@maximoperalta3095 actually it's used more where I live. They encourage it and it a lot easier for chromatic or fast songs, especially when going from f to f#

Fr like the way my book's set up I learn B flat first, so I always have trouble remembering to play B natural (especially when slurring from A natural to B natural
So true, and in band we have to do scales tests and the tests that I’ve passed so far were Bb, Eb, and F scales. The scale that I was right about to pass but didn’t just yet was the C concert scale and I thought I was playing B natural but I put my thumb on the wrong fingering and accidentally played Bb. Btw I play the flute

Not a band kid, but a choir kid. My choir teacher was trying to teach us our songs and we did HORRIBLE. Altos missing their rests, baritones singing too loudly and the sopranos were missing their entrances. One very stern talking too later and the next day we did much better. I swear after we sung through all our songs correctly this woman was in tears 😭🙏

Same Kayla same. *Story time* So I came to pick up my bass clarinet from the band room, I left it where I always do in the corner. I found it in the middle of the floor, when I got home one of the keys was broken it was stuck up. And that is my story on why my bass clarinet is broken. Thank you for reading :)
I play percussion, and since we don’t play too much, and we don’t have to blow into anything, we are always eating stuff, and when we aren’t eating, we are being gay with eachother, and yapping about the most random shi😭

I went to All County with my bass clarinet at Crane school of music, my stand peg didn't have a ball on the end of it and it fell through a crack in the stage 😅 i played while holding it up with my right hand for like 2 hours before I could let my band teacher know. I gave all the professors a good laugh as they had to fetch my stand peg for me from the depths of the theater
The popcorn reminded me of smth 😂 in our band class after every concert we get a day off for all the other instruments to clean theirs and for the class to listen to the songs and we get snacks, but she didn’t want popcorn on her floor so she just tells anyone with popcorn if they drop a piece they have to lick it up 😂 she was never serious but the threat was kind of funny.. band teachers are like the only teachers that can get away with threats
When Someone messes up, The Band Director makes the Band play it again and if it still is happening, The Band director makes everyone go individually one by one
There was only 4 people in band last year, two trumpets and two clarinets. I played the trumpet and whenever our teacher would say something about anything wrong me and the other trumpet would look at each other and be like “well obviously it wasn’t me” “YES IT WAS YOU HARMONICA”
As a percussionist, yeah we lowkey be snacking the whole time during practice, and Im in drumline so we get away with it easier since all of our charts are way aways from the teacher
I’m a percussionist, but mainly a drummer so I suck at bells. Whenever I miss a note sometimes I jokingly blame my friend who’s the opposite of me, really good at bells and ok at drums.
So real. It's getting so bad that I want to quit. At least I'll still have marching band. There's this one kid that sits next to me that'll never shut up and do what our band director is saying.
