Did you paint a white sprey first. Then the prime color? I want to paint my bike too. and my bike is white. So i bpught a blue spray can. Should i buy a white color and i should paint white then blue?
I just painted it with a primer, I’d always recommend using a primer…but if your frame is white and you’re using a blue…then a good sand should be ok. Depends if you want a professional finish.
I’d recommend spray.bike it’s thicker, dries quicker, less chance to run and not that much more expensive. You can use cheap paint but it isn’t as good
I start with a 400 and then work my way up to finer…ending with 1200. I don’t strip the paint all the way off just smooth and even it. Really tough paint you’ll need paint stripper.
paint wont stick (especially if the existing paint is glossy), and you'll see through. you need to sand, prime, paint, and add a topcoat, glossy will look better. Does it suck as a process? Yes. You also have to remove all the components and mask the holes because you dont want paint in the wrong places.
Yes, sand as much as possible. The more time spent sanding the better the paint goes on. Make sure you give it a good wipe too, alcohol works…get rid of oily finger prints too.
What paint did you use? And how did it hold up? I’ve repainted my bike 3 times now with different paints and methods but it never is very scratch resistant
you need a topcoat on top of the paint. I've done mine like that. it is scratch resistant, but not professional. the whole thing cost me 30 bucks though, not hundreds, so i'm happy enough. Unless you stare at it up-close, it looks good.
@@DaveNoakes lol yes, and I'm glad but what about long sleeves and gloves? Only asking cause once I was spray painting n didn't know we supposed to have that stuff on.. had a headache that night took me a while to get back to it. All the chemicals n stuff get on the skin 😬
You do realise I’m spraying outside right? I’m not painting in a booth with a compressor and mixed paint. This is a rattle can in the garden, it’s fine mate.
So bright you can see it from space, proper old school colours.

I love what you’ve done with the garden
😂 the overgrown need to cut the grass, sort the flowerbeds and trim the hedges look? It’s taken a lot of work! Thanks 🙏🏽
The garden is ugly. Look at the bike 😮
@@LilXancheX your language is that straightforward huh
Interesting choice in colors

Any advice for painting a bike with a spray can for the first time?
Make sure you give it a good sand and use good paint

Special type of paint by spray.bike
How much time did you spent to remove the paint
Not as long as I should have 😂
Hello can i use normal paint ? Or it have to be special?

What brand of the spray paint you used
It’s by spray.bike
Whats a good color for primer to paint my frame blue 😊😊
Most primers are a light grey colour, you can paint any colour over it.
Loooks sick 🔥🔥🔥
🙏🏽🙏🏽
What happens if you don’t sand your bike at all and spray paint it?

The paint won’t stick properly.
Do I need to sand it before I pre coat

Whats the name of the spray that makes it white
It’s a primer by spray.bike
👌nice retro colour👍😉
Thank you
How much do u charge to paint
Haha I’d do it for free if you supplied the paint.
bro I do paint without primer but when I finish if I touch the paint with little force the paint cracks and falls
This was a brand new frame so it was in pretty good condition after a good sand, I dont usually paint without a clear but it worked well with this.
Bro which paint you use??
Paint is from Spray.bike 👌🏼
@@DaveNoakes okay thanks bro appreciate it
@@realstreetselfdefence8165 anytime, really rare the paint…dries fast, easy to use, if I can do this anyone can 😂
@@DaveNoakes thanks
@@realstreetselfdefence8165 you’re welcome
I want to do this but I won’t know how to reassemble the bike back to the way it was 😂
That’s definitely the tricky part
Record yourself disassemble the bike then reverse the video

I use Spray bike paint, amazing stuff! Just make sure you fully let it dry and it won’t scratch easy.

Beautiful but the bike falling made me cringe 😂😂❤
Thank you! It made my heart stop too!
I always find sanding a gloss bike is the worst.
The imperfections just show so easily!
Hm po magpa repaint
😂?
Protective gear next time please
What protective gear? I’m wearing a mask.

You should be wearing a better mask when spraying
