This looks like excellent value at £18..Always a trip down Memory Lane for me when Danny's in York.. When I hear the voices of the people I do get a bit homesick. I do miss Yorkshire so much sometimes. Nice one Danny! 🌟👍
I was in York yesterday and went to the races, it was a great day, quality food and drinking in York. Wish I'd known Danny was about, I could have gone and met him and give middle feast a try. Have to say Danny reminds me of Peter Kay, his down to earth personality and his ability to speak to anyone and have a laugh is great.

I would love to go here and try their food. That platter would be great, but obviously shared. Great value!! On top of all that, it always, always amazes me the diversity of the type of person who approach Danny and want to have a photograph taken. There is nothing people like better than a honest, non-judgmental, friendly person and that is Danny.

Subbed n liked ! Cheers, Daz, Leicester. PS..was that Michael McIntyre at the end haha !!
Meze's looked amazing, seemed like Lebanese but similar to Turkish. Falafel looked tasty and the kebbeh, the bulgur wheat casings stuffed with minced beef or lamb with chopped onion and parsley and spices deep fried👌 The humus was super creamy and the lamb and chicken shawarma also looked tasted. Halloumi fries had that rustic look to them, still tasty. Love Ayran yogurt drink (sour with tiny bit of salt, goes down well with kebabs!), needed more flat bread and dips were missing! Nevertheless 10/10👌
Just remember everytime Danny visits a place they know he's coming when you do they don't so don't expect great places every where he reviews because it's just not truthful and consistent
Stuffed vine leaves aka dolmades are AMAZING. Whenever I have Greek food I always order a plate of them. Best drizzled in lemon and dipped in tzatziki!
I'm in the states and my husband wants us to go to Wimbledon next year, but now I need to convince him to extend the trip up to York because oh.. my.. god this looks amazing. I've had some of these things at Greek restaurants (love the stuffed grape leaves) but falafel is so easily dried out. I think the halloumi would have been better grilled though. I had some banging grilled halloumi when I lived in Wales.
@@Mot8484 Caerphilly is gorgeous! And yes, its basically impossible to find halloumi here outside of some specialty shops in big cities. It's odd since it is Greek/Mediterranean, and there are Greek restaurants everywhere, but everyone just seems to use feta.

18 quid I think is about $22 dollars in the US right now, that's a really nice price for all of that, especially if you compare it to what you get in the US right now. I ate fast food for the first time in years the other day, cost be 18 FREAKING DOLLARS at Wendy's for a double burger, half filled large fries, watered down Coke and a small chili. I would happily pay $22 for that spread. That's enough food to last me three days easy.
