As a woodworker, I can tell you that you don't always want a solid wood constructed table. I have a 1969 professional Brunswick table that is in still like new condition. Its veneered. Solid wood is great, but at these lengths, it can and often does warp over time with changes in humidity. Often times, though we all think its cheaper, engineered wood serves specific purposes that make it superior to solid wood in certain applications. For a pool table, in my opinion, veneered engineered wood is a superior use case over solid wood.

No mention about the difference in ball return vs. pockets. Having to always walk around the table to collect the balls gets old. My personal favorite is a Diamond, and most all of the Pro tournaments use them. They are pricey, granted for the price you will pay for one it always seems pockets are defective.. They never seem to work for me when wanted well except maybe that white one always goes in so easily when not desired :) Brunswick are great tables too while a lot of people i know usually prefer on or the other Diamond vs Brunswick. Balls on the Brunswick's seem to bounce truer, but then again you can do stuff on a diamond you won't be able to on a Brunswick, guess the reason most pros favor Diamonds more . That said it is almost a religious debate about which table is better. But in the end a 9' diamond pro am with ball return is perfect for me...

I've never heard of "Cubic Zirconia" brand tables, but I have heard of- and played- on Diamonds... :P (love 'em!)-
That pool table is the one and only Brunswick Manhattan and costs about 812 500 dollars... Good video! Very very very good information!
FYI Regulation means exactly what she says it does.
9ft is usually defined as a tournament size, even though tournaments can be held on 7 or 8 foot tables.

I learned a couple of things too.
1 thing to consider when buying a pool table. BUY A DIAMOND TABLE! lol. That's it. That's all she had to say. You're buying quality and the best. Says a lot when you see every pro playing on one.
i don't know about that...i'm into brunswick gold crowns and brunswick has been around for over a 100 years. diamonds been around for 30 or 40. brunswick is so well known that they don't have to pay the promotional money anymore. i've played on both and they both played superb...although diamonds are a little bit tougher because they cut the pocket deeper the slate extends deeper into the pocket itself so there is more chance of hanging balls( i hate that )
If you suck, it doesn't matter where you get your slate from. If you suck at you local bar, you're going to suck on Italian slate as well.

My friend anthony said I should contact you. My house is built on a slope, and one end of the room is 5ft lower than the other end. Do you have any recommendations for sloping pool tables? Perhaps some anti-gravity balls?

You guys forgot to cover the pocket sizes considering for example diamond pocket sizes are different from valley. Also forgot to cover cloth like simonis vs championship.
next time its a good idea to turn down the music volume, so you are more focused on what you are saying..
Good video but it's hard to check the slate when the cloth is already on. Speaking of cloth, shouldn't that be in the top 5? Much more important than the price, which anyone interested in buying will soon discover how far their budget will go. Thx!

OK, like Hellloooo chick, I am 29 seconds into your video and two things have thoroughly struck and impressed me you said "quality pool table and are standing next to the Brunswick Metro (Retails around $30k) Not baaad, so glad you weren't in front of an American Heritage! (nothing american about it, MDF frame cheap chinese all around)
