This is a true to life masterpiece. A artist is not only a excellent drawer or painters they are creators who bring joy to their friends and families. Merry Christmas 🌲
Love the idea of more cloud paintings. Maybe some fall storms or snow storms. Working with all the shadows improves painting techniques for me personally.
Hi Jane! I watched this entire video over the course of several days. It's so relaxing to watch you paint. I hope that one day I will have the *patience* to do a painting like this. Thank you! -Sarah
Jane - you could choose to paint twice a year and I would follow you. Do what's best for you! I appreciate that anxiety/depression gets in the way at times. I imagine that others that follow you, may feel the same. There is something about what you choose to paint, dark, edgy, attracts some of us. I was using a photo from pixabay to create a painting & it was nothing like the photo. What I painted reminded me of your stormy paintings; stopped b4 I ruined it. Haven't touched it for days, but now know what I need to complete it. You inspire, but in the end it is my inspiration that counts.
I totally agree with your answer when I enquired about the reflection. I have no responsive depression, ADHD, and high anxiety. Depression is from an adnormality in my brain I was born with. I've tried everything even the magnets. Anyway over the years I've been asked or admonished by graduates of art schools. I do watch excellent artists like yourself to pick up things. I finally began to respond that I paint what and how I like for me with the hope that someone else will like it. I do have trouble at times to sit down and paint. I have so many ideas for subjects, the getting started is difficult.
Getting started really is the hardest part! When I'm struggling to start, I just scribble. It's really amazing how helpful that can be! And it's so freeing😊 I'm so glad you're finding joy in painting! It's so good for our well-being. I struggle with anxiety and depression myself. Making a beautiful piece of art can be so elevating. I hope you never stop! 💛💛💛
I cannot for the life of me find a brush that I can actually use for tiny details. All either spread out when I try to make lines/other tiny shapes, dont hold enough paint, hold too much paint and leave a blob and then a dry streak, etc. granted, May certainly be entirely a user issue and the amount of paint I pick up/pressure I use. Also, I’ve only shopped from Hobby Lobby so that may not help. What brush exactly are you using for tiny details. For instance, when you made the highlights on the broken barbed wire. And any tips concerning this
All of the brushes I use are my personal line, and they're all available on my website. It certainly could be the brush you're using, but it does take a little practice. Remember that the tiny brushes need a little extra water to help the paint flow, and you're really not going to get more than a couple brush strokes before you have to reload. I hope that helps!
Well maybe just say hi then get to video. I started painting at 65 and you were the first instructor I ever watched. Your face and presence were so calming.
Hi Jane, I have a question, are you using cadmium yellow or yellow oxide? You have Cadmium yellow listed but you keep mentioning yellow oxide, I just want to make sure I use the correct one. I absolutely love this painting ❤

Are you using yellow ochre or cad yellow light in description?
Cad yellow. Sorry for the confusion.

I really miss seeing you in person in your videos like you used to do.
@@juliebutler3039 it just got feeling unnecessary. I figured it was better to just get straight to it, lol.
