- The second sightseeing in Aomori is to take a walk in the Oirase Gorge for two days. The scenery of the Oirase Gorge looks beautiful when you walk from the downstream to the upstream. On the first day, park your rental car at "Nenokuchi" on the shore of Lake Towada, take the JR bus and get off at "Kumoi no Nagare" downstream. It is a route that walks upstream to "Nenokuchi". This section is the upstream area of the Oirase Gorge and has many waterfalls, which is also called the "waterfall area". While observing moss and plants, we will see "Shiraito no Taki", "Kudan no Taki", "Choshi Otaki" and so on. In particular, "Choshi Otaki" is a spectacular and beautiful waterfall that can be used as a shooting spot. Arrived at "Nenokuchi" in about an hour and a half. Take a rental car to the accommodation "Oirase Keiryu Hotel". From the Okuirase Keiryu Hotel, there is a free shuttle bus that runs from the lower reaches of the mountain stream to the middle course for guests. On the second day, take the shuttle bus at 8:00 AM to "Ishigedo" and walk upstream toward "Kumoi no Taki". This section is a midstream area with beautiful mountain streams and is also called the "mountain stream area". "Ashura Rapids" is a famous place that often appears in commercials and posters. "Makado Rock" is a place where rocks rise like a cliff. The goal "Kumoi no Taki" is also worth seeing. This time, the downstream area (forest area) is omitted due to time constraints, but there is also a famous place called "Samidare Rapids", so if you can afford it, you should walk from the downstream. From Kumoi no Taki, I took the shuttle bus back to the hotel and checked out at 12:00, so I left the hotel after slowly soaking in the hot springs.
