You are gonna hear so many bad things about El Salvador because of the gangs, but everything has changed, plus as many places in the world.... if you are not part of that environment ... you’ll be okay. Remember .....there’s more good people than bad. Enjoy your stay and go to the beaches. I highly recommend you “El Puerto de La Libertad” , you’ll have fresh seafood. Please!! Try a ceviche.

Thank you for taking time to talk about my country El Salvador. We love tourists. As any other Country we have bad areas but there are lot of places that you can enjoy. Visit El Impocible Park, Garita Palmera, La Palma, Atiquizaya, El Puerto La Libertad. El Cerro Verde... etc. Y mi casa es su casa!

I live in Virginia and the humidity is worst than in El Salvador. Regarding the crime, I know that I don't go to certain neighborhoods at night in Virginia. I don't know where are you from but I think is the same where you come from

The national bird Torogoz is Turquois-browed Motmot in English (Eumomota superciliosa cientific name) and the brown ones that you mention might be "zanates" or Great-tailed Grackles (Quiscalus mexicanus) which are so abundant here in El Salvador. Things are changing little by little down here, it is not that dangerous anymore and I hope that trend keeps happening from now on. I hope you come back one day. Kind regards.
