i remember watching this video a decade ago and it was literally the only house i played in over the years i played it! so many memories. it just goes to show how much more fun sims 3 was because there was a lot more depth to the game!

I'm horrible at building the actual structure of houses, but I'm pretty good at interior and landscaping because one of my family members does that for a living and he saw me building in the game and got super interested and showed me some things
I downloaded this house for my celebrity sims today and I absolutely love it! The only thing I have an issue with is empty level, so irritating! But I do love the house. Good job Curtis!!

Really nice. The only problem i have with your design is having the counters and oven infront of the window, it mustn't look very nice from the outside through the glass. But that's just me. I got some great ideas from this. Can't wait to see what The Sims 4 has to offer.
Thanks for this, I am trying to build a modern house but I couldn't get the colour scheme right but after watching you I can. My problem was the modern colours were all to bright so the floors needed to be very dark which looked horrid. Now I am mixing dark and light and it works :) :D
My point exactly. I didn't know Sims existed before that though, I was on a trip, and when I came home and my sister had bought the Sims 2. From then on I loved it. I don't think any parent should be strict enough to forbid a kid to play those kind of games, it has no violence, and unless you would consider 'Woohoo" sexual tension, or material, It's not inappropriate. I think it teaches life, getting jobs and all. And having sims is sort of like taking care of pets. It's an amazing creation.
I loved this house so much which I wanted it on PS3!! So I built the same replica of this house manually on Sims 3 pets ps3. It was confusing and hard to do, but I manage to pull it off.

What you do is build a the walls you want to cut and put floor tiles over the top of them, use the cheat 'constrainfloorelevation false', place stairs in the floor tiles so that the bottom end of the stairs have made a dip in the side of your wall and use the 'level terrain' tool to make the rest of the wall as low as the dip and repeat until you have the desired height (3/4 wall, 1/2 wall or 1/4 wall)
