- We are in upstate New York and we are investigating the Shanley Hotel! The hotel opened in the mid 1800s.. Napanoch was a nice vacation destination from those attempting to escape the hustle & bustle of the larger cities. Due to the convenience of the railroad, many a traveler came to rest his head. along the years deaths happened and even a fire broke out in the hotel..

Yes, there's a possibility that they rigged up the equipments because with the flashlight at 32:05,the girl fixed the flashlight and then it turned on after that....so yeah maybe they rigged it up,maybe not, who knows..
@@althealegaspi2268 yeah tbh i trust josh and his crew. But some of the people they work with are often kinda untrustworthy. The only people i trust is the conjuring house guys.
Same thoughts here, Josh and his buddy are legit but the owner and the 1st woman seems suspicious, specially with that Light box around 18mins of the video as it was next to a closed door where someone on the other side might making it active. The ghostbox responses sounds like more of a human as it was really clear and so responsive. The flashlight might get triggered to turn on and off via wireless. Everything for me looks staged by the owner and the lady, maybe for promotional.

That talk box was debunked many years ago on another youtube channel. The video I saw showed them prerecording voices with that same echo sound. So the investigator knew what questions to ask, so the talk box would seem like it responded. Also, when they saw the light and shadow in that room. Someone is definitely in there messing with them.
So what about the flashlight going on and off on command? Multiple times too.
@@charlalar14 I'm only discussing the talk box. I've seen it debunked many years ago because the guy said he channeled Michael Jackson but all he did was take old audio clips of Michael and edit them together to "answer" his questions. I genuinely believe the guys in the video are super hyped and believing the shadow they saw but that woman you can tell its all for show, for her. You can tell she's kind of pretending to be excited when they saw the shadow. Just my opinion

I really enjoy watching haunted videos like this. but I don't know why, when there's too much activity going on I started to become skeptic if everything is real, that it isn't set up (like in this hotel). But I believe Josh when he said like someone was touching him at the bedroom. he's one of the honest youtubers when it comes to paranormal stuffs. I just don't trust the woman that much.

It's actually pretty common for these places to set these up to increase their popularity otherwise people won't be interested. But as long as they just maintain these places, I am fine with whatever they do to entertain those who like to believe in this stuff.
It sounds to me that Seth is a beacon that attracts the ghosts. Every time you go somewhere they are saying Seths name and trying to attach themselves to him. I still believe he's sensitive to ghosts and they can feel that as well.

He’s an empath with sensitive energy. So they are indeed attracted to his aura and all. Also, he’s a distant cousin to Lizzie, and in an older video a ghost mentioned Borden, which meaning she probably hasn’t passed and is lingering with him. Also another thing somebody had mentioned about why ghosts are attracted to him because of an entity that’s attached to him. Could be her.

It seemed to me that when she touched the back of her phone ( the black panel) the torch would go on or off....you can see this when she is sat outside Anna's room, the torch was on, she took her finger off the black panel and the torch turned off....very suspish!

Everyone laughing and talking and being loud took the vibe away for me, it was just too much. And I’m a bit skeptical of what the managers said and did, I’m not sure how much of what you saw and heard was real. Almost every time something happened one of the ladies was there, they are there all the time and know how to manipulate things. But overall this was entertaining!
We kept them with us because we been getting great stuff she actually wanted to leave and just relax but the vibe was to good and told her to stay .

This seems like a hoax. Spirit boxes pick up frequencies, so if someone transmits on a frequency that matches, you here what seems like spirits. In my opinion the team got played.
Starting with the stories in the beginning to build everyone's energy levels to believe in what you think your experiencing. ( power of sugestion) flashlights , rem pods and all the gagitry the owner provided are props set up internaly to respond and activate via some type of signal and heres the clincher. As soon as money was suggested before entering the girls room, it became very evident that this was all a well rehearsed show to play on whome ever wants to believe. Nextime bring your own equipment , insist on it.

Josh, you are the GOAT. Seriously, I love your channel but she is completely playing you guys. You made reference to other "Ghost Hunter" channels on TV being places for 3 days and don't capture anything close to what you guys did. Do you think that is a coincidence?
The interview is paced and guided on her terms. She asks all the questions in a clear and scripted order and the voices respond almost instantly and directly. Why do you think she tells you what questions to ask? Why do you think she is using her devices? I work as a software engineer and build electronics as a hobby (Arduino , Raspberry PI etc.) It's pretty clear to me she as a microphone on her/or in each room (could be a cell phone in her pocket too) and someone in another room is listening in on the conversation. Guarantee you that all of those devices are modified and have radio transceivers in them and can be controlled on demand based on the script and or the things you are saying in the room. Since the person in the other room is listening in and likely has a sound board and the ability to control all of those devices. She has a script/story clearly defined for each room and a corresponding set of audio clips on the sound board.
So the real question is why would she go to all these lengths to hoax something like this? Because this is a business. Just go to their website and that's all you need to see to understand this. The hype generated by videos just like this drives a ton a revenue and people to the hotel. I am sure that the hotel no doubt has a very dark and interesting past, but it's the foundation of the experience and the narrative she has built this business around.

She would stop touching her phone, nothing would be said, she would start touching her phone, and a response would come out only to her specific questions… they over did it, i had interest in this place from other videos but this video made me loose interest.

That was absolutely insane guys! That’s the most paranormal activity I’ve ever viewed by a team that’s gone into a place where the energy is that intense. That was definitely one for the books right there. Poor ole Seth, that dude got an over whelming surge of paranormal activity. At one point, Anna called him unintelligible. I was like you guys didn’t hear that, I believe the dude that haunts the place called him that or one of the kids running around did. That was crazy, the Shanty Hotel is definitely 100% haunted! I still don't because roughly half of this equipment are essentially toys made precisely to work this way (ghost boxes or those tuned flashlights for instance) and the other half is simply so sensitive that it's bound to get triggered by natural phenomena; house settling, weathering, cars passing by plus these days, every place is just saturated in radiation and various electromagnetic fields -- either natural ones from the Earth or the man made -- wifi, LTE, 5G mmV...etc.
It is fun to watch it tho and suspend disbelief.

Finally someone realizes that Seth is highly likely to be an empath! I'm a highly sensitive empath so I can feel the bad energy just standing in front of a building or room. With places that haunted the energy can be overwhelming and cause nausea, sweating, anxiety, etc.

This video alone is better than a lot of the ghost adventures videos. This place definitely has a lot of activity because there was a lot of sorrow and death at that place. This was a very good ghost video, the best one I've seen so far on this platform. Can't wait to see pt. 2 😍
Do you not think that alot of this is set up because they recieved all this ‘evidence’ in 3 hours. What makes me suspicious is the fact the owners used their own equipment and what a way to advertise your hotel to people interested in the paranormal is by having alot of things happen. Plus seeing alot of shows using a spirit box i’ve never heard voices this clear which makes me think the owners have the equipment rigged. This is no dig at Josh he does a great job but these owners are very sketchy

How did you come across this place?? We rented this place out like 6 years ago for my sisters Sweet 16 it was so much fun!! So happy you went there lol the brothel scared me the most and I remember smelling perfume in the hallway by one of the made up rooms upstairs. I also felt like I was touched while laying on one of the bed. Fun place!! Sending my condolences to Sal & his family. He used to own it and passed soon after our visit.

Loving it already... I absolutely dig Josh's beyond the dark since he started... It's so cool to see the disbelieve in his face when spirits responds. I'm not sure if Seth is an empath cause we empaths usually feel the emotions of people and spirits. He on the other hand might be a sensitive and can sense or get affected by spirit activities due to perhaps them feeding of off Seth. Which means he needs protections. Carry an obsidian stone or black tourmaline stone with you at all times, Seth. It will help to protect you. You guys can actually bring a quartz crystal for the spirits to use to take energy from (of course it needs to be a little big bigger like your palm size perhaps). But if you do, make sure to learn how to restore the energy back.. A quick crystal cleansing search on TH-cam should be good to help. Sage or Palo Santo (especially Palo santo) can help cleanse any negative energies. It's always good to bring that along so it cleanses you off from any attachments.

I have a feeling that the owners of the equipment rigged it a little. The response time and reactions of the ghosts are a bit too clear and quick to really be trust worthy and the equipment is theirs
