Just found you guys! Looking forward to watching your videos! I checked out your IG as well. You are doing a great job! I thoroughly enjoy your content!
I think we'll go out on the island for a bit then get back on the ship to eat then go back out. Our cruise is an eight day cruise so we'll be at the island overnight and leave around noon the next day.
Thanks for the video! I’m heading their solo cruise for my birthday 3 day! You are so funny and love seeing your fam! ❤❤❤❤😂😂 I’m gonna do the same I rise by 6am I’ll have breakfast and then when docked and ready I’m heading to find a spot!❤Lighthouse Bay ok!
Thanks for the video👍 I've been on MSC cruises that stop at Sir Bani Yas Island in the UAE. It's a protected island too. I'm not into beaches but I did like it there to just suck up the sun and breeze. I don't recall how the BBQ ribs were cooked there but they were excellent. That's basically all I ate! 😋 I'll be at Ocean Cay later this year, and I'm definitely trying the cakes/cookies!
Good morning. I just watched your Ocean Cay vlog. It couldn’t have come at a more perfect time. My wife and I are going there in two weeks! Just a couple of questions. First, if you had to pick one thing that is a must do on the island what would that be? Second, what side of the ship is best to see all the festivities at night? Thank you in advance!
Good morning. Thanks for watching!!! I’ll actually be back in OceanCay in 5 days! Can’t wait. It’s my fave private island! You want to have an even numbered cabin. That side will face the island (usually). Sometimes depending on the weather conditions the ship may back in or go straight in. The 3 times I’ve been there I’ve had an even number and faced the island. This island is all about a beach day. I recommend getting off early and finding free shade (usually right there at lighthouse beach). The other beaches/lagoons don’t offer shade and you will need an umbrella- and those come at a cost of about $12 each and you have to set it up and carry it with you if you decide to move. Pack your own snorkel gear to avoid renting one. Hope this helps. Enjoy your time there!
@@MHFamilyAdventures yes, that helps a lot! Thank you. Now convincing my wife to get up early is going to be tough! One more thing, how do you compare cruise lines as far as ranking? We haves cruised several other lines but this is our first time in MSC.
Your review of the island was great and I thought your review of the buffet was the best part especially bite by bite really good I have a question. When did you go? What time of the year I’m going this coming January 7 you kept on saying it was cold in the water. I’m just curious of what time of the year it was I’m probably gonna have the same problem again great review loved watching it
Thank you. We appreciate the support! We went in March. I don’t have a very strong tolerance for cold water lol so it may be ok for you. We will actually be there again the day before you! Enjoy!
Your kids are amazing...so well behave. I was there not long ago and the buffet was just okay. The burgers were overcooked. The area beach were you folks were at to me was the best.......
Hello again! Is there a formal night on the cruise? Normally there is but I haven’t seen anything about it? Things these days are definitely changing. Thank you!
It depends on how many nights your cruise is. It’s definitely more laid back nowadays with cruising. But MSC offers formal/gala night(s) on cruises 4 nights or longer. No strict dress code for this/ just no jeans, shorts, tank tops, or flip flops. And there is always a white night party on MSC.
@@MHFamilyAdventures thank you for the heads up on the white party as well as the formal nights! Being our first time in MSC, I was unsure. It is a seven night cruise so we will come prepared. Thank you for clarifying! Enjoy visiting Ocean Cay again!
Love your videos I’ll be planning a MSC cruise 2024 June I will be contacting you soon so one question you get off the ship to ocean cay n you have access for the food there with your cruise package ???? N our group are mature seniors would you recommend this ship ???
Thank you so much. Yes I’d love to help you plan your cruise. Yes food is included at Ocean Cay. And if you have a drink package, you can get drinks there too. Yes I’d recommend this ship for mature seniors. It’s a more laid back cruiseline, but they offer several activities as well. And if anyone should require special accommodations such as an accessible cabin or wheelchair/scooter, those can be added on through a company called Scoot Around.
Are there any excursions or organized activities on Ocean Cay? Like snorkeling, kayaking, SCUBA, etc? I would be happy to sit on the beach all day but my 17 yr old will definitely say she’s bored. lol
Thank you for making this these videos, I had no idea about this cruise line. However, because of you we have booked a trip for mid-September 2023, leaving out of Orlando Fl. It’s my third cruise after Carnival, and Royal Caribbean
Hello MH family adventures, I will going to the Bahamas on MSC DIVINA in 10 days as a family with 2 kids for the first time and I have some questions: we will be in Ocean Cay from 8 am til 8 pm on day 2 and knowing how easily bored and picky my kids are, do you know if we can go back and fourth between the private island and the ship or haflf day at the private island and half day back to the ship. #2 any recommendations for the kids club? I feel like the kids won’t really get time to enjoy the cruise ship activities because all 3 days we will be back in the ship at night. After spending the days off the ship. What’s the latest the kids activities remain open til? Thanks in advance
Hello. Yes you can go back and forth from the island to the ship at your leisure. The kids club activities usually go until about 10-11pm at night. Have a good time!
I know your post says this trip was 3 months ago, which would be around May or June maybe, and you said the water is cold..we are going 2nd week of Oct, do you think the water will be too cold them also?
Hey and thanks for the reviews on this cruise line booked a cruise for late Oct 23. I was wondering how will I get an iron and ironing board. Will they bring them to you upon request or 🤷🏽♂️
We are going on a cruise in oct, and it says we wkll arrive back at port Canaveral at 7 am..if i book an airline ticket for 11:45am, will i make it to the airport in time using the cruise control trnsportstion shuttle? Like how long will it take for me and my family of 5 to get off the ship? Ive never been on a cruise.
11;45 is cutting it close for Port Canaveral. If the itinerary says 7am, you should add another an hour to that because it depends on whether the ship gets immediate clearance from the port authorities. Most of the time it happens quickly but it can be delayed. You’d also want to make sure you are in line to be one of the first off. If you have a passport you will go through the customs line pretty fast. But if you are using a birth certificate there may be a line. It’s about a 45 minute drive to Orlando airport. And Orlando is notorious for having long lines. If you don’t have to check bags then you probably could make this flight. But if you are checking bags, using birth certificate, I’d recommend pushing it back to about 1pm. But Cruise Control is very punctual- but they also may not wait around if for some reason the ship is deLayed for a long time (or if it takes you an hour longer to get off they ship than your reserved time). They’ll come back for you but may not wait if there is a huge delay- but they will communicate with you along the way. Hope this helps. Enjoy your cruise
No passport required for cruises starting and ending in the US. Everyone 16 and older will need a valid ID and original birth certificate. 15 and younger just an original birth certificate.
It’s actually larger than Princess Cays. I didn’t show all of the island. But part of it is secluded right now as they continue to build on the island. I liked Princess Cays but didn’t like the large rocks/boulders in the water.
This video like a few others I’ve seen has saved me a trip to the Ocean Cay Buffet. When we visit this summer we’ll be going back on the ship to eat, that line is not worth it
What are you talking about? My headline is phrased as a question. Not a statement or fact. It’s phrased that way because some people believe it is the worst private island- we in fact do not believe that (if you even watched the video). But I guess the title did exactly what it was intended to do… thanks for the engagement.
Just found you guys! Looking forward to watching your videos! I checked out your IG as well. You are doing a great job! I thoroughly enjoy your content!
We didn't even get to the buffet on the island. Glad to see your take on it. Doesn't look like we missed out on too much lol thanks for sharing
Lol yeah I probably wouldn’t wait in that line again. But it wasn’t bad at all.
Was there this week, nothing wrong with that island buffet. NOt the mpst amazing, but it is not awful
Lols at the boiled rib! 😂 “it’s not bad …it’s edible…” are not highest of compliments! LOL I’ve been enjoying this series so much!
🤣🤣🤣
I enjoyed this video and your family; thank you for sharing your experiences!!😊😊
Our pleasure! Thanks for watching!

Thank you for your video very helpful. The island looks beautiful we’re going this summer can’t wait . 😊

Nice! Enjoy! I don’t think we’d wait in line at the buffet again. We’d definitely go back on the ship.
That’s an awesome idea!!!! Thank you!!!
The water is beautiful.... The Dyson and JoMarie segment was hilarious, I love your families lightside
😁 those two together are a trip!
Thank you for sharing your experience ! beautiful island yes it is

Enjoyed the kids story about the family😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣
Ive been there 4 times. Its without a doubt my favorite private Island among the cruise lines
It’s ranking #2 for me right now (after CocoCay)- but it just might make it to #1 after the next visit!
@@MHFamilyAdventures we preferred it over Disneys Castaway Cay which we have been to many times

Thanks I’m going on MSC Seashore next week - I will put my feet in water at Ocean Cay then head back to ship to eat and enjoy my balcony 😀
😂😂I spit my coffee out during the kid takeover OMG that was hilarious. Lol you reminded me of my grandma she would “find a napkin too”
🤣🤣🤣 gotta keep in a napkin in your purse lol!
Coco Cay is awesome. Have you guys been to Labadee?
Not yet. We will visit Labadee next year.
Are there any excursions or organized activities on Ocean Cay? Like snorkeling, kayaking, SCUBA, etc?
I would be happy to sit on the beach all day but my 17 yr old will definitely say she’s bored. lol
Yes they offer snorkeling from a boat, jet skis, and a couple other excursions. Not many. All water activities.
next time you have to do the jet skis, we saw dolphins and turtles. Amazing
Oh that sounds like fun! Will definitely do that when we cruise on them again next year!
Where can I go in the Canon island off the cruise 😊
Loved this island
Beautiful name you gave your little girl. I love the old school names. Used em for my little ladies. 👏
Thank you for making this these videos, I had no idea about this cruise line. However, because of you we have booked a trip for mid-September 2023, leaving out of Orlando Fl. It’s my third cruise after Carnival, and Royal Caribbean
Have fun! MSC is definitely underrated!
What month were you there? Did the water warm up?
We were there March 2023. The water did warm up some.

I always think the water is cold lol. The water will be ok in October for most people. It really gets colder around January.
Hey and thanks for the reviews on this cruise line booked a cruise for late Oct 23. I was wondering how will I get an iron and ironing board. Will they bring them to you upon request or 🤷🏽♂️
Some ships have ironing rooms onboard. Or you can request the press service that costs a little bit. No irons allowed in the cabins.
😂😂😂 kids are hilarious comedians
Facts! No filters!
omg the water is gorgeous. and the food looks better than RCL

How was the kids club ? I have a 13 year old and we’ve got several cruises booked with this line.
Our kids loved it. Even better than Royal Caribbean. Their fave is Carnival. Then Disney. Then MSC. They always had plenty of activities for them.
Did you go on any excursions
Not during our OceanCay stop. But we went cave tubing in Belize. That video will premiere tomorrow night.
Ocean cay looks nice kinda small. We loved princess cay.
