I used to love the days when spring rolls, were called pancake rolls. Each Chinese takeaway made their own, one place I used to go to, two pancake rolls, pot of curry sauce and you were good to go, filled you up for the day. There's be veg, bits of pork, chicken, sprouts the lot. Now they all buy them in ready made and call them spring rolls, half the size and noting to write home about. Back in my day I worked in my local one, when it was still a novelty.
Back in my day I had to fight 50 lions and climb 1000 km into space to form a megazord to get the filling of the “spring rolls”, which were called space rolls. Each space constellation had their own form rolls, one place I used to go, 10 space rolls, cauldron of meteoroid dust and you were good to go. There’s bits of goblin, hydra, chimera, fountain of youth the lot. Now they all use star war clones to mass produce them in ready made and call them spring rolls, minuscule like my d- and that’s saying something to write home about in a intergalactic hologram. I miss the golden era of winter rolls when I used to blast space rocks on my way to uni when I was fresh out the womb, when it was still a novelty.

That thing about being around a few Chinese shops - I literally get my noddles from one, curry from another ribs & chicken balls from another and so forth. Like I think some are better at certain dishes, or I suppose have landed on there own version of things. I have been known to actually place 2 orders and drive to both to get my perfect combo, in fact once 3 when chips we're included as there's one place that bangs them the absolute best... though that was me showing off.
True, or in my experience places that are also a restaurant are better quality overall as a lot of the purely take aways use concentrates for their sauce rather than purely home made, the difference is when something is home made when it goes cold it doesn't congeal into a jelly and stays the same consistency when reheated.
Unlike most munchy boxes tho...this is a bit different...sounds delicious tbh! Had a amazing Chinese munchy box in Orkney of all places! Had some in Glasgow and perth and the Orkney one was elite!

You should try woffle burgers in Liverpool on county road, has savage beef and chicken burgers and some really nice waffles too! One of the best burger places I’ve had. Much love

Ha ha ha. Cudworth is nothing like Royston Vasey. Some of the other villages around there are a lot more similar to Royston Vasey. Those League of Gentlemen guys studied at Bretton Hall college I believe.
