Atleast we're not alone. Seems to have been a tough year for a lot of people. I'm thankful they were plentiful last year and we put up alot of pickles and relish. We've been able to enjoy a few fresh this year but only a few.
😊Enjoyed the video so much, they are something I look forward to. You have such a sweet family and you are the very model of a Christian wife and mother.
I love your honesty and Christianity. I love the Lord and I’m so thankful he saved my burdened soul. I love hearing your word from the Lord and I love being able to connect with you. Thank you
I’m new to your channel. My mother heard you talk on the video. She asked me why are you looking at someone talking about gardening and you’re a quilter. I told her you just popped up on my TH-cam feed. I think you’re from Cullman ,Al we’re from Florence,Al. She is 80 years old and still gardening. She was upset today because the beers are eating up her garden they have eaten all her purple sweet potato and pea. God bless you and your family have a blessed evening.
I'm so glad you found us! Yes, you are just a little north of us. I love finding fellow Alabamians. I feel the struggle your mother is having. Some things have been really frustrating this garden season. I'm trying my best to use it as an opportunity to learn.
I peel tomatoes for BLTs...For those whose teeth don't fit well. That way, they don't pull out the whole slice out when taking a bite. As always, thank you for sharing. :)!!!!
Beautiful rural living. What a blessing to be an able to garden. 🪴 Many blessings to you and your beautiful family. It’s always a blessing to watch your videos. 💜
Wyatt is learning so much right now! Repeating all that you say, engaging you with lots of questions, and wanting to help with everything! I love it!! I sometimes miss that "sponge brain" phase with my boys❤
I feel like your geese are so happy to see you and talk so much like when I go to my 1 bunny-he does a circle. Maybe only cause I'm feed lady, but he seems to like the loving/scratches too. LOL. I keep thinking of your space for growing your watermelon as I check on my one plant in my tiny raised bed, but I am so appreciative to have it. Take care. Thanks.
Wow. You’re doing great! I’m having flashbacks to my childhood. Not sure if it’s wistful longing or PTSD! lol. My best and worst memories are in the chicken houses and fields of my youth in Blount County.
Tuscaloosa here. You can mix orange peals with water as a natural pesticide. This has been a bad year for cucumbers. I have 1/3 the held I had last year. Parts of my conventional garden was washed away due to in part to heavy rains & also due to the roads being re-paved for the first time in 50 years so it alter the flow of water & now I will have to cut in swells to redirect it. Do to my dads cancer and bad weather I have not been able to work on things the ay I need to. May your days be long and blessed
Love seeing your videos. We in clay county and have a yellow meated watermelon festival every year. I like the red better though. You were talking about plucking chickens. I remember as a little girl my grandma doing that. Never was of my favorite memories. I'm an animal lover and never could do that. I guess I got attached to easily.
I remember with okra you need to cut the fruit early and often. Also cut the leaf just under (or over?) it. If you do that it will grow all season and reach heights of 6-8 feet
I’ve only seen a couple of your videos but so far I love them. Takes me back to a simpler time in my life growing up on my family farm about 25 miles from Cullman.
Lovely video Tiffany, you always make us feel so welcome. I'm happy that your okra is growing, it's been such a hit and miss growing season all over. Have a wonderful and blessed week 💞
New subscriber here. I grew up in a small town in central Alabama and now live in Huntsville. We always said that if you love someone you will peel their tomato!
Hey, I drove through your neck of the woods the other day. 195 was a mess pouring rain cars in the ditch a lot of humanity. Thought about said to my dang if I actually knew her we could have a glass of sweet tea😂😂
It's the only way I can braid my hair. I believe it's called a Dutch braid. It's like a reverse French braid. You just tuck the hair under instead of over. And I pull the braid closer to my face to grab those short hairs.
Your chickens are cute! 2 stray dogs tore into my chicken coop a few days ago and killed all my girls.. been so upset. They were like pets. Those 2 dogs ripped the wire fencing! Don't even know where they came from. I live in the middle of a little small southern town so didn't expect to many predators here. Not to mention we have a 6ft tall fence all completely enclosing our acre yard..just haven't finished up the last little bit and the dogs found the opening. It was horrible. We are all traumatized.
You know what... I bet I need to renew my PO BOX. I completely forgot about that. I'll get up there this week and check on it. I bet that's what happened. Thank you for letting me know!
I’m in west Blount county and had no cucumbers this year for the first time in many years. I feel like it was a weird gardening year.

Parmesan cheese- fresh or powdered in shaker?
Tiff,we never eat okra, squash, asparagus, eggplant, zuchini unless we make zuchini bread, hope y'all have a blessed evening friend!
I grew up on the sweet yellow watermelon. They are native to Texas. Seeds were hard to find for them this year.
Your garden is beautiful
We always make meatballs at Christmas time and we use grape jelly and chili sauce. It’s always so good. 😊

Love your sense of humor, telling the chicken to get her tail out of the garden😂
My husband’s family peeled tomatoes. They’re from South East Missouri. My family eats the peels. They from Kentucky. Love from Missouri

Hey from Oxford...I'm enjoying your videos..
👋 I'm so glad you are enjoying hanging out with us. ❤️
My mom always peeled the tomatoes. I think I like them better with the skin, though.
Thank you for sharing your gardening! It all looks great! I hope that you and your family are doing well and having an amazing summer ☺️❤️

Well that makes sense 'cause I sure love Justin and wouldn't peel tomatoes for too many people. Lol
@@OurSmallTownLife that’s exactly the tomato peeling philosophy. 😊

I’ve never been a fan of Okra. My Granny Ruth liked pickle Okra. Even tho I don’t like to eat Okra the plant is beautiful 😊
Love watching y'all! Your a great Mom.❤

Never peel tomatoes unless there is a bad blemish 😂
New to your channel ❤ I'm originally from Morgan county. Thank you for sharing your life 😊

Peel tomatoes! 😄

❤❤❤❤❤❤
God made the okra 🙏🏻🙏🏻
I have never heard of peeling tomatoes before eating!
💕👏
I prefer my tomatoes peeled but can eat the skin. Didn’t Audrey plant a garden? How’s it doing?
With the water u have to have some fluoride in water coz of your gums and teeth needs it
What part of Alabama are you in? We live in Birmingham 😄 It’s fun to see your day in the life!
I'm in Cullman County. ❤️ So just a little north of you. :)
@@OurSmallTownLife I love it! Hey neighbor! 🩷
No peel here
Serious question. How do you keep the bugs off tomatoes in an organic garden? My dad always used sevin dust or whatever but that’s pretty unhealthy.
Don’t give leftover watermelon to the ducks if you put salt on it. It will kill the ducks
What kind of okra is that in your Mama's garden?
It's cowhorn okra. :)
Why do you need to filter your water?
I’m
Tiffany…I tried to send you a letter but it was returned as not deliverable as addressed….i used what you have on your TH-cam channel
