Hi from Belgium. I think that you have landed in Charleroi, instead of the main Brussels airport in Zaventem (because you unfortunately flew Ryan Air). And quite frankly, Charleroi is definitely not the best place to be at in Belgium. Anyway I hope you finally made it safely to Paris. But couldn't you fly directly from Riga to Paris? Speaking of Ryan Air, it is a low cost airline, similar to Spirit or Frontier in the U.S. The ticket is cheap to start with, but then you have to pay for all extras (including food) and "special" special requests. And service is of course minimal. If you want to go to Belarus from Latvia, that means that you are leaving the European Union and the Schengen Zone - unlike Latvia, Belgium or France. It's therefore not surprising that you need a visa to go there. Especially in the current political situation, as Belarus is an ally of Russia on its war against Ukraine. I'm not certain that the Belarus authorities welcome us Westerners in their country these days.
@@jfrancobelge yes, thanks, I could have flown of course but considering everything was last minute it would have Costed me a fortune because flying to Paris of course was my first choice but yea I ended up in the eww part of belgium, looooong night that night! And as far as belarus I really wanted to go to offset some of my days because I am almost expired my 90 days and I know it wouldn't count there but hey I guess it wasn't meant to be🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️
