  • Interval International has significantly devalued the value of trading Hyatt Vacation Club points for weeks in Interval. In this video I go over all the details and show you just how much more it will cost a Hyatt Residence Club owner to exchange their points with Interval International.

    Thanks very much for this video sir. I was actually looking to pick up a Bronze HVC deed specifically to exchange into II. Not anymore though after hearing this. Timely info. Thank you!

      Yeah, buying for trading in II is probably not the best option now. Especially a bronze week that probably doesn't come with a lot of points.

    I am a Hyatt resale specialist (resale being the key word here!); the EEE points are referred to as External Extended Exchange; this gives you two additional years from your usage week in which to use your points; but you cannot go back and trade into Hyatt resorts. You can use your EEE points to trade into any other timeshare resort that Interval handles.

      Thanks. That was kind of my understanding but I didn't want to put it out there and be wrong in a video that lives on forever. Thanks for watching and for providing insight in to how EEE works.

    How does one exit hyatt vacation club? Is it better to sell to a third party? Does it have to be paid off first?

    • @DestinationTimeshare

      It depends on what you really own. Hyatt Vacation Club now consists of two programs. The legacy Welk system and the legacy Hyatt Residence Club program. Welk really doesn't have any value. You probably have to give it away to get rid of it and it does need to be paid in full. If you own a legacy Hyatt Residence Club deeded week, then it might have some value and is easier to get rid of. However, some weeks are better than others. If it is paid in full you may also be able to contact Marriott Vacations (who owns Hyatt Vacation Club) and ask about a deed back.
      Whatever you do, don't pay a company that promises they can get you out. These are scams, no matter what they promise. Don't pay an exit company to do what you can do yourself for free.

    That gold pineapple looks tilting, perhaps in transition to going up-side-down to attract more swingers to timeshare, hence the price increase. Marriott Hotels just botched their partnership with MGM, everyone gets Bonvoyed.
    All kidding aside, I'm glad I bought Club Wyndham in Sedona and not Hyatt, especially with our partial week patterns. Hyatt is next to our wine club, within the main tourist area, but can turn into gridlock with traffic. Wyndham is a block away from the movie theater for their film festival, walking distance to some restaurants and the grocery stores.

      The Hyatt in Sedona is really nice. You can definitely walk to the shops and restaurants from there as well.

      @@johnlanier3616 If I owned there, I would value these advantages. Traffic is just terrible during peak tourist times, or if the I-17 gets shut down, and people are routing through Sedona. Half of why we bought was for the film festival, so it is nice being in walking distance. From what I understand, Hyatt is not as forgiving for owners who stay less than 7 nights. Anyways, with Hyatt being a excellent product, it should not be treated like an inferior trade in II.

    Is there a good vacation hotel club worth joining or buying into?

    Is there a limit on how many guest you can send on vacation?

    • @DestinationTimeshare
      @DestinationTimeshare  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Generally you can add guests to every reservation up to the amount you own. However, depending on the program and timeshare company they may deem excessive guest usage as unauthorized commercial rental activity and take actions to stop it. If you are just sending family and friends, it isn't really an issue. If you are renting out for profit to a certain extent, you may run into problems.

      @@DestinationTimeshare is there a cash option? I’ve been renting out Worldmark inventory specials for almost 2 years. We wanna expand our inventory because we aren’t the only people doing this. There’s a bunch of people

    • @DestinationTimeshare
      @DestinationTimeshare  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Are you referring specifically to Hyatt Vacation Club or other timeshare systems? I know with Marriott, you can book cash rates on Marriott.com, but they aren't really discounted. Hilton Grand Vacations Club has Open Season cash rates that are kind of similar to Worldmark. You can also look at Last Call and Extra Vacations in RCI and if you have something with Interval International they have Getaways where you can book a full week for cash.

      @@DestinationTimeshare well what we do is we rent out inventory specials and some RCI extra vacations. Which RCI is best through Worldmark hands down. We want to buy another vacation club that has cash options similar to Worldmark’s inventory special.

    Does anyone really understand how these things work?

    • @DestinationTimeshare
      @DestinationTimeshare  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      They can be complicated, but when you learn how to work the system they happen to be one of the best travel bargains out there. Not as much if you buy from the timeshare developer. Thanks for watching and the comment!

      @@DestinationTimeshare Agreed. Thanks for your videos. They are very helpful along with TUG. You are correct that timeshares are a better value. We used to stay at the Spring Hill Suites at Disneyworld. Then I found out we could say at Cypress Harbour in a 2 bedroom for around $200 per night. I would consider picking up a resale contract there but when Marriott is selling the rooms for the same price as the maintenance fees I'll keep doing that.
