They have never once had a rational conversation with anyone on the topic to even be able to justify their statement, so don't expect a response beyond another one liner attack with zero substance to back it up.

The difficulty is that most people just want to win. Trying to fix the problem vs someone trying to win an argument usually just ends in frustration. Usually, the only hope is that they ponder the conversation later and accidentally see their mistake. Both parties have to be trying to fix the problem and that rarely happens unless they were already on the same side.

@sakor88 The irony is that it's weak, lost people like yourself who need Peterson's message the most. It's a vicious circle though: you hate Peterson BECAUSE he accurately points out you are the architect of your own failure, but your aversion to personal responsibility causes you to bitterly reject that message. You're caught in your own trap. Instead of taking personal responsibility you're angrily and childishly lashing out at the person who is telling you how you can escape this trap.

I did this... In 2020, I knew I should have left my abusive boyfriend of 3yrs, who abused me in every way, but for ages i just stayed with him and accepted the way he treated me.... Then one day, on the 30th August 2020, 3 days after giving birth to my stillborn who passed away before I gave birth to her and nearly died myself, i decided I finally had the courage to stand up to him... I left him, applied to University through clearing, got in to a University over 100 miles away, moved there by myself and got a fresh start, and so now its one year later and I am finally succeeding in working towards a career I love, with a new boyfriend who treats me right. Yes, which makes some sense, but also completely misses that the degree to which people can control their own actions is also regulated by society. We live in a sharply divided culture innthe West where divide and rule is the order of the day. The level of commitment and drive it takes to overcome the obstacles society/family places in your way varies dramatically from person to person. Peterson comes from an individualistic persepective which plays perfectly into neoliberalism and other destructive forces in our world. Don't look at injustice just focus on yourself and tidy your own bedroom and take responsibility, and you don't deserve a voice if you can't do this. Not sure he is a truly benevolent force in the world. He comes from an extremely privileged position.

I felt hurt at first because I thought I did everything, but I realized that I stayed on my comfort zone and I don't took a risk because I was afraid to face these consequences. I felt scared but I managed to overcome it. I tried to do something, took some risk little by little and it works. I managed to hold off small conversations and start one. I make people around me happy. Good thing, I always believe that there are good things that will happen to you after you overcome the bad one. It helps me to keep off from committing suicide or self-harm or to stop to thinking about suicide.
If you read this to the end, I really appreciate it. Thank you. I want to share this as a form of recovery and self reflection.

This CD has three separate relaxation/meditation sessions on it th-cam.com/users/postUgkxzpa8CIfZcihW4Z0F_ja0QF3W9KIatrsq guided by a very pleasant and direct male voice. Unlike so many other products of its type, this CD does not have bad synthesizer music, does not feature a phony or affected style of narration, and does not make any bogus claims to be subliminal or to re-train the brain or any of that balderdash. What you get is 1. a guided meditation for getting into a pleasantly relaxed state of body awareness while taking a stroll (superb for those easing back into a fitness routine slowly after an illness or injury) 2. A nice long breath-awareness relaxation session that if followed diligently can put you into very deep states of full-body relaxation and mental calmness, and 3. a buddhist-inspired meditation session designed to help you develop and maintain feelings of loving kindness toward not just yourself and your friends, but toward people you don't even like. The CD makes no claims to be designed for advanced meditators or for buddhists or hindus/yoga practitioners looking for very deep and esoteric stuff. It is geared more toward the average person who just wants to develop the habit of relaxation and stress relief through natural, healthy means. him, if you happen to be reading this, keep up the good work fella, and I love your accent. I would also like to note that I have never fallen asleep while listening to this product. I would like to kindly suggest to the reviewer who said this CD makes him fall asleep, that he might want to get checked to see if he has a sleep disorder, or if he is simply not setting aside ample time for restful sleep at night. A healthy person getting adequate rest at night should be able to go into deep states of mental relaxation without dozing off, if not all the time, then most of the time.
