ZERO And they have shown remorse, proved they understood it was wrpng, and have taken major steps to fix it. Additionally, Valve never punished the players from DOTA who did the same thing. Valve just takes advantage of their very loyal fanbase to do shit like this.

It wasn't a team, it was a player and the first time there was a (known) matchfixing case. Valve gave him 1 year because they didn't specifically had a rule for it. After the debrief of TI4 Valve made clear that any player who matchfixes will receive a permaban.

The main reason people are saying #freebrax more than any other IBP player is because Brax is so young and he is also a very good player. If brax would be unbanned and he would join C9 in 2018 after Shrouds retire (he announced that on stream) I bet anything that he will get in top 5 players in a year. Steel is a streamer, DaZed is analyst and AZK, Overwatch Pro. They have "jobs" to win money from, but brax is only streaming and he doesn't win that much money from it because he isn't that big.

I remember betting on the match that they threw, it was pretty new on CSGOL and rules within valve were not stated (correct me if I'm wrong). Sure I was upset losing some money for a good month or so and they definitely deserved to be banned, but not a life time ban. I expected a max of one year and life time if it happened again. What's up with this indefinite ban? Just unban them already valve and the other team that threw (forgot the team name), seriously... You're bigger crooks than they are with your terrible odds in the cases, plus getting younger kids into gambling by opening the damn cases. Good video nonetheless..
The ban is not indefinite, it's permanent (sadly).

Honestly I would make them somehow replay to all the people that lost betting on them, plus pay something to charity or something like that. But the thing is Vavle simply cannot unban them now since they said its a permanent ban. If they do unban them what would prevent other teams from throwing and than using iBP as an argument to get unbanned? Only solution where Vavle could potentially unban them (which I don't think they wanna do) is if they make like a rule (since at the time iBP threw there weren't really any rules on what would happen if somebody threw), and this guys have been banned for some time, they will be forgiven but they have to do all of the things mentioned above, and if any team ever again matchfix they will be permabaned.
See If they let the Dota 2 players get a 12 month why the fuck not the csgo players get unban they have been ban for like 3-4 years.

It's pretty sad that you can't even read properly. It clearly states in the article that they played out the game before all bets got closed. And because there were no livestreams of the match the CSGOLounge admins had no way of knowing. Then the VP and LDLC players knew the outcome and could bet on the game they just played.
It is so sad because now a team with the guys in netcode guides are some of the best in NA. To consider that iBuypower should have crushed them shows just how good they were.
Those players at the time weren't at their best at the time, Tarik for example has evolved into a smart and decisive player now. His aim is much better as well. Same goes for the other players.
