Lyrics:
Oh, do you remember
When we were young?
We just had fun
Pedal to the metal, shine into the steel
Sitting up front, Elivisi by the wheel
Putting out of Island Bay, weather looking fine
Flick the switch, needle twitch, FM to the dial
Buddy Toledo singing to the songs
Watching all the P’s and Q’s, nothing can go wrong
Dino Valentino and his lady, flashes cash as the deals go by
So good to be alive, right on, right on
Oh, do you remember
When we were young?
We just had fun
Pieces to the puzzle, music is the word
Franko’s on the show, flying out the bird
Somersaults and figure eights, breaking all the rules
Pushing all the pushers, The King of the New School
Buddy Toledo fronting on the stage
Pacifies the masses with a smile and a wave
Dino Valentino and his lady counts the cash as deal goes by
So good to be alive, right on, right on
Oh, do you remember
When we were young?
We just had fun
Oh, do you remember
When we were young?
We just had fun
Oh, do you remember
When we were young?
We just had fun
Oh, do you remember
When we were young?
We just had fun
Oh, do you remember
When we were young?
We just had fun
his face says "leave me alone" but the music has a completely opposite vibe
ha ha I have the same kind of face but am actually light hearted and like to joke but people probably think I am an assh***
dino radja

He gives me the vibe if a bar tender that wont serve me.

I was 23, the year was 1995… bought the CD here in Canada. It’s 2024 now, and in a blink of an eye, I’m now 51 years old… “oh do you remember we were young and just having fun?”
And now I have tears streaming down my face as I write this. I miss those days, the music, the fun… it was a different world.
hang in there Rick and embrace today
The fun ain't over yet brother! It's just getting started.
I will get the views to 1M by the time I die... Best thing to ever come out of NZ and thats from a proud Aussie...RIP March 2021 update
279k+ Come on Right On
Your not in it alone. These were my thoughts exactly this morning.
Maori dreams come true

A very unique, upbeat and groovy sound. OMC were an underrated New Zealand group and deserved more attention in Australia on tracks such as this one.
Agree. Like the upbeat feeling it gives you. You forgot to mention they deserved more attention everywhere. I'm from the States and remember them from the 90's and decided to dig on their old music b/c I figured they had to have made more good music than I remember. I ended up landing on this gem. Great stuff.
So sad to learn that He passed away,RIP.
RIP Pauly! This man was a legend. Btw, I think this song was a little more badass than How Bizarre. Right On!
loved 'how bizarre' so much for so long, really warmed my heart to look more into this band to see they really were a beautiful and unique force of music, tragedy what happened to them. Thank you OMC for some really amazing music, and I haven't even heard all of it. I look forward to doing so!
Good comment.... "Right On" !!
Man, the world would be a lot better with Pauly in it.
uplifting slice of polynesian soul with great harmonies.
My God, this guy reeked of positive vibes.(In his music, I don't know much outside of it)
He should have made it in the States. I am glad New Zealand appreciated him, unfortunately way more than we did.. >:(
I'm in the states and I loved OMC. Even covered their Tempe (AZ) show at Gibson's for MTV2's website.
RIP the two members of OMC
Phil Fuemana (January 6, 1964 - February 28, 2005), aged 41
Pauly Fuemana (February 8, 1969 - January 31, 2010), aged 40
You both will always be remembered as legends.
SO GOOD TO BE ALIVE, RIGHT ON.
Best lyric's ever
Right on.
This guy's was really cool would have love to party with him
No he wasn’t. He was a very violent substance abuser that got lucky and made a 1 hit wonder 15 years ago.
@@DBIIIStudios so people who have an addiction to drugs can’t be nice or something is that it
@@DBIIIStudios 15 years ago? More like 25.
@@DBIIIStudios Sex, drugs and rock and roll is actually a thing. Almost all the greats have been there, done that.
How bizarre me to💁♀️
Just heard 'How Bizarre' again and decided to look up the OMC story. How sad, man. RIP.
R.I.P Pauly and Phil. I think this song is better than "How Bizzare", which was a good song too.
Your opinion is the same as mine.
Don't forget their song Land Of Plenty
I dont know about that one Taylor. He uses the same flow from how bizarre on this though. Very similar songs. How Bizarre wins just for literally how bizarre the lyrics are. lol
This was my fave off the cassette
Like I said on another post, I did not discover this music until about a year ago. I guess getting old has taken its toll with respect to not paying attention. This is dynamite.
“Pacify the masses
With a smile and a wave”
Some of these lyrics are genius
"Smile and wave boys, smile and wave. "
Skipper the Penguin
Madagascar
This song deserves more listens.
I was born in '88 and I can remember my mom getting this CD in an order she got from Columbia House Record Company back in '96 with about 20 other CD's. I remember listening to this song "How Bizarre" and "On The Run" all the time... Good times when I was young, playing my SNES and listening to this at the same time.
Your Mom has good taste.😂
only video where Pauly Fuemana Smiled he had to be happy with these great songs coming out
Why Pauly Fuemana No Smille?
Still my favorite album of all time...by a long shot. We miss you, Pauly.
this is a very cool song.,.,just makes ya think of the bbq at the beach.,the 6 pack.,the steak and prawns.,the acoustic guitar and a bunch of mates and a lot of noise.,.,.,.,.,
And no ozzies around great day LOL
The videography was phenomenal too. Thanks for timeless music.
played this album A LOT...cool cool guy....very sad...he had elegance,,,very few have....
I loved OMC from the time they first came out with "How Bizarre", so I bought the album which I still have. The album is an excellent mix of styles which is why I love it so much to this day at age 67, but for me, this song caps them all. Western pop and Polynesian themes mixed together is pure genius.
"Right On"!
Man, I love good times and Polynesian steel guitars! This song gives me that lump of happiness you feel sometimes.
I miss this kind of connection with people nowadays. It looks so natural. Pauly and Sina were beauties
That album and it's release were underrated because of the immense popularity of "How Bizaar" as a radio hit. It basically got played out here. I read in New Zealand they did pretty well so that's a bit comforting. Just sucks they didn't stay together long enough to make more music and technically ended up breaking up over money. I know Pauly kept the band name. Then with Pauly's passing after the fact that was just sad times.
This has always been my favorite OMC song. Its so damn catchy.
Great song - just can't stop listening
May I respectfully ask how he passed? ... I got "How bizarre" stuck in my head so I came here to exorcise it ... saw this track and decided to listen ... though I'm most sad to hear he is no longer with us ... I think its the Island music inherent in my life as a Parrot head that makes it so familiar to me.
Im pretty sure he had some kind of cancer.,was in samoa when I read about it in the paper.,the Polynesian Hendrix.,playing with all sorts of shit.,.,.,sweet as.,.,
"Pauly Fuemana died following a protracted battle with chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy, ultimately succumbing to respiratory failure[8] at North Shore Hospital, North Shore City, on 31 January 2010."
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pauly_Fuemana
thank you all.
netiaCapeTown, Pauly Fuemana was the lead singer of OMC. He was from New Zealand. He was of half-Niuean and half-Māori descent. Thanks for asking.
If cellphones & social media like TH-cam were as popular back then as now here in 2021 OMC would have became so much bigger.
I like the pretty asian girl
a great sound , sadly missed
" oohhh...do you remember ...when we were young ...we just'en fun ! "
This music is soooo wholesome and good! I love this. It is fun to listen to, to sing along with and simply feel good about.
Pauly moved on to a more enlightened planet.
I Love u so much Pauly Fuemana you are my best singer pop music from New 🇳🇿 Zeland see you one day Love from Portugal 🇵🇹
This album was the shit.
RIP Pauly.
I want to jump into this song and party. So good to be alive right on ✌

OMC didn't get the kudos they deserve. I'm loving every track I am hearing. Pauly, you left us too soon. RIP.
Such a loss. So Sad
Love that steel guitar.
I love Zina who sits behind him. She's so cute!
Zina say's Right On.
Makin' moves and startin' grooves before they knew we were gone!?
Jumped into the Chevy, headed for big lights, wanna know the rest? Hey! Buy the rights!
She sure is.
embrace our countries, there still beautiful , there our hidden gems of the Pacific :)
Weird they only made one cd. I really like their music.
OMC Right On is my unheard favorite song
Anybody here July 2019?, definitely my favorite OMC song, such a great song, brings many memories, I remember when I was 14 years old in Havana cuba playing drum to this song, I’m 32 now, this song makes me remember when I was young!, thanks for the music!!!!!
Coolest song! RIP Pauly.
Does anyone have full lyrics for this masterpiece? I'm willing to cover it and spread Pauly's heritage as far as i can.
This song is so bare yet enormously touching.
The fact that it's his own epitaph is utterly heartbreaking.
RIP Pauly Fuemana, you're much loved in my tiny Moscow suburb and all over the world
I only just now found out about them and enjoying their music and then I find out they're dead.
And at such a young age as well :(
Wow. Such a great sound. Incredibly unique.
good music 90's.
Still Luvin OMC in 2021 How Bizarre ... LOL :)
I’m listening to OMC Right On first day of January 2024 New Year’s Day! Happy New Year’s!!!

He was so handsome R.I.P. King
Can't believe it took me 34 years to find other songs by OMC besides How Bizarre. Truly amazing music!
This band is not even 30 yrs old lol. Came out in the mid 90s.
So sweet it brings tears to my eyes. Love it.
Fabulous song.
Such a positive festive atmosphere with friends, beautiful weather and otherworldly scenery. Looked to be an amazing day followed by an even better evening sitting by the fire and enjoying fellowship. I hope I'm right. Rip pauly; you went too soon but you're not struggling anymore. The world misses your kind spirit.
I absolutely adore OMC and this happy happy loving song! Even more because both brothers died so young of a rare disease. What I wouldnt give to have those days back again. Kids today have no fun at all, and are afraid to live life.

@FlamingQueen666 Obviously not if he only had a one hit wonder! What made you come here and write something like that, do you have an unhappy life?
Paul died is very sad
When you’re about to whack someone and suddenly everywhere you go reminds you of the good ol days.
So handsome 😍

RIP Pauly and Phil. You made the best songs
A song from my Highschool graduation! I am turning 44 this year!
Dear Lord what an absolutely beautiful piece of art this is !
I love the guitar rhythm. Does anyone know how to play the opening change of chords?
those eyes man
I had this song on a CD I got from Chef Boyardee when I was like 12. It was always funny because I knew this song more than How Bizarre. Driving to this song on a beautiful day with the windows down is so uplifting.
WHAT W´SEE THE BOYS IN THEIR HOMES ...
WHAT W´BE THE OLD TREES,
NOW THAT W´HAVE THE FOLLOWING
If you go.
LAND OF THE ANCESTORS, Anointed.
NATURE OF THE PEOPLE, REMEMBERED.
rivers OF BRIGHT waters, she-loveds.
AROMA AIR HOME SearchEDS.
NIGHT OF STARS POPULATEDS ...
WITH ONE MORE.
I don't understand how "How Bizarre" was No.1 in the U.S. yet this song didn't even make it past No.5 in the N.Z. charts.
Right?
+d'Zire Musik cause its not a good song
Solomon Doors wrong

First time this aired I thought they were mericans until they aired the music video. Lol

Their BEST song! Love it.
