I think I am having a mid-life crisis. I am missing all those beautiful songs I grew up with. I used to listen to this song, in the afternoon, when the wind was blowing and I was taking a nap in the balcony of our house. My young days were full of thee beautiful and meaningful music.
My dad loved this song. When I was young, I remember him playing this all the time that I memorized the whole song when I was six. My parents are divorced now, and I never get to see him again. My mother and I were the ones who initiated the divorce, though. He seems to have lost it and started to hurt my mom. I don't like him as much as I did before now. But I hope that wherever he is, he's doing okay. I still respect him, but I can never look up to him the way I did when I was young. Hearing this song makes me feel so nostalgic.
You do right by remembering your dad this way... However, don't feel bad about instigating the departure of a violent man... You and your mother deserve so much better than that.
Hi Nikolai Alyssa , I am sorry for your loss. I will say a prayer for him and you. I lost my mother, I know the hurt. it will take time, but you will get better. Prayers to you and for you now... Dear Jesus in heaven, please help Nikoli get over his or her loss. and let his or her grieving go away and just be left with happy memories. Amen
I first heard cascade music at my aunts house when she was listening to them, way back in the year 1979. And since then I fell in love with their music. Up to now cascade is still one of my favorite group singers. At that time they are only a rising star but already captured millions of hearts. But because of that tragic accident that took all their lives together at the same time they never made to the top, but for me they made it more than that because up to now they keep on capturing on millions of young ones heart. Thank you ksabond for bringing back their memories. May the good Lord bring them a nice place in heaven. Who knows maybe they keep on singing there too.
My grandma loves the cascades so does my mother they play old music every Sunday and hear this. It was really nostalgic since grandma has it as her own ringtone. It reminds me of beautiful green fields since I was a kid
Whenever i heard this song it makes me feel that im old and life is to short. But before that happens I'll make sure that I'm gonna show my families and friends that i love them so much and cherish them. Im 27 Btw
My dad forced me to sing this wonderful song for 40 hours a day until my voice box couldn’t handle it anymore and explode. Great memories, love this song❤
July 2018 :) I still remember the story attached to this song. How I love my 3rd yr high school English teacher who's very passionate in teaching us. :* I also love puff the magic dragons, and rhythm of the rain. #nostalgic
This classic song was based on the 1903 short story by O Henry....rumor has it that the songwriter got the idea from watching the 1952 film which told Several of Mr. O Henry's short stories, including "The Last Leaf".....just beautiful...
Growing up in America during the 1960s I never heard this song played then or later on oldies' stations. While in the Philippines, I heard this song on the radio...imagine that? I love it a lot...
The original flipside of "The Rhythm of the Rain" was "Let Me Be." "The Last leaf" was a follow up hit for the Cascades. The original flipside of "The Last Leaf" was "Shy Girl"
Great tune from 1963. I was a senior at Georgetown and this brings back a ton of fond memories.
this song got me through depression. It helped me fly away into the night. It never gave up on me. It never let me down. It never deserted me
Songs are loyal friends that way.
sweet 🥰
[ .......GODDAMNI- ].

I've always insanely loved "The Rhythm of the Rain" but I love this one just a bit more.
Hi Rodney!
I feel that way too.
Haven't heard this this 1974. Had it on the flip side of RHYTHM OF THE RAIN. 45 rpm
+alicein ChainsLS4 me too
alicein ChainsLS4 This was the follow up to Rhythm of the Rain. It might even have been a double A side with Shy Girl in 1963.
Perfect song for a November day.
Great memories of 'Sandi'
the sound of the blowing wind on the background awfully builds the scene and our imagination that something is happening to the tree in an open valley
Kung pkinggan natin ang kanilang background ng knilang awitin parang may hangin na sumasabay.Yan ang ikinagaganda ng knilang kanta.
Anyone from 2021? This is a masterpiece
