Can't wait to see you all in Newport!!!!!
That drummer.. so good - made them all look good
This has a nice Steely Dan vibe to it.
Specially AJA
Sounds just like New Frontier from Fagen's Nightfly.
God Scofield's guitar sound is so distinctive. Immediate vibes of Steely Dan. Thanks for memories and making new ones.
Sco sounding so good 🔥
Magic happened here. 💯
This drummer is Killing Me! No 1 in my rotation!!!!!
DRUM is really swinging and Funkin HARD **** really great HI HATS work
Thanks for 5 minutes of happiness (from Sicily-Italy…. Come to us!)
Yeah...thats groovy👍👍
I like this formation👏
I keep coming back for more..WOW.
What a great band! And a real nice Hammond, even with Lesley :-) Love it! Such a groove, made me instantly smile and whip my feet 🙂
Keep on bringing such a good mood with your funky mucic and thanks a lot. If I where there, I would visit your concerts. Thanks a lot!
Lemar Carter goin' places. That's real tasty.
They re just amazing
With Scofield & MonoNeon…you guys are like a ‘proper’ supergroup!!! No longer a cover band!
Make some albums! 💿
😅
they did, and Scary Goldings plays only orginal songs
so good
Давно ускал эту группу. Благодаря бвсисту сразу узнал УРА!!!
Hahaha, so fun!
Fantastic!!!! Congratulations!!!!
wow!
Sounds a lot like Steve Gadd's 'Stuff' .. and that is good 😎
Wonderful!
so so good!!
Outstanding once again!
I eagerly look forward to this song dropping on Amazon Music.
Awesome, loved it!
4:15, John beginns his fantastic solo. Can someone tell me, how the b3 part works? How does he do that rhythm on the Hammond?
he is playing the black keys on left of keyboard while holding a chord on whites, they are drawbars presets. If you search for the studio version you can see clearly
❤
Swiss watch manufacturers use this drummer's timing to benchmark their movements
Great video and performance
Super awesome :)
Guitar solo and drum fill is so hot Jack be twerking at 4:10
Scofield is absolutely timeless... he's The Master...
Facts.
Yep.
I wish he could be my grandpa or a uncle that I now from my neighboor👍🏼
Now if mononeon would only cut in some killer vocals!
Lemar Carter 🔥
John! That was a little "Trey-esque" :-)
Any chance of coming to Australia?
OMG ! prime Sco...!
sounds like marble blast music :)
Lamar OMG.
This looks like something to talk about on Threads.
Does mono neon ever get hot?
Joyous, isn’t it?
Rainbow Road vibes.
Touring inn Europe with Sco and Mononeon?
vous etes comme si on avait greffé une âme a une montre suisse! it's as if a soul had been grafted onto a Swiss watch!
Darn that’s good….
Very Steely Dan!!!!!😊 ❤
better....
2:12 🥵🤩
such a good supergroup, but... how does MonoNeon cope with that heat?? I really wonder. He's literally dressed in full ski gear. In sessions, I can understand, but on stage it must be unbearable lol
He's too cool. They keep him insulated like that so the room doesn't ice up.
MonoNeon would benefit from Markbass' yellow cabinets! In fact they should make him mixed-fluo colors cabinets and heads!!
Good call! ✔️
🙏 Nice to here a Real B3 not a simulated one, new school players fail to realize B players cook with all the burners and the whole body. It’s not about digital jabs.it’s not just the fingers. The B3 sets the fire and hands it over for other ingredients in the cake👍. y’all oughta cover Jimmy McGriff’s Any Day Now😳
DONT LET TH-cam Mix YOU!
Who is playing on that Fender Champ 600 ? Actually I've never seen one on stage...
Which one is MonoNeon?
Really? The left handed bassist with head gear.
Amazing but poor John scofield is looking very old now but still playing fantastic
I didn't know snoop dog plays bass!🤣
+5.5DB LUFS Common guys. Get it together. I tired of bitching. Loudness wars are over. Look who you are playing with?
What a great assortment of players. All at the top of their game. Thanks to Mono i realize why my bass doesn't sound like his. Its the sock.
Definitely 😆
And you need to dress like you're hiking the Himalayas!
Wow! Exactly what I needed this morning. Thank you from Montréal.
Who unleashed Lemar? Holy cow.
Scofield fiery inspiration will do that.
@@daveedson32and mono baby!
He's only playing the form and supporting Scofield's solo. Energy matching Energy.
Lemar brought the power…and the energy. Nice overall tightness at the right and wrong times. 😎
Now THAT'S wtf I'm talkin' bout! Love you, Sco! 🎸🎶🎶🎶
Dywane Thomas is what I think Snoop would be like, if he'd chosen MDMA and not Ganja growing up.. 🤣`
Scofield and Goldings man!
Gotta give Mono credit for staying in the pocket. I know he’s got more chops than that but he held on to the groove!
agreed.
restraint IS chops :)
He threw down some spice but picked his spots...very mindful
anything with that drummer is tight! 💪🏻👊🏻😎
The drummer always gets me. What a crazy talent. Y'all are my favorite group right now, keep it going ❤
Smoother than ice cream on a hot mid-July day, funkier than Sasquatch booty....in mid-July....hahahahaha
What do you get when you put a clown, an archeologist, a dork, a few daytrader dads, and a character from Fresh Prince on the same stage? This gold.
Who's who?😂
This comment is platinum.
So reductive.
The studio version is slower which really let the hammond shine... But this version a great too... I mean, come on, great players... great tune.
Groovy!
These always remind me of The Beastie Boys album - The In Sound from Way Out
Now that was just amazing. Skills all next level.
The buildup in dynamics was so even and smooth. When they got to the middle of the guitar solo, it was cookin!
amazing solo by scofield!
Scofield plays one note and it feels like the heavens have opened up!
Amen! I got the same feeling when he started to play. So much soul!
Fully solid!
Damn Scofield and that drummer just pure magic there at the finish
Turn that bass up in the mix
I was here in the crowd. What a day it waaass!
lucky you!
With 2 guys like John Scofield &, it’s a hell of a backup!
This Groove is like taking a warm Bath in the middle winter
You all are amazing musicians! Very Cool! Many thanks for sharing this spectacular video! Liked and SUBBED!
Holy crap, Lemar is on fire!
Stupid question…I’m new to this group. Who’s Lemar? Lol
@@85tclower Lemar is the drummer. They always post the line-up in the description ;-)
Saw them yesterday, 7/6/23, at Newport Jazz Fest - Tal Wilkenfeld was on bass...EXCELLENT set!!
The band is killin it here
it runs... super Grouve !!
Never ever been a fan of Disco... this sounds more like Jazzzzzzzz. More, please. 😊
i'd describe it as funk more than jazz
this ain't no disco, it just grooves too hard for that and with extended harmony on the solos, jazz. Sco playin' all outside. busts your ears open....
I dont think "disco pills" refers to a genre dude 😆
@@hegemonycricket2182 you would be wrong there. This sound is very reminiscent... of disco.
@@robinmead5826so you are contradicting your original comment...cool, i guess. Perhaps you ate some disco pills since your original post and things are sounding a bit different now.
reminds me of 1973 "Tom Scott and the LA Express" with Roben Ford and JoniMitcell..
Sax fills more, instead of guitar fills..West coast Jazz..Both TomScot/LA Express and Scary Gliding are similar to me. Great players for. a a start !..Add some Steely Dan and al is fine,
💥💥💥
Feelin' groovy!
Would like to have watched this but the camera work is so silly it was impossible. I guess the director felt the music wasn’t interesting enough on its own so had to cut to a different shot every three seconds - including absurd drone angle - to make it all appear “exciting.”
Tom Scott and the LA Express. 1973-___west coast jazz.
ı came to see ninja turtle playing bass but i found more than that
Wooooowwww
Power
Come to Holland 🤩
1st time watch Snoop Dog playing Bass
sau geil!!!!!!! 👍👍👍
Morgen in Saarbrücken auch 👍👍☺
I think Mono has restless leg syndrome!
