I'm comparing Andy training videos from last year and he has a hell of a lot better condition now than he did then. He's a lot lighter and has a lot more swiftness in his footwork. I'm liking it Andy... 👍👍👍👍👍

@@GuyFromTheSouth Actually it comes down to fast twitch muscle fibers. Some people can train speed and explosive power all their life and never get close to it. I know people with fast twitch muscle fibers who has hardly ever trained boxing and they have this kind of speed as Ruiz.

I always liked and still like Ruiz. There is a fluidity to him that makes it seem like things just come so natural to him. I just wished he worked on making quicker movements with his feet. Because he typically is at a height and reach disadvantage, he needs active and fast feet. It always seemed like there was a disconnect between his lightning quick and explosive hands and his slow deliberate footwork. Canelo doesn’t show consistent quick feet either but he has quick hands and upper body movement. I think that cost Canelo the Mayweather and Bivol fights. Chavez Sr and Tyson used quick and active feet along with quick hands to close in on movers. I wish Ruiz could implement aspects of their game. Unfortunately he fights more like Tua than Tyson.

Andy needs to know the speed and timing is going to beat Ortiz at this age not the power. Martin caught him a lot, couple flash knock downs with just timing as Martin lacks speed. Andy can do very well with his speed if he plays his cards right in this one.

@@GuyFromTheSouth I agree 100% that is why I said power will not win him the fight.

He's got to get those legs moving. He's got the hand speed just not the legs to put him in a position to use those hands
