Hi and thanks for sharing the creation of this xenomorph figurine, I'm a fan of the saga and I have to admit that your creature has nothing to envy to some I've seen on stl file sites, you've done a superb job and Gieger would, I think, be pleased to see that creators/computer sculptors continue to produce Aliens over the years under his inspiration.
I likeds it ! Full disclosure : I did skip from around 10:00 to 17:45 as I felt I had seen enough of the sculpting to "get it", but wanted to see the posing and the rest
@@PrintedObsession If there are details you want to show but showing all of it would be long, you might do a Picture in Picture effect of split the screen in 4 and show multiple parts of the body being done at the same time
Awesome Job! The Alien looks so cool! I tried to do the technique where you made that spine, holding shift and drag a straight line out in various parts. I cant get it to work. When I use the gizmo and hold shift and drag, nothing happens other than the part dragging. It doesn't replicate like yours did. Any idea what I'm doing wrong? Thanks and just subscribed. :)
hold Ctrl to drag out one, then let go of Ctrl to drag out multiple. ill have to go back and correct that if i said shift not Ctrl. I learned it from this video - th-cam.com/users/shortsw9uU-PqSrLo?feature=share
This is incredible work!!! Super motivating and informativ etoo :) Im new to Zbrush, whats that thing called where you can blend out different parts but only by making them translucent? And how come you can mask and work on 2 seperate subtools at times?
This is far more captivating and intriguing to watch than a timelapse accompanied by some drumbeat.
glad you liked it ^_^

What do you think about Transpose Master plugin for posing, does it not fit your workflow well?
err its not a tool ive used before ill give it a look.
Would have been cool if you’d used the tail to balance the model

Can you explain how you did that transpose brush deformation thing in tail
transpose tool - that little cog in the row of icons - bend curve. then just use the handles to move it about.

Audio is shifted to left which feels weird

do you mean using the transpose tool to move multiple subtools? there's a good tutorial on the zbrush gimbal which should show how on zclassroom.
Is there a way to get the material you are using?
its just an AO layer, and a few cavity maps to make it look like that. i think i used the plastic dusty smart material to start .
