      @Watson Everly That's just it...the writers were fantastic! But the actors BREATHED those characters, gave the human personalities to a tee! I've been watching all the Law & Orders since the beginning- I'm in too deep. These people are real -- TV show or not! 👏👏👏🙌🙌🙌🥰🥰❤

      I liked the time he told the witness,” I’ll ask the questions, sir”! The sir was obviously clothed in contempt. I liked McCoy but Stone was what made me a fan.

    I don't know why but, I love the fact that Robinette shared some of his pretzel with Stone. I think it just shows how cool they are with each other. Oh, awesome episode too. 😁👍🏾

      That was one of the saddest twists I've ever seen. You don't excuse what he did but it was clear how much they'd manipulated that kid and took advantage of his vulnerability to turn him into a killer.

    Law & Order had the best writing I have ever seen on American television. It would be great to see a series about the early days of Adam Schiff or Jack McCoy both were compelling characters.

    God, Moriarty was so great as Stone. The way he cut the lawyer off around 3:00, well not cut him off, just flat ignored him as he went to speak, but not raising his voice then. Stone made it known, he was in charge. Then, the real threat. Ben Stone could threaten better then any of the subsequent characters. he was cold. Yet, his character was also very understanding when it came to mitigating circumstances.

    S. Epaka Merkerson (Mrs. Denise Winters) played her role to the hilt! The emotion when she learned her son died tore my heart out!! Then she went on to become the famous Lt. Van Buren. Well played S. Epaka!!!

He played the forensic psychiatrist, Dr. George Huang on SVU, and is currently on my new favorite series, (in it's 4th & final season this fall on USA) "MR ROBOT". He said that playing Huang gave him immense joy, bc he's heard from so many ppl with mental health issues, that he became enthralled w/ that field. Indeed, it was my tweet abt therapy & Mr Robot, (a show about social anxiety, depression, & psychosis, that has the protagonist hacking ppl to alleviate his mental pain) that BD liked. i screamed, tweeted, that i was freaking out, and he liked those tweets, too. Such a great guy, and LGBTQ role model & activist. 💗

    The real estate guy's lawyer plays Carrie's boss in The King of Queens, who is head of the law firm: Kaplan, Hornstein, and Steckler. The years and locations of both shows add up. He was a defense lawyer in the '90s in NYC, then in the 2000s he's started and running his own firm with everything: litigation, corporate, etc.

    ANOTHER classic L&O. Ben Stone, "...the light of day"! Drug Dealer, "...he's not going to mess with my thing." and Ben Stone, " 15 seconds, they keep you home in Sag Harbor, they keep the Mercedes, five seconds." The writers had a field day with this. And the missing scene of the 14 yr old punk that "aired out the place" thought he should get a walk because he could not read the address correctly. Man! What a program! I never missed it 20 years ago and those stories seem like yesterday.

      @@toomanyaccounts That's what I always liked about shows like L&O, The Sopranos, and The Wire--they show that except for the highest-up people, the guys in the rackets are breaking even or getting a *little* ahead. And even the guys at the higher end of the food chain aren't exactly living like Pablo Escobar.

      @@toomanyaccounts David Simon has some stuff to say about the drug trade guys, but from what I've read about the mob, part of it is some of the guys are just bad eggs from the start and some of them grow up around the Life, see their friends/relatives being part of it, and see the "straight" guys working harder and getting nowhere while seeing the more successful made guys in the neighborhood dressing better, making their own rules, etc. Can't say I don't see why they would find it appealing, especially when they're too young to see the downsides.
      Plus, for both groups, once they get themselves bent with the law, it becomes that much harder to straighten out and do the honest living thing.

    I started watching law and order as a kid in the 90s. I remember being the only kid in school. My teacher and I would talk about it all the time. The original law and order, not svu, is probably the best tv that can out of the United States

    Although all of the Law & Order franchises and seasons were and are great, I still like the original cast better. They started it all. My favorite was Paul Robinette (Richard Brooks).

    Schiff and stone had a very unique A relationship compared to the other district attorneys and assistant district attorneys. You can see in Adam's behavior towards Ben that there was a lot of respect
