  • Stepper motors are DC motors that move in discrete steps. They have multiple coils that are organized in groups called "phases". By energizing each phase in sequence, the motor will rotate, one step at a time.
    1) As the stepper motor are digitally controlled using an input pulse, they are suitable for use with computer controlled systems.
    2) They are used in numeric control of machine tools.
    3) Used in tape drives, floppy disc drives, printers and electric watches.
    4) The stepper motor also use in X-Y plotter and robotics.

    connect green led positive to led 2 (4:44) orange cable. And you put it in number 3 ... litle bit cunfused here :-) Als the motor diagram is different ( mirrored ) to what you do or say. :-( Just positive feedback :-)

    Thanks for your video, it got me going very quickly. I've a question. How can I reverse the motor direction in Mblock ?

    I tried usingg that extention but my mblock dropped an error by sayying that apparently something is broken in that extention so it never works :(
