Great series of comparisons! Thanks for going thru the effort!

Great video. Exactly what I expected: 12s are mid scooped and have a looser feel. The 10s have more mids, less bass and a snappier feel. Perfect for recording. I switched the WGS g12c in my Princeton back to a G10C, and can only conclude that Leo got it right. Again.

Interesting comparisons Greg, particularly that the more drive the more difference.
You've inspired me to compare more directly some of the speakers I use, particularly the Creamback 65 I have in a 1x12 and the 10" Creamback 45 I have in a practice amp.

I was surprised how close they were when clean. Especially in the Tweed style cabs. But even the Princeton and Deluxe cabs sounded pretty close, when not driven. I did wonder if some of the increase in midrange, was due to the shallower angle of the cone of the 10s?

They all sounded good to me. It would be nice to basically have any 2 of these for double tracking. a 10 with more mids and a more scooped 12 blended would be heaven I reckon.. Great work again Mr D..

Thanks for the testing! At the volumes at which you're driving the speakers, I preferred the 10"-ers every time! Curious how they'd compare in closed-back cabs, as I've just discovered I much prefer my 10" Greenback in a closed cab.

I had wondered that too. Unfortunately, I don't have any closed back cabs for 10s.
