    This man explains why pro wrestling is so amazing and how complex each character actually is. Bravo!

    This is really great story....Like him, we all fight our own battles, silently, within ourselves only to better than yesterday !!!

    It seems like TED was excpecying him to use the tv more, based on how frequently it panned out so the black screen was in the shot. Great TED talk though!

      Idk, the speaker pointed to it at times so maybe he did use it but the screen wasn't working properly.

    Why is the top comment a hate comment? It was a good speech and it got my thoughts rolling. Sure its not meant for everyone but for some college kid with self esteem issues this got me thinking.

    AGAIN?
    What's with the TED talks consisting of one person talking about their personal experiences? Please go back to "ideas worth spreading" and bring state of the art research to the masses.

    • @Infamosucarlos10
      @Infamosucarlos10 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Monkeyheadtpc probably because said people have not yet finished with their work or idea.

    • @user-us5lw7mt2v
      @user-us5lw7mt2v 6 ปีที่แล้ว +23

      Did you see the video? He uses a personal experience to express the idea.

    • @Monkeyheadtpc
      @Monkeyheadtpc 6 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Exactly! And this is highly dangerous, since the environment he lived in not necessarily has to do with his success. This is just an anecdote from some person infering an underlying principle. But he comes from a biased subset, since he already is successful.
      This is just like as if Bill Gates would promote dropping out of college. Surely worked for him, but only as a consequence of him already being smart.
      In the end, I can't even say that what he argues is wrong or that it wouldn't work for others. But there is also no argument that it'll work for anyone that would otherwise be unsuccessful.

      @eclipse5393 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      TED is becoming nothing more than a brand for them to sell their stage. It's disappointing how they dropped everything they stood for. If you read their website about how they select speakers, none of it is true anymore. TED sold out and abandoned its original values.

    • @cjaquilino
      @cjaquilino 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Honestly, TED has always been a bit facetious. And that's not a knock. It's something that just comes with the territory of being pop intellectualism.
