One of the great things about Midnight Special was the performances were all live and unique to that moment in time. So cool to hear this wonderful live version by one of the 70s best!
I think what makes this moment more valuable is how they are playing completely live, such a complicated song and this definitely makes artists like the Bee Gees unforgettable.
Wow good. Traveling listening to music by the Bee Gees is a delight. They are also my favorite band and I love the way they harmonize, their chord progressions and their versatility. They are incredible
You can clearly see that since these guys started out performing while in grade school, that they had the basis of timing, and harmony, and pitch down cold…..before they even cut their first record. Real musicians. Well done.
Still really enjoy The Bee Gees 50 years later. The older I get the better I like them. They were unique and had a one of a kind harmony sound.❤Timeless.Sorry that Barry is alone now
What made the Bee Gees somewhat unique was the harmony that they were capable of. It is a physical fact that related family members have similar bone structures, and families can have very pleasant harmonies. Occasionally you can mix unrelated people and do it as well, but so many family groups have been successful because of the harmony aspect.
WHAT AN INCREDIBLE SONG! I never knew Robin sang that high register part, but it was beautiful! And Barry had some amazing non-falsetto chops here! Love these guys!
Right here!!!! No lip syncing,no overdubbed tape music,no nothing!!!! Super raw talent!!! The 70's we're home to some of the best music ever recorded, period.

This is NOT disco. Always my favorite Bee Gees track. The perfect use of Robin’s vibrato style. If this is really live, that’s commendable for 1975. Even the bridge is brilliant. I didn’t realize Maurice was the high vocal at the end.

How great it is to hear Mo sing solo; it doesn't happen often. And, of course, Robin shines through!
❤️❤️❤️
One of the great things about Midnight Special was the performances were all live and unique to that moment in time. So cool to hear this wonderful live version by one of the 70s best!
I think what makes this moment more valuable is how they are playing completely live, such a complicated song and this definitely makes artists like the Bee Gees unforgettable.
Fabulous performance!!! Robin looks so cute here. 3 beautiful men. Thank you for sharing jose ❤❤❤🎼🎸🎶💃🎻
Hello Shirin, it is a pleasure for me to share the music of this wonderful group. I'm glad you liked it.
The audience was very 'reserved'. Did they not realise they had greats before them!
~ [ Manchester's Own.] Fabulous
Without a doubt they had no idea of the musical greatness that was before their eyes.
There will never be another group like this! They were the best, but we can still listen to that great music ❤
I love them
My favorite band of all times!!!!! Their voice's are truly special... Have loved them for years!!!!I have them in my car right now!!!! ❤️❤️❤️.....
Wow good. Traveling listening to music by the Bee Gees is a delight. They are also my favorite band and I love the way they harmonize, their chord progressions and their versatility. They are incredible
The bee gees have stood the test of time...nights on Broadway is just perfect
@@bobbyserrato1949 you're right 👌
I play them everyday too whilst travelling!
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
You can clearly see that since these guys started out performing while in grade school, that they had the basis of timing, and harmony, and pitch down cold…..before they even cut their first record. Real musicians. Well done.
Exactly, that's why they came this far. The Gibbs are synonymous with Magic.
This song always gives me chills. They were SO good.
Yes. amazing
Still really enjoy The Bee Gees 50 years later. The older I get the better I like them. They were unique and had a one of a kind harmony sound.❤Timeless.Sorry that Barry is alone now
Without a doubt this group was wonderful, years have passed and their songs continue to play. Now only Barry is left, the last man standing
I love the Bee Gees good music and excellent sound
They're amazing
All the talent in 2024 can’t add up to the BeeGees
Agree
Nothing comes remotely close today.
The Bee Gees were ONE of the greatest groups ever 🎶❤️
For me the Best
Fleetwood Mac.. But that is arguing over a coin toss. It is far better to appreciate this abundance.. We may never get it/it probably again.
Loved the Bee Gees, loved the 70s. 75-76 were great years for music and for my family. I would go back again...
what a beautiful times
What made the Bee Gees somewhat unique was the harmony that they were capable of. It is a physical fact that related family members have similar bone structures, and families can have very pleasant harmonies. Occasionally you can mix unrelated people and do it as well, but so many family groups have been successful because of the harmony aspect.
I agree, I think that family had a star over their heads. The perfection that the Bee Gees achieved in harmony is unrepeatable
Maurice’s voice is a revelation to me!
Yes, Absolutely
If you go back and watch their early videos, when they were kids, you will see that Maurice hit all the high notes.
Robin too
WHAT AN INCREDIBLE SONG!
Maurice whipping out the falsetto!
Yes, is amazing
Sounds even better live! Thanks for posting this vid!😊
Thanks to you Kathy gor Watching, i hope you like it
Robin, so gorgeous here. And his voice is so distinctive and fundamental to this song
Yeah
This live performance still blows me away. I'll be back soon to listen again ❤
Great Song, so amazing.
So much history! Their careers were started years before disco.... made epic music all throughout!
That's right, Just Amazing
They got alot of flack for disco but without them there would be no saturday nigh fever! Thay moved with the times
A great live performance! I would’ve killed to have had Barry’s hair back in the day 😂
🤭🤭🤭🤭
This is when music was raw and pure talent was the name of the game. I was 11 when Saturday Night Fever came out. There was nothing like it before 😊
They were good times for music. there was pure talent
I'm 60 dude ..supernatural times we lived..crazy time for all music..we lived in the best Era of life I believe..
Agree, simply THE BEST ERA.
I’m 60 too. Best music ever in the 70’s.
Absolutely
Absofuckinlutely!!!!!!✌❤
@lynnschnekenburger7270 ❤️❤️❤️
I remember back in the day thinking this was just disco music. Now being much older, I greatly appreciate their music now .
No one like Bee Gees
Please send me back to 1975. Great music back then. I was a 20 year old United States Marine on Okinawa in 1975. Great Group Great Song. Send me back.
It would be nice to go back to that era, the music was better. I was not born at that time but I love this music, I'm barely over 30 years old, but if it was up to me on my channel I will do everything possible to keep it active
@@olivas91 The 70s were a great. I was 15 yrs old in 1970. We had some great music and group. My favorite group is Led Zeppelin, then ELO, then the Bee Gees. As you can tell my 3 favorite groups are totally different from each other. Semper Fi
Exactly, they are different but they are all part of a range of good and perfect music. There will be no other era like it.
I agree, please god take me back to seventies or eighties. Semper fi from a retired Marine. 1984-2004
❤️❤️❤️
My favorite performance video. ❤ they are so tight together and look like they are enjoying it ❤
Exactly, this is one of the Bee Gees' most compact performances, they were really enjoying it. 4 years later they would become world stars.
Their ambition to make a complex, heavily arranged composition with beautiful harmonies in an era dominated by punk and soft rock remains a stunning achievement. Salute!
I totally agree with you, and that is one of the reasons why his songs remain alive and endure despite the years
First time hearing this performed live and it's just wonderful. Such talented people.
Definitely, here you can see who is who. what a way to bring this song to life. They play it super cool
Nss
♥️
Amazing. ❤️
This song brings me back to my high school days in the mid-70’s. The BeeGees were my absolute favorite. At 64 it brings a tear to me eye remembering those wonderful days of my youth and the thought of Maurice and Robin gone. Love is alive for this trio.
It is beautiful when memories of youth come to mind, it is also moving. I was not born at that time, but I have also happened to remember special moments with these songs.
This has to be the best video of the Bee Gees that I have ever heard!!!❤❤❤ Thank you so very much to the person that put this together for us. I will be watching it all of the time forever, and ever!😅
It is a pleasure for me that you enjoyed the video.
@@olivas91 You are so very kind.🩷🩷🩷 I look forward to seeing you again here on TH-cam.😊
of course
I had the privilege of seeing the Bee Gees on my 18th birthday in 1977. I had just lost my Dad 6 months ago and the concert lifted my spirits more then they will ever know. I was so in love with Barry and he delivered pure perfection with his brothers. This is actually one of my favorite songs. ❤❤❤. What a great way to celebrate 18 trips around the world!!!. Love you Patty
I'm sorry about your dad, but I'm glad that these songs reach your soul for the moment you need, seeing the Bee Gees must be beautiful
@@olivas91 I went to that concert with my heart ripped into pieces. For the 3 hours they performed, I was transformed by seeing my idols. The grief took a back seat for those few hours. 1977 will always be the worst of times mixed with some of the best of times. The Bee Gees were certainly a highlight of such a devastating year. I'm 64 now and the memory of that night is still sweet and magical. ❤️😍❤️
Wow, reading your words I can imagine how difficult it was for you, but I'm also glad you were able to dull the pain for that moment by hearing the Bee Gees live, that's a once in a lifetime thing. And although we will never forget our loved ones, I am sure he enjoyed knowing that you were there.
@@olivas91 thank you so much for your kind words and compassion. And thanks for posting the Bee Gees singing my favorite song. Grief is just the price we pay for great love ❤️❤️. You are such a sweetheart.
Thank you very much for taking the time to watch the video. I appreciate your kindness for sharing that event in your life.
This is NOT disco. Always my favorite Bee Gees track. The perfect use of Robin’s vibrato style. If this is really live, that’s commendable for 1975. Even the bridge is brilliant. I didn’t realize Maurice was the high vocal at the end.
In this song it was always Maurice who did the falsetto to support Barry who was singing the chorus. And you're right, this is an amazing song.
geoegeorr1042 - How old are you ? Were you alive when this song was new ? To say this isn't disco is just a far fetched saying , the '70 ' s were transitioning in to a disco sound and this is a fine example of it !
Wow!!! Still.. after all these years.. ❤
Yeah ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
Морис,Робин,Барри,бесподобные ,моя любовь навеки❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I loved The Bee Gees from the first time I heard them. I still do. Great voices, harmony and presentation.
This is the best I have ever heard them play anything. Absolutely brilliant.
Absolutely
3 British musical acts invaded the U.S. ... The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and The Bee Gees. And in 2024, their music is still awesome!
Exactly ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
Wouldn't a Broadway musical of their music be awesome?
I think it would be something spectacular
Ehh, no. The Bee Gees be Aussies, mate.
@@northerniltree The Bee Gees are from Manchester, England. His parents moved in with them when Barry was 11 and the twins were 9.
Thank you, Barry, Robin and Maurice for the tunes that I remember growing up and when I was in high school. They bring back such bitter sweet memories.
They're amazing and unique
Awesome 3-part harmony☺
They had an incredible way of harmonizing
This song got a ton of airplay on radio in '75. I was in High school and remember well. 👍 Casey Kasem loved it!~
👌❤️❤️❤️ what a times ❤️❤️❤️
Wow I never knew Maurice could sing falsetto, just brilliant. He seemed such a quiet and unassuming guy always content to be in the background. So sad that he and Robin and Andy are gone.😔
Maurice was like that. He never wanted to appear more than anyone else. And he had a beautiful voice, but he was happy being the brains of the group, the harmonies he created are spectacular
I truly believe they were the best singers ever. They loved each other so much. To see them perform together was nothing short of magical!! I will always love them! ❤❤❤
beautiful words, thank you, i think they're the best band ever
Just a awesome tune!
That's right
Another super..fantastic group that defined our generation.....thats an honor Bee Gees...you deserve it...
The Only One Bee Gees, The Best
Man I miss these guys total perfection! We were so lucky to have lived to see them RIP my brothers !
RiP, they,re Absolutely amazing
