- As per request! Tidal Blades 2: Rise of the Unfolders has a beautiful Folded Space insert you can get for it. The problem is trying to put everything back in the box with the insert. It doesn't close flush all the way. Is it worth it?

Really loving the energy, so much awkwafina vibes coming from you
You are a saint! Thank you for the follow up video and with such a quick turnaround. Some minor lid lift isn’t going to break the bank for me, but it is a little annoying. Your community engagement is top notch.
Oh that's great to hear! Thanks for the kind comment.
Move the bigger secrets envelope to the side edge of the box with the enemy health trackers etc. I got this in with no lift.
Lid lift is often an issue with FS inserts. The best you can do is give the lid as much support by having the top layer as large and flat as possible. Kudos to FS for printing the icons on the trays and replacing the drab grey with nicer colors.
The design for this one is beautiful. My first FS insert from them with design was Cascadia. It adds to the gameplay look on the table! 😍
The lack of bottom to the card holders was a surprise. I ended up using the box the insert came in and used super glue to stick it to the bottom and cut around it after.
@@xenith21 that is such a good idea I should do that!
Great video. I have two FS inserts (Praga Caput Regni, Bitoku) and I think there is some box lift on both. Also, I don't think I will storing either vertically. The smaller components move around too much for me.
Great point. Right now both are horizontal...on my table. 😆
did you try to rotate one of the map books and the scenario book by 90 degrees?
That should help
ok I did figure out how to my lid lift to be near zero (1mm) but... figuring out how to describe the approach is entirely a different matter....In the cases of having 4 cardboard "plates" of the same dimension but smaller than the box itself I aligned each one on a corner of the FS insert and overlapped them one by one so that they were like steps around the outer edges th-cam.com/video/Uot4fS7xrEE/w-d-xo.html. To achieve the same you may have to add the secret envelopes with the bags underneath the FS tray or on the outer edge of the box between the FS insert and the box edge. Maybe one in each area. The larger plates you mention th-cam.com/video/Uot4fS7xrEE/w-d-xo.html I also stacked around the edges such that they weren't all together in one stack in the same corner. It probably comes down to how you handled the 4 cardboard at t=187 as far as seriously reducing your lid lift as well as moving those envelope things to other caches. You might be at 2mm and reduce it to 1mm with that hack.
Going to try this thank you!
@@banzainator oh and if you are looking for another tip, the fight for space between a Lego collection (Especially SW, modular, Ideas, BLDP, Holiday, Chinese New Year, Castle, and Pirates themes) and Board Games is about a fierce a battle as any for your house. I have taken the George Carlin route once already (Buy a bigger house) and after a mere 2 years am scratching my head how to resolve it again.
For the record, you will get 10x more followers building Lego on your channel than you ever will board games or twitch if you make the transition.
Find your niche streaming Lego builds (Sorry MandRProductions has SW locked up, but maybe you can compete with Bricksie in Canada; ignore Duck Bricks he's just bonkers). Use the Lego passive income to expand your board game and twitch reach). You seem to have the talent (marketing, video editing, confidence, etc.) to pull off the foray into Lego videos (if you haven't already). Lego is the Field of Dreams build it and they will come. Then while they are distracted get them hooked on Board Games.
not having a bottom for the card trays is bad, my guess they were choosing between supporting the dividers or a tray bottom and chose the dividers. I could have lived without the dividers...
Not having bottoms is the only annoying thing Folded Space has a tendency to do. Then, with this insert, they randomly have a bottom for one spot (for stability?).
Do you need the cardboard spacer "to level" book C with A & B? Without it, I'm able to get it in with just a teeeeeeny bit of lid lift.
I haven't tried without the spacer! I could try and see if there's a difference for me.
Hello! I suppose it doesn't fit sleeved cards, as another limitation, does it?
I can't remember and will get back to you when I find out!
I’m frustrated as hell with this insert. I threw it away. I’m waiting for a 3d printed option.
You know what makes me angry about this video? Is the fact that you can pick up the little folded spaces without them falling apart
I'm pretty sure I glued them all! Just used regular Elmer's school glue and let it dry over night!
Well ****.... wait does it fit without expansions??
Yes it does. I posted steps on BGG.
Thanks for this, super disappointed with the folded space insert, I feel like it does a horrible job.
I don’t have this game, but this FS insert is comparable to others that I own. I have to disagree with you on you opinion of FS inserts.I find their inserts make setup and clean up easier and faster. And I like the appearance of the game when I open the lid over my usual baggies.
@@stevenamamoto585 Every folded space insert I've ever purchased is lazy and poorly planned compared to other inserts I own like LaserOx, E-raptor, BrokenToken. Game Trayz is peak, I am amazed that Druid City Games didn't go for another Game Trayz insert. Folded space is bottom tier for sure.
There's good and bad, but I do really love how the components can be lifted out just fine for easier set up. I have yet to play this game though, so we'll see how the card organization fares once I get started!
@@banzainator Didn't you follow the fools route of All-In with both Monumental box and the FS insert like I did. lol. What did you think of the sugarcane sleeves?
If you can spend a couple extra bucks, you can laminated the hero sheets and buy some small markers tha can fit inside the standees tray
Also you can glue some white card board that came with the box u der the cards insert.
I would make those two changes.
