Thank you so much for the recommendation, and the many kind words you’ve already shared in the comment section here. But please know you all mean the world to me, this community always reminds me life can be worth living and there are still good, kind people in the world.💕🫂
This is such a brilliant interpretation of Sting's song. Loved seeing your reaction! My favorite cover of theirs is Bongo Bong. It's my happy go-to song every day 😀
"The deeper that sorrow carves into your being, the more joy you can contain." - Kahlil Gibran, "The Prophet" Becca, i think you are living these words in body and spirit. Thank you for reacting with words, with tears... oh yeah, and with joy 🙂
I have never heard this song before, so when the algorithm put your video in front of me, I immediately whet to Rens channel and watched it first. Just so I knew what we were talking about. I have always thought Sting was very strong lyrically with an excellent voice. I'm a dog person too and can definitely say music has moved me to tears before. Excellent work Becca hope you are doing well. It sure seems like it. You look strong with that smile on your face.☮
I'm so excited for you to see more of The Big Push! I love that band just as much as Ren's music! Bongo Bong and Praise You are master classes in harmonizing. They've got great originals, too!
Becca, I so love your reactions - it's impossible not to be lifted up by the unabashed joy and exuberance you share! Thank you for raising the vibration by bringing us along on your ride! "Be yourself, no matter what they say". Yes, great words to live by.
I don’t have the words I wish I had to express how deeply reading this comment moved me a couple days ago. I just wrote this in a comment to someone else, but editing these 2 Big Push reactions (so far) was a strange experience for me (in a good way). I can’t recall the last time I had quite as much genuine joy on my face for the duration of a video as I did for each of these. Even when the tears came, they were of joy. But I get so paranoid that everything comes across as disingenuous, simply because I’m generally a person who just feels things really deeply and can’t pretend not to. My day to day life feels anything but joyful, but then I have moments like this, where I have proof the joy is in there, it’s just doing a good job at hiding out while all the other things take over. Hearing someone say they could feel that joy through the screen-it means the world.💕
Thank YOU for letting me know you enjoyed it. AND for correcting me on the dog-I should’ve looked it up more carefully, because he def has more do a terrier look overall, but I should have confirmed. Still very cool that it’s a breed associated with the UK (I’m assuming, with that name).💕
Oh Becca, I get all the feels with you! The goosebumps and the tears! The Big Push is so much fun. I love listening to them in the car, since driving while crying is never a good thing, and too many Ren favorites make me cry. I have The Big Push songs with some of Ren’s happy songs for in the car. Take care of yourself and feel the best you can. I’ll be looking forward to your next reaction. ❤️
That makes me so happy to hear. It was a weird experience for me, editing a video where I was basically smiling throughout the whole thing. It’s not something that often (or ever) happens, but that speaks to the power of music and the way these guys can draw you in and make you feel like you’re part of something greater, less alone.💕😁
Ok just finished watching your reaction and i have so much to say. I so love hiw Ren can heal peoples heart and soul. I think i just saw you being healed not only your heart but in your brain. Seems your brain was firing on all cylinders. He has done the same for me and im sure millions of others. I've cried so many times listening to his music its giving me understanding in my health issues mentally and physically. And even watching you it heals my heart seeing you and others come to grip with what music and art can do for are health. You getting help from him in this positive way instead of triggering you is such a blessing to watch. Hope you understand cause its hard to explain but i see it and i know its true❤️✌️👋🙏💯
Love this song and love your reactions!!! Thank you for always pointing out the details I wouldn’t notice right away ❤ gonna wear my sting tshirt tonight in solidarity 👍🏻☺️
Yay! Wear that shirt and feel the power of guardian angel Sting.😁 Glad you enjoyed it! Despite the unexpected tears being moved by the beauty of the a cappella harmonies at the end, it’s another one I couldn’t stop smiling throughout!
Becca, your reactions to music warms my heart ❤.. that is exactly what music is for, thanks to the Ren rabbit hole, I have discovered a love for music, all over again 🙏. Watching you seeing the videos & listening carefully to the lyrics for the first time is a total joy 🙏♥️🙏
Katy, this comment (and all your other extremely kind words) have absolutely touched my soul in a way I can’t quite articulate. I’m currently in week 7 of an inpatient eating disorders program, so haven’t been able to film or interact much here, but I wanted to let you know I read every single comment you’ve left and they all made my heart smile. So grateful to have you here. Be gentle with yourself.💕
Becca, another great reaction from you. Please don't worry about not commenting. You really do need to look after yourself and have self compassion. You are right by the way. All dogs are puppies. Our boy is in puppy school working his way to being a therapy dog, he's a wonderful part of our lives.
Another one from Big Push "oh my woman" I think you will like this on as well, With the number following "I shot the sheriff" which you just done, this follows "War pigs" As you like Sting try this one from Disturbed" if i ever lose my faith in you lyrics" .Also try "Sound of silence" studio version and "Hold on to memories" live version.
Thanks, Scott! I hope you enjoyed the original version, as well, if you got a chance to check it out! I’m a big fan of Sting, so this feels like blasphemy, but I think The Big Push’s take on this one has dethroned all others for my fave.
You would love Praise You, but also Bongo Bong, and another under reacted one, These boots are made for walking/ Satisfaction, performed in a launderette shows there individual skills.. Great reaction as always, so nice to se you enjoying yourself.
Looking forward to all of those, for sure! You may be the first person who’s mentioned the The Boots Are Made For Walking performance, and that caught my eye because I’m a lifelong fan of that song, literally have early childhood memories around it. So glad to know you enjoyed this one! It was def nice to smile for a while.😊 And darn near impossible not to, when watching/listening to these guys.
SO good... and great reaction, too! As a long long time Police and Sting fan, I loved how this paid so much homage to the original while making it their own to the level where it is now my favorite version of the song.
Becca it was lovely to watch your reaction to this song because the Big Push are my favourite band of all time! And I'm 67 years old . So not as if I'm new to great music. My reaction to this song was so similar to yours the first time I watched it, which was a few years back now. I've been listening to it today as I play it in my car . I must say again it's brilliant to see someone feel as overcome as I did on a first watch . It's just so amazingly beautiful, whenever I watch it I get all the feels . Check out some more of The Big Push, every song is just so perfect. My biggest regret is I never got to see them live when I had the chance as circumstances at home were just too difficult. Anyway brilliant reaction, much love xx ♥️
I am SO glad you loved this one, and really thankful you were able to feel the emotional connection on the same level-I’m a big Sting fan, and they REALLY did an excellent job with this one, it was impossible to not just be overcome with emotions. So glad to have you stop by and take time to share a part of your own story.💕
@@BeccaDoss It's the first time I've visited your channel but I will definitely check out more of your reactions because you are passionate about music and so am I. I can't always put it into words how I'm feeling, just watching your face was enough for me to know you get it lol.xx
Looking forward, as usual, to a new reaction Becca!! I'll be honest, I've yet to dive into a lot of Ren's band here so I'm excited to discover these songs!
Worth checking out their performance of 'Praise You' (FatBoy Slim cover) if you like their collective voices! Romain and Gorran have some awesome solo stuff too.
Wonderful reaction as always! I agree with others that you may want to check out their Bongo Bong cover and "The Big Push - Live from home (LiveNation broadcast)"
Hi Becca, "The Big Push" "Live from home (LiveNation broadcast)" is an accoustic session sitting on a bed during covid lockdown, building people up and having fun. They are just genius... And for a beautiful expressive also shivers- voice I would recommend 12 year old Angelina Jordan singing Adele's "Million Years Ago". Maybe another, quite different rabbit hole. Like Ren, one of a kind. 17 now, just released an EP with originals.
So cool! I didn’t recognize Ren from the thumbnail, so this was a fun surprise! I love your Ren toy too, it’s so cute!! I’m gonna have to look online for one for myself 😊 Btw, I used to work in the vet field and all dogs are puppies to me too!
So glad it was a good surprise!😊 I got the figurine as a gift from a subscriber on here, and while I think Ren’s online store may currently be out of stock, they also tend to cycle, so keep an eye there if you want to grab one! Thanks for confirming all dogs are puppies, your career pet-igree (forgive me) adds cache and validity.😉
I'm happy to see you back and feeling a bit better. Seeing as you found The Big Push and want to continue down the rabbit hole, might I suggest 2 more performances? 1. War Pigs 2. Bongo Bong The first is a return to the previous busking session where they pick up after the I Shot the Sherrif medley with a mix of Ozzy Osbourne/Black Sabbath songs with a little Rage Against the Machine thrown in. The second is a great vibey live performance similar in tone to this track. Eventually, I hope you get a chance to check out some solo performances of Ren's friends such as Sam Tompkins (See Me and Time Will Fly), Chinchilla (Fingers Live and Little Girl Gone), and Romain Axisa (anything really, he's great!). It honestly seems like everyone Ren associates with is extremely talented.
Englishman in New York is about English writer Quentin Crisp, people who don't know him should just go take a look, just like Ren & the lads he's a very interesting chap.
