This was a time in my life when i just didnt pay any attention to this band. I've been listening to everything they do. They're a very interesting and nice band. 😊
@@SwordAgainstChaos You going by her looks obviously. Many a beautiful women are crazy AF and not worth the pain. Don't be such a white Knight. It's unbecoming of a man.
I was an early OZZY fan and when I found your allied forces album on the import shelf and it had a Gibson flying V guitar, I bought it! Was for ever a fan since! Randy played a flying V so the link is real! I have seen you live 7 times over the 1980's and 1990's at Alpine Valley, East Troy WI! I'll never surrender, never forget and never give up that magic power! Thanks guys! Spent 20 years as a musician playing songs of those years (including yours), and can tell you to this day, there is no better music! Thank you!
No matter how much life may have sucked at one point or another Triumph has always been able to help to pick you up! I am inspired as a drummer to this very day by the work that Gil Moore did and the work ethic of these guys makes me want to do a good job when I play!
I saw them for the 2nd time on their Sport of Kings tour. No other band that I have seen had such an elaborate show. I recall the face created by lasers beamed over the crowd and speaking to us as they took the stage, very impressive!
Triumph stole the show at the US Festival and was the only band there smart enough to have in their contract the rights to their own performance at the Festival. Interesting story about Bon Scott.
Yes and they were smart enough to save the drinks for after the show. Unlike Van Halen, who were messes. Triumph was great and I still have the VHS and DVD of their performance.
i thought Crue were good to see & hear as well as Van Halen, however DLR runined many moments with his mouth. US festival was so extremely super cool. What I would have gave to be there, Women everywhere & lots of good people & great bands.
One thing is these men did not stab each other in the back (like black Sabbath or Van Halen,or the worst ,Mark Farner get fucked over by brewer ,the drummer) triumph admits they had some problems ,but acted like adults to figure out the way out of the masses.
Okay, weird thing to take away from this whole video, but at 1:14 when Rik says “Do you want the whole story?”. What other Canadian rocker/frontman sounds just like that? Sebastian Bach! 😂

The Bon Scott story alone is priceless!! Hahaha.
agreed. People don't realize AC/DC was not a big deal in the Bon days. Brian made that band big. The fans of Bon get so triggered over this fact.
Magic power was my divorce anthem back in the 90's. This song lifted me up so much. Making me realize I could do life on my own. Love Triumph.
I saw trying for the first time in 1977, I was 19, and if they get back together I see him again
Your ex was a fool.

Great interview, great band, great story !!!!!!!
So many great songs. I can't believe I let this music slip out of my mind through the years.
I'm glad I clicked on this.
One of the best 3 man bands EVER!!

Great story about the late Bon Scott!
Triumph was the best band at the US Festival. Incredible performance.

One of the best straight forward rock n roll bands from the late 70's & 80's. Would love to see them reconcile and tour.

They’re all good
My second favorite Canadian band ever. That's a great spot considering who #1 is. Always a fan
Loverboy #1? Kidding!
Glass Tiger?
April Wine?
Bachman Turner Overdrive
My be a typical response but RUSH is my favorite Canadian band
They headlined the American Rock Festival on Memorial Day weekend 1984 at timber ridge in Michigan...awesome show!
LOL been there done that! you guys are awesome!
The same things that made these guys such a great band eventually also broke them up.
Love ya Triumph
The story of the breakup reminds me of the reason why Grand Funk broke up the first time they did--It wasn't fun anymore

all things come to an end...even rock bands
they were yuge
Rik was the helicopter ... those other guys were the deadweight
- said nobody else, ever
rik seems a bit squirmy to me. God bless them though.
Looks like Gil was the schemer to me..
Rik was a rube, Amazing talent but Gil was the business and production brains.
