That situation with Spice is heartbreaking. Im a hispanic woman and growing up with darker skin around a bunch of white girls with blonde hair and blue eyes wasn't easy. But damn, I didn't know that colorism was such an issue in the black community and I cant even begin to imagine how difficult that must be. Looking back on Karlie and Moe, Karlie was trying to hint at Moe being abusive. She was trying to say it without really saying it. Even her at the therapy session, her nearly throwing up is a sign of trauma. I am glad she's moved on from him her eyes were just so ....scared.

That's why she decided to paint it instead because she couldn't just bleach it without going through the doctors process and still facing risks.

This is coming from a light skinned woman, I second what he said. My mother and my 18 year old younger sister are dark skinned. My dad and younger brother are brown skinned. I’m literally the lightest person in my family and I would never try to make them or any other dark skinned person feel bad about the color of their skin. Dark skin is beautiful it’s only societies programming that has attempted and unfortunately successfully made people feel different.
It's easy coming from someone who doesn't live with the insecurities. I get it. My mom always had issues with her weight, she wasn't even big. I want to say Viacom is the production company etc , so basically each person has their own agreement with the producers etc and Moniece had already said she was going to go on Atl (it counts as a season ) because it would count towards however many seasons they had in her contract , so she could leave the show faster . Think of it as a 360 deal for reality personalities. Even the real house wives have contracts and word on the street is the reason people don’t promote a lot of the stuff they do on the shows is because the producers come wanting money for it .
