    I have one on my back patio and it has worked flawlessly for over ten years. I installed LEd 60W equivalent floods and they work fine.

      Charles, encouraging to hear that after ten years it is still working. I am impressed with its ability to pick up cars at greater distance, which helps on our curved driveway.

    Very easy to follow. I have two old motion detector fixtures on my workshop. The led detectors flashes on one. the led detector on the other does not flash at all. The bulbs are good (brand new). Going to rplace them both. Thanks again!

      Since you mention you have two, there one type of unit which will not only turn on upon detecting motion, but will also turn on other similar motion detector(s) in the area. Uses built in communications system without the need to connect to your router.

    I have a Journeyman brand, which I believe is the same company as this one. It’s worked flawlessly for 16 years. I’ll be replacing it with this brand. The one I’m getting is $50.00 on Amazon.

      This identical unit is still at HD for $16.79. My unit is still working great, while a more expensive one with integrated LED failed within two years. Sometimes simple is better.

    Thank you for your reply.
    Can you tell me what caused (an old on i had)(replaced with new same one) or causes the lights to suddenly stay on?

    • @cfldriven

      If I recall correctly, the instructions stated that a quick off and on will put it in a always on mode or off. Cycling through the this quick off and on will switch modes. Don't recall if it was a single or double off and on.

    I have old this sensor light,,without dawn/dusk option, only timer 1,5,10 mints, sometime it won’t turn off after motion activation and remained on throughout night,, Any Solution? How to fix? Thanks

      Is it on a switch? If it is, flipping the power can sometimes cause it to just stay on or off. You have to cycle through to motion detection. Hope this helps.

    But what if it's voming on in the daytime and not at night? What do i do yo correct this?

    • @cfldriven
      @cfldriven  ปีที่แล้ว

      Make sure it is powered 24/7, not in test mode, and sensor is pointed in correct direction. If it continues to act abnormal than contact Heath Zenith or return to store for exchange or refund.

      I would recommend an LED PAR30 as they should last a very long time.

    Where did you connect the ground wire to

      Maureen, sorry about that, I should have explained I was using the green ground screw on the back side of the housing. You can see it at 1:23 into the video. Thank you for watching and the question.

    Where do I find ground wire to attach to the green screw

    • @cfldriven
      @cfldriven  ปีที่แล้ว

      If you happen to have some Romex cable it probably has a bare ground wire you can use. Just cut the length needed and strip out the ground. If it has no ground wire, just strip the shield off one of the other conductors. Otherwise any descent hardware store should have 14 or 16 gauge copper. Avoid 12 gauge as it hard to work with.

    First of all, you should've installed a weatherproof light box so you had something proper to hold the bracket. Also your explanation of 3way switches is incorrect. There's constant voltage between the 2 switches. According to the switch orientation, voltage to the light fixture is still either just on or just off, no need to flip the breaker.

      I was expecting to find a junction box, and not finding one decided to just replace the fixture. The plan is to come back and install a junction box and possibly run new wire. You are correct about the 3 way. It had been left in the on position so the sensor would always have power, still it is good practice to turn power off at the breaker. Thank you for the correction.
