Hi, when you use a toothpick to test for doneness, should the tooth pick come out dry or maybe the anko sticks to it? Maybe I should tap the top of the muffins to sure they are not too soft on top???
Yummy ... a sort of Japanese-style muffin .. we Americans have a tendency to slather a thick layer of sacchariny-sweet icing over the top of our cupcakes. 🌹

The toothpick test doesn’t work for this one because if the Anko. So I normally eat one to test 😝.
