I submit that it's people like you and this new station that are microcosm of what is wrong with this world because you're not even aware of how this and every other mainstream media outlet manufacturers consent for you everyday of your life. The way they caught that shark it seems sure seemed to me to look like they knew what the hell they're doing and could do that if they wanted to. And also have you noticed the economy lately and the wages and the fact that there's a lot of people that can't feed their families and can't afford a roof over their heads? So if they have skills like that they damn well very well could be hunting. When I was a kid we got meat on the table we speared slow moving animals like armadillo and gopher turtles to have a little meat once in awhile instead of eggs three times a day from our chickens out back. Back then if I had we went to the beach back then if I had that skill but a damn sure I was too small and young but but I better believe we had a damn sure jerked a shark out of the water by the tail and butchered that son of a b**** and ate it. Yeah you know somehow that these guys didn't. Even though they're showing skills that neither you are nor I have for catching food but you know that they didn't use it for food. But I'm the crazy person. So don't be it I'd rather be a crazy person than I know it all. Because you know what the stupidest people I ever meet are the ones that think they know everything. I fish. I also dispatch a fish as quickly as possible. When it's a large fish, there is some exuberance. Y'all complaining about how fishermen do it but you eat pork, chicken, beef or fish...go ahead and take a look at some slaughterhouse videos before you go to the grocery store next time. Then realize you are simply eating something that had no fighting chance at all you sanctimonious, pious dill weeds.

If someone goes fishing and they catch something legal in species and size, they have every right to eat it if they want, whether agreeable with your pallet or not.

@@831oaklandraider4 no, I don't eat carp or lizardfish or bat rays or large/smallmouth bass...probably a couple dozen other species I've landed. There are fish I do eat, 99% are catch and release. Where the hell did carp come from? Never mentioned that.

The biggest tragedy here is the crappy news station that does such a half-ass job of all stories so that we don't even know why the two men harvest kill that shark. Because there could be reasons laudable or honorable reasons to have done that for instance if they're feeding their family with it. And I will note that they killed it immediately they didn't torture it. It looked like to me that they were hunting food in a very clever way. I mean who who among Us City dwellers you never hunted in their lives whatever dare to grab a shark by the tail and pull it out of the water? You know or has the skills to do such a thing? And then I meant it has the earmarks of that's what they were doing they were hunting and I don't have any problem with people or anybody killing lower animals for the purpose of eating them because that's the circle of life and any bleeding heart vegan that yells at everybody because they eat meat is a snowflake. On the other hand if they killed it because they're going to get money at a taxidermy shop for it to hang on some rich guys wall or their own I do not condone that. The only time I condone hunting or killing of another living being is to use it to sustain oneself. It's even more honorable to do that and feed one's family along in addition to oneself and this lousy news station never bothered to ask those guys interview these those guys or an ascertain whether that was what they were doing or not. So the biggest culprit here is neither the woman nor the gentleman but is the press for doing such a crappy job of journalism 24/7 365 so that we're all left all of us are left with half the story so that we can jump to false conclusions probably and without adequate information because nobody at any of the news outlets hardly ever do their job properly. And I know a little bit about that job because I have a degree in journalism and working the business. There is hardly the mainstream media doesn't even do journalism anymore if it ever did they're propaganda machines their opinion shapers. In in the words of Noam Chomsky and his co-author their manufacturers of consent. Chomsky and his co-author did not coin that term but they titled their very famous book that and how they in which they described how the mass media manufacturers consent for the oligarchy. And that's why this news story sucks because this new station like all mainstream media are manufacturers of consent.
