Believe it or not, this isn't even his full vocal range either.

He goes from vocal fry (one of the lowest notes he can sing) all the way up to whistle note range, effortlessly and seamlessly. The song "SOS" is from the Canadian-French cyberpunk rock opera "Starmania" written in 1976 with music by Michel Berger and book and lyrics by Luc Plamondon.. sung by Dimash in French. The song reflects feelings of despair and being depressed with life and refers to the singer wanting to be a bird to see the world from above. Some believe that the lyrics at the end, "Sleep child.. sleep," refer to 'ending it all.'

I'm happy if you can feel this voice. "S.O.S." and "Ave Marie" (New Wave 2021) were the first two songs I heard from him. Since then I have been dimashified. Dimash brings light frequencies to the listeners with his voice. Unfortunately, not everyone can feel and unterstand that.
For me, Dimash's composition "The Story Of One Sky" (his masterpiece) shows his greatness best. The amazing OMV brings us closer to his message of peace (full of symbols), the live performance (video: Almaty concert, part 3, from 23:23) impressively shows his outstanding vocal quality and his expressiveness on stage. But of course there`re so many different styles of music Dimash sang in many different languages.

Love your reaction of disbelief. It’s ok. That happens to the best of us. The only cure for that disbelief is to listen to more Dimash! Take note: Dimash is music itself. Pure and simple. His pure angelic voice can cone in as a whisper and punch through to your heart and soul with such purity and power then come back down to such tenderness filled with emotions. Many good singers has the nice voice, but few or none could project emotions like Dimash does and make you the listener FEEL the music and be moved. He did that to me. “SOS d'un terrien en détresse” tells of an earthly being that is in distress and asking for help because he never felt well in his own skin, he better wants to be a bird to see the world in case it could be more beautiful when seen from above. Luc Plamondon wrote the lyrics of SOS about a very distraught young man who just lost his lover causing him extreme questioning of his own existence. Finally being by her lifeless body, he is able to let her go “in peace“ with the words ‘sleep, my child, sleep’. It is a part of an french Rock-Pop opera released in 1979: Starmania. One of the 5 most difficult songs in French language. It was recorded by Daniel Balavoine in 1979 or so and Grégory Lemarchal won of the French reality singing competition Star Academy 2004 with this song.

He sang SOS on his digital concert in January 2021 during the pandemic. He had to cancel his tour and did this concert for his Dears/fans. That’s why there was no audience to be seen or heard.
SOS is a song in the rock-opera „Starmania“ from 1978. The first who presented this song was the French singer and songwriter Daniel Balavione.
SOS was the first performance of the China competition (in 2017) and was his first appearance in this show. The Singer is a show in China where only established singers are invited to perform. All the singers invited to are already well-known artists in China who have already won awards. Dimash was invited as the first foreigner as a wild card and the youngest in the history of this show. They became aware of him because he had already won some important competitions in Kazakhstan and Belarus, among others. He was still completely unknown in China. Actually, it was intended that he would only have 1 or 2 appearances. But it came completely different. When he woke up the next morning after his first performance of SOS he was a megastar in China and even found bodyguards outside his hotel room. SOS’ first video had 600 million views when it aired. He was just 22 years old at the time.

He is a famous Russian/Ukrainian composer, producer and songwriter. His and Dimash's collaboration created true masterpieces. You’ll often see him accompanying Dimash on the piano. The two have no contract. Their cooperation is based more on mutual trust. It’s more like a father/son relationship. Olimpico is another masterpiece that Igor Krutoy wrote especially for Dimash’s vocal skills. It was written for the 2nd European Games in Minsk, Belarus 2019. And that’s why the lyrics are also very motivating.
This song and this performance is my absolute favourite🥰. I think this version is the best, because his performance is so intense and breathtaking. The light show, the background dancers. Everything. With this song in this version I have gasping breath all the time. The way he represents himself on stage, the hand movements. I think he has incredibly beautiful hands🤭(and apparently many cameramen think so too, since many of the camera shots during his performances very often only show his hands. Sometimes it seems as if he is conducting himself. This is really fascinating). And the facial expression, the look. There he looks so demanding and commanding😱. In my opinion, this version of Olimpico is one of the most impressive performances ever. If you don't know what the song is about, you'd think he was going to war and is calling his army to a lost battle 😅! It’s absolutely stunning. And I don't even mean the vocal part, but also his stage presence. The whole package. Oh wow I’m starting to rave again…🤤 Sorry but I can’t help it🥺. I swear it is mind-blowing 🤯

Its INSANE how good he is. I still freak out sometimes and ive been a Dear for a couple years. You dont quite get used to it. Look up "New Sinful Passion 2019", and watch that performance. Also Super Shine! Brothers performance of Stranger! IMO, Everyone watches the wrong ones lol id LOVE to see you react to those 2!! Hes a Vocal Acrobat and Magician. Ironically, you mentioned Michael Jackson since MJ is an idol of Dimash. Trust me, no one would get upset with you regarding Dimash. As they say, "You ain't heard nothing yet." It's hard to suggest what to hear next. I can only say some of my favorites: Your Love, Love Is Like A Dream, Sinful Passion, Ikanaide, and Adagio is definitely a must. All By Myself and Unforgettable Day from his performances on "The Singer 2017." When he appeared on that show he was only 22 years old. His first four songs were in French (SOS), Opera 2 (Russian), The Show Must Go On (English, and Autumn Strong (Mandarin). He now sings in 14 languages. I love your reaction, it is so genuine.
