Igarashi threw Castlevania III's music similarities and Castlevania I's gameplay into this classic mode. This man is a blessed genius, I'm glad he got out of Konami while they did Hideo dirty. This game pays so much homage to his work in an original way, thank you Mr. Igarashi for giving us a Castlevania of your own. Thank you for Konami not trying to yeet this or else there would've been hell upon them :)

I would love to try that mode, but I only have the Switch version, and after the screen of Miriam looking towards the castle, it stays on the loading screen, and you have to close the game
the controls in this mode is effed up. especially the double jump (which is made that you have to press the opposite direction of what you want to jump). The creator of that jump deserves aids

Bloodstained is such a great value with the different modes. I think that overall it's a good mix between classic and metroidvania.

How to unlock this mode?
It's in Extra Modes. I'm pretty sure it's unlocked by default. If not, you may have to finish the game first.

It was a free DLC. You may have to unlock it in game though.
