RL004 is ryde’s spare rear loader and the last green machine they have in that yard, today it was doing bulk garbage in West Ryde, North Ryde and Putney. This truck has definitely done its time and i’m glad that i got a good video of it before we say goodbye to it. The parramatta contract is ending soon so they will probably get some of their mercs to replace RL004 and maybe a couple of the other rear loaders.
Behind the wheel we have one of the longest serving ryde driver jeff, he used to drive this truck and RL006 as seen in aussie garbos “the best cleanup ever” video from 14 years ago. TJ and mitch were the offsiders so yeah this truck had a great crew on.
The first few clips were over in west ryde at around 8:15am, after smashing out those few jobs there i rode over to putney hill which is where the air horn was being blasted and and the pedal was pushed to the floor haha. This truck got a new engine about a year or 2 ago and it still sounds loud as, what a beast this truck was.

Excellent rear load action, but at #8:56, there was an escapee in the form of a swiftly running rat. For an old girl, this truck is fast in forward and reverse gears. I really enjoyed this video and the well written and informative description. Well done, Hayden 👏 👍
it's so strange that in Australia there are sometimes 3 people working on garbage truck and sometimes they are alone

Ryde Veolia will even get some of the Parramatta Veolia Bucher side loaders as spares aswell as the rear loaders! Like to see 35m buchers in Ryde, hope they get them!
Veolia has Parramatta this November with fogo! Trucks will be Dennis spaks both side and rear loader!
Ryde next year with Veolia will be all Dennis spaks side loader and Mercedes econics on rear loaders only aswell as some of the ex parra buchers side loaders!
I also hope Veolia will reopen the old yard at Camilla again as a truck fleet depot for both Parramatta and Ryde Veolia!

thanks mate, yeah both alex and the crew were telling me where the jobs are and the best ways to get to those destinations
