It wouldn’t even be awakening, Shoto has a stronger ice and fire quirk than Endeavor and Rei, he has the generic potential to make blue flames and it’s likely to happen when he’s older Dabi was able to make it younger cuz he actually trained his fire all his life while Shoto barely trained it and finally caught up his fire to his ice training a few months before the current arc By the end of UA Shoto is likely to make blue flames in some of his moves

That s not his quirk awakening. Before his quirk awakening he could manipulate the ice but only it s movements and shape. Now he can also manipulate ice temperature to. That said, the water freezing part is just an application of that new ability. He basically throws a piece of ice into a water source then drastically decrease the temperature of said ice freezing the water around it as consequence and with that effectivelly augmenting his ammo
Don’t know how that would work, except by limiting it’s weakness to light, but even then it’d be basically unstoppable so probably not happening, its plenty strong on its own

You're probably thinking of someone else. Endeavor planned to train Dabi since he was a toddler which "Lit the flame under [his] ass". The trauma comes from the fact that Dabi wanted to be trained to be the #1 Hero but his father found out being born with Rei's half meant you could get icy skin that was particularly *sensitive to heat*. Dabi got 2x his father's power but also his mother's body. Shoto got lucky since he got half n half but the combination is more unstable than previously thought. A fire and water quirk would've mixed better. If Endeavor just told Dabi he couldn't be a- if, Endeavor explained Dabi's weakness to his own power then a lot of the short sightedness could've been aired out.

An additional upgrade to Shigaraki’s decay is the removal of the requirement of all five fingers touching something to decay it. This was shown when Shigaraki lost 3 fingers to Re-Destro. The drawback is the decay spreads slower the less fingers he uses. I heard he could also decay things with any part of his body ever since the awakening, but I don’t know if that’s true.

Btw, about quirks needing to touch objects to affect it (Ochaco's gravity zero and Shigaraki's decay), the awakening seems to allow to spread the effects of the quirk widely, even to objects they don't directly touches. So i think we can be glad Overhaul didn't reached the stage cause it might have been one of the most broken abilities.

I think Toga always could, but had no instructions. Ochako's only requires touch. And Geten controls the ice temperature to keep it frozen, when it touches water it spreads the freeze because temperature goes only one way
If Shinso with his mind control gets an Awakening. It would either be mind control simply from hearing his voice with no need to answer him. Mind control that cannot be so easily broken by physical injury/contact. Subconscious mind control. Or all of the above.
I'm not a fan of a lot of the quirk awakenings we've seen, because I feel like most of them are lazy. But I do really appreciate the fact that Dabi's awakening makes him, literally, everything Endeavor ever wanted. There's a powerful, tragic irony to it.

I think it would’ve been cooler if uravity’s curse made her able to manipulate gravity in both directions. It would be a little OP if she could do any direction bc that’s basically telekinesis but if she could massively reduce OR increase the gravity on someone it would be a SUPER awesome way for her to fight
they should make ochaco's quirk work the other way. instead of making everything float with 0 gravity, she should be able to increase the gravity on certain areas making enemies unable to move
You forgot Bakugo's his awakening lets him condense his explosions and allows him to secrete his explosive sweat from anywhere on his body. Ayoama awoke his as well i think, letting him shoot stronger lasers.

Ochako and Momo has the most powerful quirks; they just need to know how to use them.. former can control gravity, adjust the pull of it, and squeeze everything to death using sheer force of it; The latter can create anything she thinks of, what she needs is quick thinking and imagination is only her limit..
Mina's Quirk is also super powerful. Being able to control the Ph level and the viscosity of her acid means that she can adjust it's molecular structure. So technically, she should be able to create more than just acid.
I think if star stripes awakens her quirk she can just say anything she wants but this time with 10 rules but she dosent need to touch something but just calls out the targets name easily.
why did everyone read that as dabi awakening an ice quirk? endeavor literally says "REI'S ICE?!" and rei is THERE trying to calm dabi down. on top of that the chapter goes out of its way to say there's a difference between a quirk awakening and hysterical strength(which only was ever mentioned one time before when deku fought muscular the first time) and then IMMEDIATELY cuts to dabi with ice in his chest..
I want to make an argument that Kirishima had an awakening it just wasn’t super flashy. When he starts out hardening just kind of makes him blocky and solid, essentially he’s a hammer and can only really smash stuff. However, as he fights and pushes his limits, especially against shie hissaikai, he starts to become more jagged and sharp. To me this isn’t a strengthening on hardening because that would just make him more resilient, it’s a new facet as he is now more like an axe and can be offensive as well as defensive since his edges can now cut people too.

I wouldn't count a new technique as an awakening, more like a powerup. We've had a lot of powerups recently, including Iida and others.

Hitchcock Birds is Koda’s technique and he does it 3x now one at Hero License Exam, two at Dark Deku and three at Final War

Btw, about quirks needing to touch objects to affect it (Ochaco's gravity zero and Shigaraki's decay), the awakening seems to allow to spread the effects of the quirk widely, even to objects they don't directly touches. So i think we can be glad Overhaul didn't reached the stage cause it might have been one of the most broken abilities.

I always wonder why the doctor that always help all for one (forget his name) not just giving dabi somekind of serum or enhance his body become stronger so his body can withstand and adabt to his quirk , so he can using his quirk anytime without making damage to his own body

I think Toga always could, but had no instructions. Ochako's only requires touch. And Geten controls the ice temperature to keep it frozen, when it touches water it spreads the freeze because temperature goes only one way
i dont think dabi actually learns to use ice, he just learns to imitate Shoto's phosphor

I'm not a fan of a lot of the quirk awakenings we've seen, because I feel like most of them are lazy. But I do really appreciate the fact that Dabi's awakening makes him, literally, everything Endeavor ever wanted. There's a powerful, tragic irony to it.

I think it would’ve been cooler if uravity’s curse made her able to manipulate gravity in both directions. It would be a little OP if she could do any direction bc that’s basically telekinesis but if she could massively reduce OR increase the gravity on someone it would be a SUPER awesome way for her to fight

they should make ochaco's quirk work the other way. instead of making everything float with 0 gravity, she should be able to increase the gravity on certain areas making enemies unable to move

Ochako and Momo has the most powerful quirks; they just need to know how to use them.. former can control gravity, adjust the pull of it, and squeeze everything to death using sheer force of it; The latter can create anything she thinks of, what she needs is quick thinking and imagination is only her limit..

why did everyone read that as dabi awakening an ice quirk? endeavor literally says "REI'S ICE?!" and rei is THERE trying to calm dabi down. on top of that the chapter goes out of its way to say there's a difference between a quirk awakening and hysterical strength(which only was ever mentioned one time before when deku fought muscular the first time) and then IMMEDIATELY cuts to dabi with ice in his chest..
Power creep makes games and shows more fun in the moment but less interesting overall because u end up asking yourself “what cant they do?”

I want to make an argument that Kirishima had an awakening it just wasn’t super flashy. When he starts out hardening just kind of makes him blocky and solid, essentially he’s a hammer and can only really smash stuff. However, as he fights and pushes his limits, especially against shie hissaikai, he starts to become more jagged and sharp. To me this isn’t a strengthening on hardening because that would just make him more resilient, it’s a new facet as he is now more like an axe and can be offensive as well as defensive since his edges can now cut people too.
