugh, not just generic coach speak which is all that Dan Patrick mustered out of him
Colin is a classic "If I believe in you in you, I believe in you" guy. He's been calling for Jim to get this job and it's only fair that this interview happens.
As a niner fan I think coach would have eventually won in the bay. Good luck coach in every game except the ones against us. Who’s got it better than us? Nobody!
I'm happy for Jim getting another chance at the NFL..he is a good coach regardless what anybody says..seems like alot of players like him and follow him plus he a fun coach he not all serious sometimes he let his players be players.
The way this team is designed takes so much pressure off of Herbert. As this team gels it will only become more apparent how balanced they actually are. Going to be fun watching these guys mature as a unit. The chemistry is there.
Thank you Jim for making the Chargers relevant again. Don’t pull a Zac Taylor in week 2. I can’t wait for the week 4 matchup against the formidable Chiefs.
I love this guy so much. But I don’t know that you’re ever gonna get a straight answer with him. He’s always saying nice things about his guys, talking about how great they are, how great they did. He’ll talk about room for improvement very broadly. I’m really pumped for this year, and for the first time in a long time, I don’t feel like a sucker for it.
Jim Harbaugh is a winner wherever he has been and his only flaw that he doesn’t get along with his boss, other than that he makes miracle with any quarterback
This wasn't just any season opener. A less talented Raiders offense lit up this same Chargers defense in 2023 for 63 points. This game was a statement. Harbaugh bullied that team.
Folks, I was at the game and really frustrated by the way Jim Harbaugh used Justin Herbert. Justin has a great arm and Harbaugh just holds him back. Dink, dunk, etc. The Chargers were clearly a better team than the Raiders and it was awful to see the game so close in Q4. The worst part about the game was watching the plodding, career backup Gardner Minshew keep the Raiders close. The entire game was the cure for insomnia. Best thing about it was the amazing So Fi stadium. What an incredible facility! Footnote: Denver Broncos fan here.
Wish we snagged Jim during the SD era before the 49ers took him. He was in our backyard coming out of USD. Probably would have gotten a championship with Philly rib. Glad to have him now though
Jim only answered like 1 of 7 questions given to him from Colin. He’d be a successful politician. Literally talked around every point he was trying to make.
Run defense was really good and defense overall kept the Raiders from scoring. I have not seen the defense bail out the offense consistently in a long time
