Probably one of the best games Rockstars has ever made in my opinion. It’s just a shame that it was left in the mud because of GTA Online and it’s content and DLC. They really could’ve expanded RDR2 with some solo and offline DLC and they also could’ve re-released the game on PS5 using up the best software and technology to see how well they could remaster it. Maybe someday they’ll go back to something that the true fans respected them for.
Problemm is, the key figures being RDR2 left Rockstar, so without the vision, it suffered. I'm just glad we got to experience what we did, a fitting capstone to Rockstar before they get woke in GTA6.
I'm 32, I play video games since I'm 10. I've been touched so much by a few games, and as we all know, growing up means that less games are able to touch us so deep. But Rdr 2 did that, stronger than all my old memories who had for them the mind of a kid, more easily touched. This game is the best game I've ever played. I felt litteraly thankful during the credits, thankful for the massive work that has been done on this game. Thanks the devs, musicians, artists and every single person involved in the creation of it, I can only guess how hard it's been to create this monster. Rdr 2 is in my brain with my favorite movies, books. This game is art to me. And this song is my favorite one... I feel sad again while listening. edit : and thanks for this video dude. Hauntingly beautiful. I'll never forget such a powerful man as Arthur, such a memorable character, reliable friend and trustworthy confidant. He's the ultimate portrayal of a man torn between wanting to do good but the harsh nature of reality forces him to become dangerous. When I think of Arthur, I think of that line Jordan Peterson says about the Meek shall inherit the earth. It's not meek as in weak, it's the one who is capable of drawing his sword and defeating his opponent but through wisdom knows when to draw his sword and keep it sheathed. Pick your battles. Don't fight just because you're good at it and can do it well. Avoid it at all costs but use it as a means to protect yourself, your loved ones and to help those in need. Arthur is just written so well. Had I been a whole lot younger when playing this for the first time, his character would've likely influenced me much more but then again, I'd likely not understand the complexity of his character either. I feel like he was my best friend for a long time, and I miss him. Or, I miss someone like him, in my life. I don't know, but I'm sure most of us can relate to that.
